It has been announced today that Bloomsbury, the British Harry Potter publishers, have plans to re-release Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages. They were originally released in 2002 and 2004 to benefit Comic Relief. A percentage of the price (£1.15 from each £4.99) from the new releases will also go to the charity, which aids those in need in Africa and the United Kingdom.

The new editions are set to be longer, with 128 pages rather than 96, indicating that there may be some new content. So far both books have sold around half a million copies each.

Awesome. I never got a chance to buy those...hopefully they will be released in the US, so that I can buy them. I wonder if JKR just wrote the new content? I really hope so.

Hm, yay, I guess. I'm curious as to what the new content is, but I've a feeling it might just be drawings. So long that bits of the profit are going to charity, I guess it'll work out.

I had the Quidditch one when it first came out....but I've lost it.

Now I can replace it with a new one and extra content!

Hm, I already have the books.. If they are longer, I want the new ones.. But if they are for charity again, I won't mind much, I guess.. :/

Thats cool, I'll definitely be buying those books because by the time I started reading the Harry Potter books these books were already off the market and I read Quiddich one at my my highschool library and really liked it and always wanted to read Fantatic Beasts and where to find them, this is my chance and believe me I am taking it and it makes it even sweeter that part of the money I pay for these books shall go to charity.

OMG! i think i am becoming quite the prophetess! just last night i had a dream that these two would be re-released. (the photo of them on the last page of my copy of GoF may have triggered it but i still dreamt it.) b

I know what my mum is getting me for a late birthday/early crimbo gift (depending on when they are published)

I am also pleased with the percentage going to Comic Relief - alot of other charitable products have a much smaller percentage!

And btw, I thought you could still get old editions? I think I got mine only a year ago..

I sort of like the Scholastic edition better.

Can't you people just leave things the way they were? They perfect that way...

Well, at least I was able to get the originals before they decided to change everything!

Okay, well I guess I'll see if i can buy them if they gonna be longer and have more in them...but why can't you just do a preprise? Not and entire new cover...
