Half-Blood Prince clip airing during Academy awards?
 

The New York Times is reporting today that they have received word from Warner Bros. that a clip from Half-Blood Prince will be aired during the February 22nd telecast of the Academy awards.

The clip(s) will be part of the Oscars' end-of-show, upcoming-movie montage, shown alongside other upcoming features such as Sherlock Holmes and Terminator Salvation (which co-stars Helena Bonham-Carter [Bellatrix]).

However, this has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. (we have already contacted them and await word about the segment), so for now, please treat this as a rumour. Also, there is no word on whether or not this is a new clip or one previously shown in trailers or previews.

The Academy awards will air on ABC Sunday, February 22nd at 8:00 p.m. EST.

I'm actually looking forward to watching the Academy Awards; one of the few award shows that I actually schedule to watch. I wonder if any of the HP actors will be presenters? Just curious in case someone knows the answer.

Actually, they announced this year - for some reason or another - that they would keep the list of presenters a secret. Why? Who knows, but there you go. However, the precedent stands that whoever wins the acting awards almost always come back to present them the year after (so it's almost safe to assume that Daniel Day-Lewis, Tilda Swinton, Javier Bardem, and Marion Cotillard will be presenting next weekend).

ya know, I wouldn't actually want that. I'd prefer to sit and watch the whoooooole thing. It would be torture to be allowed only a little, for me anyway. But if it was showed, I'd still watch it, ya know
