I love the music he has conducted. The music is so beautiful! I really love the Harry and Ginny one! :loved: |
Oh, noooooo... I loved him for part I, you know, but I wanted John Williams to come back :( |
I’m not going to get mad like I did last January, but I’m not going to lie…this does feel like a stab in the gut. I have no doubt in my mind that Desplat is a talented composer with a wonderful musical imagination. However, I really wanted to end the series with John Williams. He was the one who brought the films to life for me with “Hedwig’s Theme” and gave the films that depth and imagination on screen, like the books. It seems only appropriate that he would be the one to finish it off and bring the series to a close with a proper finale. It would be nice for someone to use “Hedwig’s Theme” throughout the series the way Williams did, especially with “Harry’s Wondrous World,” at the end somewhere when the new generation rides off to Hogwarts. Oh well, we could have ended up with a simply horrid composer. At least we’ve got someone like Desplat to take us to the close and for that I'm grateful. |
I wonder if John W. didn't want to come back or if his schedule was full? Oh well, Desplat is brilliant. I love the score for Part 1. :) |
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS SSSSSSSSSS!!!! I LOOOOOOVE HIM! he's my Second Best Composer (after Hans Zimmer)! YES! |

Other than that, it's great that Desplat is composing for both parts. Keeps everything consistent. :) |

its great that we have a good composer but I wanted John Williams, I love his work. |
Hang on it says conducting-does it mean composing as well? |
Oh,okey.. Hope the score will be great.. |
Yeah, conducting and composing are quite different but from the blurb I gather that he's composing as well. Good news to me! |
cool... |

i'll be happy as long as it sounds like the harry potter we know, i am enjoying the samples of the soundtrack on the website so far for the first soundtrack so i am sure it will be fine! |
Huh. I don't want to judge the DH1 soundtrack until I see how it fits with the movie, but hearing it alone I wasn't too impressed. We'll see if this is good news or not. |
ohhh... he's the one from king's speech, right. I remember that name anywhere. he's actually doing a nice job too.. but you know, the previous one was a little bit better... but hey, i'm not going to crack or get mad over music stuffs. |
