'Fantastic Beasts' opening weekend box office brings in over $218.3 million worldwide The total box office numbers for the weekend of November 18th are in, and of course no to surprise Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them topped the domestic and international markets without competition. In the United States and Canada, Fantastic Beasts brought in $75 million in over 4,000 screens, and essentially greenlighting the sequel to the series, which begins production this coming July, directed by David Yates. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Internationally, Fantastic Beasts made an astounding $143.3 million from over 24,000 screens in 63 countries around the world, including the United Kingdom, most European countries, Australia, Brazil and Mexico. There were a few vacant seats when I went, mind you that was at midnight :lol: |
LOL, at the cinema where I watched them, it was not that crowded that I decided to sit with my best friend instead of sitting based on my ticket (I got the ticket earlier, she got at the D day) well, maybe because we were watching it on work day (Thursday) :lol: |
