Festival Vendors Unlike the usual vendors that inhabit these parts of the street, bright colors and smiling faces are there to greet all those who are interested in spending money on fascinating items such as these. Self-propelled paper airplanes wiz through the air and talking china dolls can be heard in passing as you wonder the vendors. From magical portraits to gorgeous plants, there's no end to what you can find here at the festival vendors. |
Pat/Dora :3 Look see, Ascanius had come down to this Street Fest thing because he had nothing better to do and, honestly, so far it was shapping up to be sort of lame, yeah? There wasn't anything that was REALLY catching his eye or something. Smirk. 'Cept the views because SERIOUSLY Hogwarts girls always seemed to bring their A-game. Something was in the water, he was sure of it. But anyway, the fifth year (weird stuff) walked down the streets and inspected everything with a close eye. Hippogriffs, food and lastly vendors. Anything good? |
AHEM HEM. ......... "ATTENSHION! ATTENSHIOOON..!!!" The flamboyant French man called out to anyone nearby. "Come zis way at once! I 'ave ze best deals in ze 'ole world for you to see! Faux furs, galoooore!" And he CLAPCLAPPED his hands together for emphasis. Look at all that fur. At his vendor stand were piles of fur coats, sweaters, hats, scarves, socks, even trousers! The possibilities were simply endless. But wait... there's more! "Zese faux furs are made from ZE FINEST materials in ze wooorld! Not only zat, but zey are animal friendly. No animals were 'urt in ze making of zis coat! And look--" Pierre gently pet the fluffy collar of his fur coat. "I LOOK INCREDEEBUL." |
Quote:
.... but maybe not that. Faux furs? The almost fifteen year old eyed the obnoxious man suspiciously with a bit of curiosity. Hm. No. She didn't need any of those. She would go where there was loud music playing and see what interested her there. Dora turned away from the vendor a bit too fast and somehow managed to bump right into Ascanius. |
Quote:
While he was watching the...what was that accent? As he tried to make out in his head what EXACTLY the foreigner was saying, he managed to get bumped into. Jeez! Why was it that people were always bumping into him? Hmm? S'not like he was small or anything, far from it, so it couldn't have been that hard to avoid running straight into hi- Oh hey there, gorgeous. Smirk. Nah, she was fine. She could bump into him all she wanted. Straightening himself out, he smirked, "You okay there, gorgeous?" 'Cause she HAD walked straight into him. |
Quote:
But then she did look up and rolled her eyes at his words. "Dora." She corrected instantly. "My name is Dora. And I'm fine, just didn't see you." Dora released her hold on him and took a small step back, looking him over casually. "Are YOU okay?" Since they were asking, and she was already checking. |
Quote:
He put out his arms to help steady her a little and then let her go once she seemed to be back on her own two feet. Inspecting her, he smirked at her words, "I know your name, beautiful." He wasn't inept, yeah? "And I'm just fine." Understatement. He was EXCEPTIONALLY fine, this jaw did all of the work for him. Smirk. |
Quote:
Once it was certain that they both were okay, she glanced back at the faux fur guy then back to him, tugging on her vest. "You see anything here that's caught your eye?" Dora started off in the opposite direction of the loud sales guy at a slow pace, expecting him to follow. Neither of them probably wanted furs, but she could find something else, and he could tag along. |
Quote:
And then she said something about something and he wasn't listening. Mhmm. But he would pretend that he was all interested with a nice smirk and the occasional head nod. Look at how interested he was, yeah? "Maybe," Ascanius said truthfully. He just wasn't sure if what he assumed was correct or not. ALTHOUGH, that guy did look super zen, which had him wondering. Smirk. |

"Excuse you," the redhead murmured, ruffled by the Frenchman who had suddenly popped up in front of her. She planned on bustling right by his booth, but then....... well, then she saw it. A coat. Not just any coat, though, no. This coat looked to be THE coat of a very rare, dangerous animal dear to her heart. The redhead stopped and pointed to THE coat. "Excuse YOU," she repeated, much more loudly this time, "but is that NUNDU FUR??!" |
anyone Addi was so excited when she saw the street festival. She loved fairs and carnivals and anything of the such. And to see all special little things from the Wizarding world around, just made her eyes light up even more. If this is what normally goes on here, I should have tried letting my parents let me go to Hogwarts a lot harder. She walked down the street, with a little bounce in her step as she passed through all of the various booths and such. Adelaide was sent on getting something. Might as well waste her parents money on things they didn't exactly approve of. She paused momentarily at the florist booth, her eyes lit up taking in all the pretty flowers. |
