'GOF' Tops 'COS' at the Box Office 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' has surpassed 'Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets' in world wide box office receipts. GOF has taken in more then $879 million which tops COS's $876 million in 2002. This now puts GOF in the number eight spot in the most successful films of all time list with COS coming in as ninth. I really hope Ootp knocks Titanic out...I swear I hate that movie still being no. 1 you'd think it was I don't know...Good. *Ottery is now in full on witch mode* ^_^ Wicked even *pushes the Witch of the West into a puddle of water*. |
OMG that's sooooooo awesome!! w00t to Goblet of Fire Omg yea OOTP has to beat Titanic... or at least one HP movie has to because Harry Potter is #1! |
wow ! thats nice.. |
wooooooooooooooohhhh! |
I don't know if any Potter movie will knock out Sorcerer's Stone but GoF was really good. I hope OotP gets on the list. |
Yay!! But PS is on the list too! 3rd place! It is really sad tt PoA is not on the list. Then alll the four movies will be on the list... |
I agree! I can't see how HP Prisoner of Azkaban did not make the list! However, it is wonderful that GOF and the first two are high on the list! Congrats J.K. Rowling!!!!! |
Go Gof!!!!!!!I too hope that Harry Potter and The Order Of The Pheonix does get #1!Go HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
yay !!!! Thats awsome !!! |
So awesome! It's right up there with all the hits... |
Thats great! Go GOF, Go GOF!!! |
hurray for GoF!!!! |
Of course! I already said in the SS-RGFC thread about a month ago that this will happen. Each of the other HP movies had an average run of 150 days in theaters. Right now, GoF has been running for only about 70 days, so you can be sure that those figures will still go up (but don't expect it to beat SS). It might rest at 7th spot. |
Yay for GOF! It's very good for Harry Potter and Warner Brother's , isn't it? Nearly all the harry Potter movies are in the top ten! Go them! |
yay for gof!!!!! |
WOW! Three of them in the top ten. Very impressive. Im sure POA is not far behind. |
:woot: Woohoo! |
cool! that's so great! |
SS is above them all. I think as it was the first movie of HP so all the people wanted to see it as the Queen. |
Yay! GoF was certainly much better than CoS! It would be sooo cool if they were no1^_^ |
Hmmm..... Hmmmm....:hmm: Good news for all Potter fans, but seriously, I never liked Goblet of Fire. It didn't have the charm the fourth book had...Actually, between CoS and GoF, I side with Chamber of Secrets. I've always liked it more than I've liked Goblet of Fire.....*Shrugs* Anyway, YAYNESS all the same. I hope Order of the Phoenix knocks out Titanic. *Does bugeyes:bugeyes:* That would be saying something. Goblet of Fire was just not my type of film. CoS is, though. Well, cheers to all. I'm overall glad that GoF got some more recognition. :tree: ~~Jay~~ |
It deserves too, it was better |
