Deathly Hallows casting news: Vernon Dursley in, Amycus Carrow out?
 

With production now well underway now for the Deathly Hallows films, we've been inquiring as to which actors are scheduled to make a return to their roles for the final movies.

Firstly, we've spoken to a representative for Richard Griffiths, who plays Vernon Dursley in the franchise, and have confirmed that he will be back. He is likely to be shooting his scenes later this year, in the summer.

We have also spoken to Ralph Ineson's agents about his role of Amycus Carrow. He had already been cast. for Half-Blood Prince; however, at this moment in time, there are no plans for him to be in the last films. This, however, could change or else another actor could be cast in the role.

Deathly Hallows releases on November 19th 2010 and May 2011.

yes he does because harry stupifies him after he spits in mcgonnagals face. please dont tell me there gonna start cutting things again. i mean cmon there making two movies im sure they can fit everything in. also in the imdb list it shows petunia dursley in the cast list but the dursleys are not in half blood prince are they.

^ They may have filmed a bit and were cut.

They hage to have the dursleys i DH.So vernon must be a keeper, yeah!

i like the goodbye from dudley to harry , ''thats almost a i love you'' part. They better keep that, i chocked when i read it...

What? Why are they cutting him? It wouldn't hurt to have him in there...

Wait.. what if they cut that entire scene..?! They wouldn't cut out the Ravie tower, would they? It would be great to see it onscreen, and Luna is in it..

I agree with ^. That's a good scene to be filmed, cause the carrows call voldemort and that's when the school starts to evacuate and get ready for the battle.

i loved the book portion w/ the carrows and McGonnagal.....that part was exciting as it was a build up to Harry figuring out the horcrux was Rowena's diadem.....two movies! Why cut this bit?

That scene will be in the second half of DH, so it wouldn't be cast yet...

I'm glad they're keeping Vernon, but why take Amycus? >_<

The Carrows aren't really that important, but they do appear in the scene where Harry gets into the Ravenclaw common room, so I HOPE they kept that in. Because that's one of my favorite parts.

Well, remember that they do cut out quite a bit, because they need to wrap up the plot nicely, right? So to do that, bits will be cut, and they usually manage to pull it off. But still, just because it's not confirmed yet... And things change all the time, so... ^_^ He could still be in it.

Maybe they'll just end up with calling those roles "School Death Eaters" or something, so he wouldn't be named in the movie, but we would know who it is/meant to be.

Maybe they cut the actor and not the role... Maybe his part in HBP was small and Amycus in DH will have a more important role, so they might cast someone else. OR... maybe he will be in the movie, and they just haven't gotten to hiring him again for this one! Who know... it's all speculation. But I have to agree with everyone in that I hope Amycus IS in DH.

Well what about that whole scene in the Ravvie common room with Luna and Harry and the Carrow? Are they cutting that out!

Oh come on they are making the last book 2 separate movies they should be able to keep everything in those movies.

They realy have to include that scene with Carrow. I just think it's important. Maybe they're just being slow confirming the actor, because I really don't see them cutting out Carrow completely. If they do, I'll be SEVERELY disappointed.

I just don't understand why they would go to all the trouble of casting someone to just stand at the top of a tower if they won't be back for DH where there's actually some lines and action for them. It doesn't even make sense.

I think they should keep him. What about the scene in Ravenclaw Tower? That was kind of important I think.

It IS important. And they should keep him, or at least hire some other actor to play Amycus; they can't just get rid off that part, or change it, or whatever.

Hmm I guess they could pull it off without Amycus. He\'s really only in one scene in this one right? When Harry and Luna go to Ravenclaw tower?

although, I hope that Ian comes back because if they cast another actor it will all just be really confusing... And hopefully also, they are not choosing between this or that.

I don\'t care how small your part is, the tiniest little Hufflepuff in the book HAD BETTER BE CAST IN THIS MOVIE!!!!!!! :hairpull:

I think they will probably cut the trip to Ravenclaw Tower.
Remember that with the new HBP movie Canon, Harry never gets to see the Tiara as Ginny hides the Prince\'s book.
I reckon they will just have Luna with a drawing of the tiara, Ginny will recognise it, tell Harry when and where she saw it, which leads to Harry getting everyone to clear out the room so they can retrieve the Tiara.
The Snape/ Minerva confrontation could take place outside the RoR without Carrow\'s presence.
