Chris Rankin: Percy is a "nasty piece of work"
 

In a new interview with Surrey Online, Chris Rankin has spoken about his character, Percy Weasley, in regards to 'Order of the Phoenix' as well as reflecting on his experiences in the Potter franchise.

Chris also talks about what he'd like to see happen to Percy in the last book; "Obviously, for my part, I'm hoping that Percy's descent into evil will continue, and by the end, he'll be Voldemort's second in command, or something like that."

It will be really exciting to see what happens to Percy in book7! I do hope he will realize how stupid he has been... :o)

Well obviously he knows his character well!! And I think most of us will agree with him when he says Percy is a "nasty piece of work." As for him descending further into evil, I actually never saw him as a baddy. I just thought he was a dung head!!

I hope Chris do Percy well. I wonder will they make the scene which Percy will send the letter to Ron wich he told him to leave Harry and be with Umbridge??

Percy must die, sorry :P he will remain evil till the end, I guess Chris is right and true, he knows Percy perfectly

Err.....Chris needs to reread the books. Fudge is the Minister of Magic and Crouch died in Goblet of Fire. I am sure it's just a slip up but you would think an editor would have caught the mistake and correct it.

wow, i'm so excited for the next film. it's going to be amazing, and we get to see sooo much more of percy. x)

Yeah Percy sucks. I hate his character. Although I like the idea that he is going to cause more trouble in the next film....makes it all the more exciting.....don't u think?

That's nice interview. I hope that Percy's character is featured a lot in the next film. I really like how he's portrayed.

I guess even magical families can have their 'black sheep'. The part I hate about him is that he unrepentently makes his mum cry! What an awful son! :no:

I'm glad Chris is back. It's good to have all the Weasley's intact for this movie. And he has an interesting take on what Percy's problem is. Even though I think Percy is more about pleasing than being power hungry. lol And I think Percy's going to sacrafice himself to save one of his siblings (*cough*Ron*cough*) and end up giving his life for them... Besides, a Weasley with Voldemort? That's just wrong. :p
