A million bottles of butterbeer on the wall, a million bottles of butterbeer
Universal Orlando reps just informed us that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has officially sold 1 million butterbeers since the park's opening nearly seven months ago in June 2010. To celebrate the milestone, the theme park gave out 1,000 complimentary butterbeers to guests visiting Hogsmeade today.

“You can see the excitement on our guests’ faces as they wait in line – and then the smile that comes with their first sip,” said Ric Florell, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Resort Revenue Operations for Universal Orlando. “Butterbeer is not just a beverage. It’s an experience.”
The park also has added a fourth butterbeer location in the Wizarding World to help meet rising demands for the beverage.
