Fans pay homage to 'Potter' soldier
 

Harry Potter fans reportedly travel to the grave of a member of the Royal Worcestershire regiment who was killed 66 years ago. The British soldier was called Harry Potter.

I think one has to remember that eh its not Harry Potter the Boy-Who-Lived who lies there...eh kinda obvious really eh? lol....

Its nice that people wanna go see his grave but...

thats well sad he was 19 aww! it is a bit disrespecfull though the only reason they are they are visiting his grave is beacuse of his name. They should reconsie that he thought for his country and his family were really upset about it.

I'm going to have to agree with some posts above.. His grave is his family's own property and business. Even though the emotional touch is very nice, knowing that people are visting his grave.... It is not paying homage to the poor soldier who died, but to his famous name.

I know that technically it is legal. But I find it ethically obscuring for the family. Simply because by doing so, their memories of him are being weakened.

However, it is still a good story.

i agree with wendelin. i wouldn't be very happy if a bunch of harry potter fans came to my grave just because of some stupid coincidence. the guy just happened to be named harry potter so what's the big deal? i hope he's happy where ever he is......

sorry, i have to say thats a bit sad. I mean just visiting a grave because the name on the grave is Harry Potter. Should be visiting him for a more appropriate reason like for his services in the war.

im actually wondering what JK would think if she saw this news...
