Deathly Hallows films to begin production late 2008
 

The Scotsman is reporting that scouting in Scotland for background scenery (which has also been used in the previous Harry Potter films), to be used in the Deathly Hallows films will begin later this month.

According to the Scottish Highlands and Islands Film Commission, filming for the final films will take place later this year at Lochabar.

Previously David Heyman said that production would begin in February 2009.

Deathly Hallows releases on November 19, 2010, and in May 2011.

I'm thinking about it, and really, it's very bittersweet. The end is just coming closer. What's going to be left after the movies are done? I mean, the books ending were awful, and then the movies are going to be over. All that will be left then is SS. That's all. lol.

^ Actually, there will still be the theme park, the touring exhibitions and J.K. Rowling's encyclopaedia to look forward to :)

Great. But it is really going to be sad when all this is over. I mean, there is still the themepark, the exhibitions and the encycloaedia but still..

Yay!? I don't know if I should be glad or sad. I can't wait to see the DH movie but I don't want to think about the time when the movies end. Thought Harry Potter will never end for me. ^_^ One good thing is when all the movies are out on DVD, i'm going to have a Harry Potter movie marathon! Movies 1-7 (8 if you include the 2nd half of DH) all in a row, no sleeping. :lol: I have mixed feelings but I still can't wait!

Before I say something like "omg, i'm so xcited abwt the dh films!" I'm going to wait to watch HBP, because OOTP was the worst, imo.

I'm really stoked to see DH, but I'd rather they take a little break first :lol: Production for DH beginning less than a year after production for HBP is completed? They'll overstretch themselves. I'd rather they take the time to go out with a bang, you know?

Interesting, isn't it, how they spend years to shoot something that we'll see in two hours, cry when it's done, and then watch it over and over again.

That's a good point. I'd have thought, what with it being 2 films, they'd need a longer pre-production period. Maybe that's what's commencing this year and actual shooting will take place in 2009? Because on top of that they have post-production for HBP and publicity to do! When's David Yates getting a holiday? :lol:
