Deathly Hallows pushes Bloomsbury revenues up After the difficulties that Bloomsbury Publishing were reported to be suffering from during the second half of 2006, it is no doubt that the increase in revenues due to the sale of books such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows comes as a great relief. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows contributed largely to the increase in revenues of Bloomsbury Publishing. The company's earnings are reported to have risen to 51.4 million pounds during the first half of this financial year. The company hopes to increase or maintain these figures during the second half with titles by Michael Ondaatje (author of The English Patient) and a series of cooking books. Source: REUTERS, UK |
