25 minutes 3-D footage in IMAX Half-Blood Prince release
 

As Half-Blood Prince will be released in regular theatres and IMAX starting July 17, 2009, it has been confirmed that there will be about 25 minutes worth of 3-D footage in the latter version of the film:

So if you see it in IMAX, you get an extra near half hour of footage? Why in the world would I bother seeing it in the regular theatre then? The only problem I had w/ OOTP in Imax was that the seats were miserably uncomfortable, but i will suffer.....

It isn't location specific. Wherever there's an IMAX, they will have the 3D footage.

No - the film will be the same duration wherever you go. It's just in IMAX you will be able to watch select scenes in 3D.
