UPDATE #2: Thanks to Pigwidgeon Took we now have a transcript of the trailer;
Quote:
Dumbledore: "What you are looking at are memories. In this case, pertaining to one individual. *holds up vial for Harry to see* This is perhaps the most important memory I have collected... I'd like you to see it."
After introduction and into the pensieve: Mrs. Cole: *leads Dumbledore upstairs* "In all the years Tom's been here he's never once had a visitor."
Tom: "You're the doctor, aren't you?" Dumbledore: "No." Tom: "Who are you?" Dumbledore: "Well I'm like you Tom, I'm different." Tom: "Prove it."
*Dumbledore sets a wardrobe on fire*
While running through the fields: Tom: "I can make things move without touching them, I can make bad things happen to people who are mean to me." *just as Dumbledore is leaving* "I can speak to snakes, too. They find me, whisper things."
In the darkness while the logo develops: Harry: "Did you know, sir, then?" Dumbledore: "Did I know I just met the most dangerous, Dark Wizard of all time? No."
UPDATE #3: Warner Bros has sent direct links to watch the teaser trailer:
Otherwise, I don't really like the cave, it is nothing like how I imagined it (but then you can't please us all), and some of the darker scenes, seem to look like either memory, or dreams.
We actually didn't see the full cave.

Bloody hell! Where is his scar?! That's going to have to be digitally placed in when the film comes out ... that hand I'm sure is taking some time but even so, during production they always had Gambon wear a green glove so why would his hand be unburnt now?

Well duh. I was just pointing something out. After 8 years of putting up with us lot, you would figure by now, that Warner Bros would have learnt if we spot an error with continuity we would point it out.
I don't see why sarcasm was actually required, but each to their own.

well the hand scene could be a flash back, at the time that DD was about to get the curse. either that or the VFX for his hand isnt done yet.
i took a screencap of Harry going into the pensieve. the scar is there, its just that its quite faint (as usual) and that its blocked by most of his hair.

lets give the Cave scene a chance. for one thing we havent seen much of the cave at all, what was featured in the trailer was the island that had the basin with the necklace. but production crew did say that instead of the usual stalactites, they were inspired by a salt mine/ cavern somewhere in south america (i think) and thats what they used as inspiration to design this Cave.

i think this is it. unless there's a second one that WB will release. if there wont be a second one then perhaps a 7 min sample of the movie to be aired on TV like what they do for other films.

According to Red, who I trust on matters such as these, it's Cedric dying from Goblet of Fire.
thanks for clearing that up

The romantic comedy angle sounds fresh, which is probably why they're using it. But it by no means indicates that the darkness of the tale is gone. In fact, I've experienced the exact opposite.
if thats the case then thank Merlin for that. i was really dreading that this would be a GOF redux with extended dark scenes.

I really didn't like it. It focused on one scene and it didn't make me excited or anything. The boy was a little too childish and didn't sound cruel at all. He's supposed to be a bully.
Other than that I can't wait to see the movie!

I have to disagree, bullies, when confronted by adult figures tend to be more withdrawn, as the young Tom is in the first part of the trailer. He's defiant for sure..."Prove it!" Did you see the hint of evil in his eyes when Dumbledore lit the wall on fire! You have to remember that the young Tom thinks he's an outsider with all of these 'unknown' powers he has. His mother is dead and his father has given him up...he knows nothing at this point in his life and it's not until later that Dumbledore puts all the pieces together to figure out why Tom is so bitter.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Yes, yes, yes!!! I heard about the release on MTV and came straight here . I think it's cute that Hero Fiennes is playing a younger version of his father's character, Voldy .
So I am not the only one with problems, after all? This computer has quicktime, but still it doesn´t show the trailer very smoothly. I blame the size of this machine´s memory or what ever.
I´m wondering, too, the absence of Snape in the what I saw of the trailer. On the other hand, all his scenes will be like surprises when we don´t see any of them beforehand
How you mention it, there is an advantage in not seeing more than you have to before the actual movies come out :simm: :sevribbon:
...for those who are addicted to Harry Potter like me lol. Also great for those who like an adventure. It's so eery. yes it may not mention alot of the things that happen in the book but its a "teaser trailer" and by gosh is it great. Lots of criticisms of it so far but I think they are wrong to say them tbh it should be excepted for what it is and now I'm even less able to wait for the axtual film lol. Think it'll be the best one yet =DD...luff Lauren x x x x
i cant wait!!!!!!! still, I hope the "most important memory" was not reffering to the one they showed, cause it IS supposed to be the Slughorn one... I STILL CANT WAIT!!!!
