GOF has taken in more then $879 million which tops COS's $876 million in 2002. This now puts GOF in the number eight spot in the most successful films of all time list with COS coming in as ninth.

It is really sad tt PoA is not on the list. Then alll the four movies will be on the list...

tatewin 01-30-2006 02:04 AM

I agree! I can't see how HP Prisoner of Azkaban did not make the list! However, it is wonderful that GOF and the first two are high on the list! Congrats J.K. Rowling!!!!!

Simple Muggle 01-30-2006 05:23 AM

hurray for GoF!!!!

wheezy's gal 01-30-2006 05:24 AM

Of course! I already said in the SS-RGFC thread about a month ago that this will happen.

Each of the other HP movies had an average run of 150 days in theaters. Right now, GoF has been running for only about 70 days, so you can be sure that those figures will still go up (but don't expect it to beat SS). It might rest at 7th spot.

misshermionegranger 01-30-2006 06:16 AM

Yay for GOF! It's very good for Harry Potter and Warner Brother's , isn't it? Nearly all the harry Potter movies are in the top ten! Go them!

FearlessLeader19 01-30-2006 06:16 AM

yay for gof!!!!!

Beav42 01-30-2006 06:40 AM

faith123 01-30-2006 07:55 AM

cool! that's so great!

Ginpotter 01-30-2006 08:25 AM

SS is above them all. I think as it was the first movie of HP so all the people wanted to see it as the Queen.

Padie 01-30-2006 11:44 AM

Yay! GoF was certainly much better than CoS! It would be sooo cool if they were no1^_^

Jessica 01-30-2006 11:59 AM

Hmmm.....

Hmmmm....:hmm: Good news for all Potter fans, but seriously, I never liked Goblet of Fire. It didn't have the charm the fourth book had...Actually, between CoS and GoF, I side with Chamber of Secrets. I've always liked it more than I've liked Goblet of Fire.....*Shrugs*

Anyway, YAYNESS all the same. I hope Order of the Phoenix knocks out Titanic. *Does bugeyes:bugeyes:* That would be saying something. Goblet of Fire was just not my type of film. CoS is, though.

Well, cheers to all. I'm overall glad that GoF got some more recognition.
