| | | Deathly Hallows parts I & II confirmed for IMAX 3D
Earlier this year, Warner Bros announced that Deathly Hallows parts I and II would be released in 3-D in conventional theatres. Today, the studio revealed that both installments of the final Harry Potter films will be out in IMAX 3D, as well, in their entirety. Quote:
Under the agreement, Warner Bros. movies that will be released in Imax are: Legends of the Guardian, The Owls of Ga'Hoole 3-D (Sept. 24, 2010); Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (3-D) (Nov. 19, 2010); Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (3-D) (July 15, 2011); Happy Feet 2 (3-D) (Nov. 18, 2011); and The Hobbit (Dec. 2012). Warner Bros. and Imax also plan to release an additional 15 films over the course of 2011, 2012 and 2013, including Gravity, Dark Shadows, Fury Road, Batman 3, and Superman.
The decision to convert Deathly Hallows and twenty other Warner Bros features out between now and 2013 was due to the studio's success in the large screen, according to Dan Fellman. Quote:
"Our track record with Imax has been incredible, and incorporating 3-D into this collaborative effort will serve as the ultimate experience for our audiences," said Dan Fellman, president, domestic distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. "We are extraordinarily proud of our forthcoming slate, and eager to offer these films to audiences in the most premium of movie-going experiences."

I'm not surprised. Let's all hop on the 3-D bandwagon while it's making tons of money and is popular, of course.

Seriously, 3D used to be one of those rare commodities, to enjoy once in awhile.... But I feel like you can't do that anymore if every week something comes out in 3D. Plus it's actually hard on the movie theatres, since in order to make its money, a 3D movie should theoretically run for like 6 weeks... *sighs*

Well,I'm not sure is this good or not.
I'll have to watch it in 2D anyway,'cause there isn't any IMAX cinema near me.

I have only ever saw one movie in 3D and a science thing in IMAX so I am definitely seeing it.
It's exciting.
Like everyone else, I will see it normally too!

It doesn't mean that every 3D movie just has to be great.
I don't know what to think about the DH in 3D.
What's wrong with the 2D?!I'll probably see 3D too,if I get a chance, but just to see how it looks.
