In the October issue of Empire magazine, actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson spoke in detail about the grueling 18-month production of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Full of spoilers, the article has quotes from Dan about filming King's Cross on a bright white stage; Rupert explained how Ron's turmoil is more emotional in the last two installments; and Emma revealed that the film begins with Hermione wiping out her parents' memory, in detail. The interview can be read under the cut; new promos from the film, which show Harry looking into the broken shard of Sirius' mirror, the trio walking through a trailer camp, and Harry in a dark room, along with solo shots of battle-scarred Harry, Ron, and Hermione, can be found in our galleries, courtesy of RG.net. 
Warner Bros will be releasing hi-res versions of the movie stills in the coming days; we'll have them then.

So, I'm guessing the broken shard of mirror is going to be Part 1's theme? Like in the credits of each movie they have some sort of animation based on the movie(HBP has smoke/inky type thing)?
Anyways, interesting interview. Emma's quote about the romance thing is so true.

wow, it''s so exciting that they will show Hermione removing parents' memories! it was barely discussed in a book, she just told about it Ron and Harry. I'm wondering how she is gonna do it. definitely a heartbreaking moment.

I really love Emma's twilight comment because it is completely true!
But I don't think it was just there to remind us of how pointless twilight is but to also let us know that the R/Hr smooch we've been waiting for won't be along the lines of hot and sexy especially because of how awkward she said it was to film  Though I'm sort of surprised if that was actually what fans were hoping for
This is because, in my opinion, this isn't a bad thing because the way their characters have been portrayed in the film's would lend much better to a kiss that was more sweet, and romantic vs. the steamy and tear-your-clothes-off stuff that you would see in twilight lol Actually, since the house-elf plot line had been cut, I was expecting it to be more gentle anyway cause there would be no sudden "bang" of emotion to initiate the kiss
I for one can't wait to see it and I know it will be my fav scene of the second part
Edit: I also believe that what Emma meant by this statement was that since the romantic side of love isn't the main plot of the series (like it is in twilight) whenever the romantic side shows threw, people get excited as it doesn't appear that often and some audience members are also surprised for the same reason.

Amazing interview! And I'm sure Dan is right, all these scenes where Harry is tortured by Voldermort; they will move people. And the scenes with bodies all around, kid's bodies; that would be horrifiying and very moving. Like a scene from a war movie or something.
Awwh, I know how Emma felt when she lost those precious photos!  I'm really sorry about that! It's really annoying when you lose something as valuable!
