Goblet of Fire movie causes dwarf shortage
 

FILMING of the new Doctor Who series has been hit by a shortage of midget actors.

Bosses wanted them to play tiny blue aliens - but most have been snapped up for the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie and to play Gringotts Bank staff in the new Harry Potter film.

You shouldn't really use the term midget, it's not politically correct and sounds a bit mean.

I really can't remember gringotts featuring in GoF to a point where it's important. Then again, this is a tabloid, so it could be pure speculation that the shortage is down to HP. Or else they could be being used as house-elves.

That's hilarious that there's a bit of a shortage of them now!

But what's not funny is the meaness directed toward the little people.

there is a difference between Dwarves and between people who are small, i dont know entirely what it is but there is one and you have to use the correct term, but any who i digress, hmmm i can see Charlie and the choco factory making life difficult, but GOF? oh well like Em said, tis a tabloid.......

Dwarf/Shortage, was that a pun? Anyways, Poor Dr. Who...maybe they should import some...seriously, that's kind of funny. They should use kids like they did on The Wizard of Oz.

I'm getting really tired of political correctness, as it just makes life more difficult. I've never heard anyone complaining about being called a dwarf or a midget and I don't think it would bother me particularly either! I personally think 'Little people' is worse.
As for the hype, I do agree, though I have only ever seen a few dwarves and midgets around and I bet even fewer act, so it could be true! I'm sure they will find some from somewhere though, maybe in some far flung place no one has ever heard of.
