| | |  Australian & German 'Order of the Phoenix' release dates [updated]
Harry Potter Fan Zone reports that two Australian movie websites have informed them that ' Order of the Phoenix' will be released in Australia on September 6th 2007.
This would make the release in Australia 2 months behind the US, Canada and UK. For ' Goblet of Fire' there was only a 2 week difference in the release dates.
We'll try and get this confirmed or denied. Until such a time, this remains a rumour. EDIT: Additionally Harry Potter Xperts are reporting that ' Order of the Phoenix' will be released on July 12th 2007 in Germany.

We're still trying to obtain confirmation on both these dates. EDIT #2: WB have told us that the dates have "not been confirmed by international". We'll keep you posted on any new developments! EDIT #3: WB have confirmed that the German release date is correct. | |

Lol, yes, poor us! That is really rediculous, we went from getting the movies early, to getting the movies late, to waiting a month and now they are expecting us to wait two months? We never wait two months for a film, especially the box office hits, so I hope that this is an error on WB's part.
I remember when it was reported we would be getting PoA a week or so late, television shows rallied support to change the release date.

That sucks for Australia. I hope it's just a rumor.
It's great for Germany and it might be great for me too, because movies here are released on Thursdays. That's the reason that Germany's release date is on the 12th. Since we got PoA and GoF a day before the US, I hope it's the same thing with OotP. I can't wait!

You know what I find annoying....I live in the Netherlands, and we only need to put subtitles in the film. In Germany they (practically) always do voice overs (soooo hate that) and you'd say it takes more time to do voice overs than subtitles....and still movies are released earlier in Germany than in the Netherlands....so annoying!
