Summary:
Eagle-eyed HPANA reader Colin Thompson (of LAPCO paintball company) sent in an otherwise non-Harry Potter tip by testing out Google Print with the young hero.

Article:

Eagle-eyed HPANA reader Colin Thompson (of LAPCO paintball company) sent in an otherwise non-Harry Potter tip by testing out Google Print with the young hero. He searched for mention of Harry Potter using the new Google feature that finds excerpts of books and tells visitors where to purchase them.

While none of JK Rowling's novels turned up in the results, Roger Highfield's The Science of Harry Potter did, as well as David Colbert's The Magical World of Harry Potter.

More information about Google Print can be found at Aaron Swartz's Google Weblog

I guess it could be cos she's so well known there's nothing out there that says "JK Rowling is the author of Harry Potter", cos its assumed that everyone knows.
You can buy the HP books everywhere, so... I dunno, just a suggestion

Technical hitch is more likely the problem, at least they can fix it now, good job they tested it in the first place!

That should actually go down in history - the only search engine to not recognise JK rowlings work and the Harry Potter series!
