Screen Daily reports that Half-Blood Prince has now become the third biggest Harry Potter film, having taken $610.5 million overseas and $904.9 million globally.
Greece was the final territory to receive the film, on August 25th, where it took $1.9m, the biggest movie opening for the country in 2009.

Ummm....whoopeedoo.  As far as I'm concerned it's still the worst Potter film yet, and the only one I never went back to the theater to see more than once. Kind of wishing I would have waited for the DVD. Word of mouth around me wasn't good and the crowds seriously dropped off after opening day. Oh well, 15 bucks and 2 1/2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

HBP in my opinion was the best one yet maybe b/c being a R/Hr shipper I loved seeing so much of them. What I also loved though was how it had everything- dark,humor, sadness, tragedy, love...just the best- $900 million and counting :-)

Brilliant! Imagine how much time was put into this film, how much money was used, ect. I would say it had a lot of effort put in it. And along with that effort came success.
I am a Half Blood Prince fan, and I'm positive that this will leave most non book fan audiences eagerly awaiting Deathly Hallows.
For example, my dad. He watched HBP with me, and told me it was a "beautiful movie".
My cousin has NO interest in Harry Potter, never watched the previous movies, and told me it was epic.
If we have more than 2 non book audiences hooked then there will probably be more.
What I am trying to say now is that these 2 people will probably watch Deathly Hallows, and I doubt they can be the only two who gained interest watching Half Blood Prince.
