| | | Deathly Hallows part II script read-through today
In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes Helen McCrory talks about the tone of Deathly Hallows, the themes in the final films and confirms that the script read-through for the second half of Deathly Hallows will take place today. Quote:
"It's got a full stop," she told us. "I think up to now, every director who has done a Harry Potter has had to do a dot-dot-dot. They know it's a sequel, they know there's another film coming out. But with this one, we can actually make everything have an epic ending. It's going to be final. And it's going to be huge. There doesn't have to be any more pauses or dot-dot-dots. So they're letting out all the stops with this one."
Quote:
"We finish in April and it does feel different on set actually," she explained. "Some people have been doing it for 10, 11 years. It's part of their lives. So although I've just joined them at the end, a lot of people have a huge emotional commitment to it. There are children that have grown up with the people on the set, like the directors and the costume designers backstage. It's a very big occasion for those people."

It is going to be SO AMAZING! The ending is going to be so cool, how else could they end seven movies? I think I am going to cry the night after I see it, infact, I feel like crying right now!
NOOOOOOoooooo! It CANNOT be ending! And I mean, come on! What is life without Harry Potter!? There will be no more Harry Potter updates, movies or books! NO... MORE... BOOKS...OH NO!
Great, now I'm getting depressed...*curls up into a ball, rocking back and forth* My life will be a big black hole, I say! A BIG BLACK HOLE. I repeat, BIG. BLACK. Hole.... *faints*

I imagine that will be announced prior to them going on location to shoot.

| Hocus Pocus * HP Newsoholic She's right. Alot of people have grown up with HP, not only the actors, but also the viewers. Personally, I do hope that HP #7A&B movies will be MUCH better than HBP, which I thought was only so-so. The graphics were great in HBP, but the storyline, and the way they did not follow the fantastic book, was a great disappointment to me. It's hard to believe that I've only seen the movie once, rather than my usual 3-4 times. I'll just have to wait for the DVD to complete my HP collection. Just my thoughts, thank you. |

It's def bittersweet.... I can imagine that it will be especially tough for Dan, Rupert, and Emma as well as the other "kids" but especially for the trio- they have grown up on the set and will always have that unbreakable bond as they have said many times this year. I know I will be probably bawl when it is all over. But as for the movies themselves (DH 1 & 2) SO cant wait!!!!!!! |

The final film is going to be great, for sure.
It'll leave the fans satisfied and yearning for more
The sad thing is that there won't be

I cannot disagree more with al of you because everyone will be in tears after DH2 but I have to be honest: every year a HP book will be boring to me.
But for the films: this interview with Helen reminds me of a stunning song called 'Save The Best For Last' by ( if i'm not mistaken) Vanessa Williams. Maybe a member of the castingpanel for DH 1 and 2 heard that song and thought: yes, that's exactly what we have to do for the Potterfinal!
But like all of you i do hope one day JKR will be back with number 8 so i'll keep my fingers crossed!
