Emma Watson & crew talk series changes and split of Deathly Hallows films New interviews with Emma Watson, director David Yates, producer David Heyman, and screenwriter Steve Kloves, conducted on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows have been featured in the March 2010 issue of Total Film magazine, which is out now. Yates spoke about both parts, and how different they are from one another (Part I being a road trip, while Part II is all battles): Quote:

Thats awesome! |
so cooleo |
awesome so much waiting for DH... |
"Ultimately everyone felt that, despite the challenges it would present, the split was the most sound creative decision," explains veteran screenwriter Steve Kloves. "It should allow us to stretch a bit with the characters and give them the proper send-off." Hope he's right.. |
Two part awesomeness I think breaking it into two parts is definitely the wiser choice and i hope they are amazing because if this series has a lackluster send off there are going to be some angry fans out there:madeye: |
I think Part 2 will be the best! Part 1 will be great as well especially the Wedding! Can't wait! Great answers from Emma and the crew! |
I am SO happy that they are splitting it! And both parts are going to be AMAZING! I just cannot wait to see it!!! |
cool beans! |
I despise Kloves. But I am really hoping (with the split) that this will turn good. It sounds pretty good so far, but the preview of DH on the HBP DVD made me nervous... I'll just have to wait and see. *sigh* |
I need to see both movies NOW!!! |
Kloves really is brilliant (his dialogue in HBP was particularly top-notch), and he's done a great job with balancing the source material with what works in a MOVIE, not a visual carbon copy of the books. I can only imagine how rough it is to make an entertaining movie out of such massive books when you're actually doing it. I can't wait to see his work on DH. Quote:

Wow thats awesome, i'm really waiting for DH!! |
I was always wondering how DH will be divided. And now I know! It's awesome! They all are cool, aren't they? |
Cool :) |
so cool i can;t wait |
whether on not the split is what any fan would agree with is irrelevant...they will do what they will do....and we wont have a choice. I am over Yates. |
Nice interviews...;) :woot::woot:The Harry/Hermione moments will be great also like the films.:woot::woot: Can't wait for more updates!!! |

very interesting! |
I don't want to know where the split is. It'll just ruin the film! I want to be in a state of suspense the whoe first film thinking "Is it going to end here?" |
Wow! Great interview! Can't wait to see DH! |
can't wait! can't wait! can't wait! |
Ron and Hermione moments is what we R/Hr shippers are most anxious to see :-) Of course with everything else!!! I SO cant wait for DH 1 and 2!!!!!!!!! :) |
I'm sooooo excited for DH! I absolutely can't wait, but November is toooooo far away! |
I'm nervous. I don't know if this movie will meet our expectations. I hope it will! I'm also pretty darn excited :) I can't wait for the Ron and Hermione kiss either! |
No cliffhangers between the two parts please! :( |
Part 1 sounds Into the Wild-esque, while Part 2 sounds... hm, I dunno, like Star Wars? or maybe Fight Club! :lmao: Anywhooo, can't wait to see the story go from the page to the screen! :jump: |
Can't wait anymore..... |
I'm so excited for the movies! |
Sooooo excited!!!!Can't wait!!! |
I agree! Can't wait to see the films. |
i dunno if i like that... |
I agree with Emma about missing the structure. But that is like life, things move on. |
lovin' life AHHHH WHY DIDNT THEY TELL US WHERE THEY SPLIT THEM!!!!! ah, whatever, that would really spoil it...and no body wants that :) |
I canīt wait to see it!! I read in some pages that the whole movie is going to be in 3D...I hope itīs true, HBP was only 10-15 minutes of 3D. :( |
