Fans flogging signed first edition Deathly Hallows on eBay Fans who were lucky enough to have their first edition copies of Deathly Hallows signed by J.K.Rowling on the night of the book release in London, are flogging their copies on eBay for as much as £3,000 ($6,093.92). Jo signed 1, 700 copies in the wee hours of July 21st for competition winners. Within days of the event, 2 copies had sprung up on the auction site. The second copy is currently up for £500 ($1,015.65), although bids are expected to soar. |
Ohk.. thast nice way to get rich |
why are they doing this? did they find the book horrible to get rid of it? |
That's horrible, they shouldn't have done that! Do you know how rare it is? By the way, then the trip to London was nothing at all? This is hilarious! |
wow, whoever is selling those books I do not consider real fans of Harry Potter, I would have treasured that copy forever-not sell it!:( |
If I had a signed copy of DH, I\'d never sell it! Or touch it... |
that would be my most treasured possession. but if you didn\'t enjoy harry potter it IS a good way to make alot of $$$ from people like us. |
I would never sell it i would cherish it forever and ever..... |
Hehe, good way to get easy money. Although, if Jo signed my DH book, I\'d never sell it. |
I\'d never do that... If I had a signed copy of DH I would never ever ever sell it.. or read  I guess they have their reasons, even though I can\'t understand them -shrug- |
If I had one of those copies I\'d never ever sell it... Except if I had 2 copies, then maybe I\'d sell one XD |
uh! they should treasure those copies, not sell them!! gurr thst makes me madd!! |
Ick. If I had been lucky enough to get a first edition of the novel AND to have it signed on top of that, there is no way I\'d sell it. I\'d keep it, I\'d protect it, and I\'d pass it on. Let my children sell it if they wish, But I\'d never do so! |
Most of them are probably fake anyway, there\'s no real way to tell. But I agree with everyone else, I would treasure the book forever if it were signed. |
That\'s terribly awful! If I\'d had my book signed, I would keep it forever and ever and show it to my great grandkids! t would become a family heirloom, passed down for generations! Ack! |
Why the heck would you get rid of your SIGNED copy?! I could never ever do that i would keep it forever! |
:O I wouldn\'t have sold mine! |
If I had a signed Harry Potter book, I\'d never sell it and I\'d have it behind glass. |
I wouldn\'t want to sell a signed copy of DH if I had one! |
I wouldnt sel my copy |
Man, I wouldn\'t sell it if I had one. |
why would they sell something as priceless as that? I mean, yeah they get the cash and can buy as many DHs they want, but none of those will be signed by JK.... |
I would never sell that copy if I was lucky enough to get one. It\'s priceless. Some people can be really stupid just for money. |
WOW that\'s amazing! |
that dumb... |
