Daniel Radcliffe attended the 56th Annual Drama Desk nominees cocktail reception in New York City on Monday evening. Dan was nominated as Outstanding Actor in a Musical for his work in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Photos of Dan on the red carpet can be found in our galleries.

Nominations for the 65th annual Tony Awards were announced this morning, and while How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying did receive eight, including best musical revival, Dan himself was unfortunately shut out. Dan actually commented on not having been recognised in an interview conducted earlier today.

Not really disappointment since these photos are from an event that took place last night, before the Tony nominations were announced. Just exhausted, I suppose.

ps: He looks sad and tired in the bottom left picture. And yes, it could be because of the Tony snub: The nominees are actually informed a day in advance. It's not as if they get a call the day of..."yeah Dan?" Dan(thinking he is nominated): "Yes?" Mean Tony critic: "Just wanted to let you know, you won a Tony!" Dan:"What?!" Mean Tony critic: "psych!" Dan: "aw...of course, everyone else was really worthy..." Poor guy!

I wonder if they will add insult to injury and ask him to present for Best Actor in a Musical. Don't worry, Danny boy (ha, you'll never read this), you're still the best actor to me.

He's been snubbed IMO.

He is such a great looking guy. Nice too, it seems.

Sometimes the best of us get snubbed all our life before we are able to show them what we're truly worth. However, that doesn't mean that we're anything less just because you don't become famous or win an award, as in Dan's case. I'm terribly upset that Dan didn't get nominated; however we all know he's one of the better (real) young actors out there today so Dan's in good hands. :) Hopefully, he'll get a nomination next time when he comes back to Broadway again, which I'm sure of. :)

I can't believe he wasn't nominated! Come on! Dan's so awesome in this show! They raised so much money for Broadway Cares and I'm sure that was partly because people loved Dan's performance and told all their friends. I know someone who watched it twice cause he loved it so much. Dan's so good they should have put in a musical number in DH 2. =)) Anyway, what do I know, right? :))

I said the same thing.. There were soooo many strong male leads in a musical, the ones who were nominated are just standouts. It is going to be a strong race. Dan did great & for a 1st time musical lead, he persevered and gave it life. Kuddos to Dan for giving 100%. Nothing to be ashamed about.

Yay! Dan Larroquette is nominated! I am so glad, now Dan Fielding can retire from the courts! H2SIBWORT is worth a shot and everyone should go and see it. Definitely entertaining.