I'm totally lovin' the French guy. So far, Stan was having a pretty bad time. He wasn't a huge fan of festivals, loud noises (Okay. What was with the French guy!?), flowers, dolls or anything girly, really. Honestly, it would have been more fun sitting at home. Making his way through the packed street, he somehow managed to bump into a |
Quote:
He's cute. She started to blush immediately at her thought, not having had much interaction with guys even going through Muggle school. "It's all right. You didn't hit me that hard so no harm done." Addi really wished she'd had more guy friends |
Quote:
The fifteen year old hesitated for a moment. He was thoroughly bored and had planned on going home buuut at the same time, it would be nice to make a new friend. Meeting and talking to new people is fun. "Would you like some company?" |
Quote:
She continued to smile at his suggestion. Surely she could manage not to make a fool of herself for a little while right? "I wouldn't mind it. I'm here all by myself. But I'm used to that." |
Quote:
Until she yelled at him. Oh, right. Ze coat. "Why yes, my beyootiful fire-mane!" he responded, reaching out as if he was going to touch her hair... but the last time he did that... well it didn't end well. So he didn't touch it. "Zis coat is even better zan Nundu fur! Zis is made of ze finest materials. One 'undred percent organic, natural and free of 'armful chemicals! Not only zat, but no nundus were 'urt in ze making of zis coat, so our precious animals may stay alive and 'ealthy, but we still 'ave ze means of creating an... exact replica, if you will, of ze fabulous fur of ze nundu." Mhmmmmm, yes. Long speech. Animal rights and things. Pierre lifted the lovely coat to show her. "Would you like to try it on, Madame?" Hm hmmmmm??? |
Quote:
She would overanalyze that remark later, thank you. The redhead continued to eye the fur vendor suspiciously. "How is the coat organic and natural if it did not come from an actual nundu?" She would have LIKED to believe that no nundus were harmed in the making of this coat, but she also wasn't born yesterday... despite her youthful appearance and all that. Annie bit her lip as he lifted the beautiful coat up. "Oh... well..." she hadn't expected to be offered THAT. Maybe if she tried it on, though, she'd be able to better judge its quality and authenticity. "I suppose, if you insist, it won't hurt to try it on..." |
The flower stall was an exceptional cacophony of colour, and yet somehow it seemed as if it was one large arrangement, like it wasn't accidental at all. Whats more many of the blooms appeared to be moving but it was a magical florist vendor after all. Some flowers are potted, others are cut and ready to be arranged into pretty bunches, and most flowers can be bought as seeds or bulbs for your magical garden. Manning the flower stall are two young men, both appearing to be in their mid-late 20s, and both sporting charming grins. Step right up and take a look (and a whiff!) of the pretty flowers. There were a couple of kids floating about already, Jim noticed, and a few girls eyeing up the flowers. He smiled at them and kept himself busy with watering. "I'm glad you're here." He said to Plymouth. "Means we can take turns going for snacks." Because honestly, that was the best part about a streetfest. Jim planned to make the most of it... and make the most of the weather and see about scratching up some business of course. He kept one eye half on the teenagers right in front of the stall (GrapehGrape & Lady of Light), and did his best not to eavesdrop. C'mon guy, get the pretty girl some flowers. |
"Same, man," Same. Plym!Jim Manly Flower Stall Manning had commenced! Plymouth was already out of breath, even though he was just MANNING the flower stall. His lack of efficient oxygen had to partly with the heat, but mostly excitement. Anticipation. Also this was sort of a trial run for him and Jimmy.... If they did well today... He nodded about snacks, but he'd already given all his money to Zahra so he'd just forgo snack time. "Humming Hyacinths." COUGH. COUGH. That's what the young teenager should buy his pretty friend. COUGH. HINT HINT SUBTLE HINT. |
SPOILER!!: Potions for sale Somehow, she found it amusing that the moment she’d chosen to try her hand at selling some of her more amusing concoctions, she was sharing an area with someone she knew. At least, Grayson remembered Jim from school, and weirdly enough, some of the people who had been wandering the little street festival as well. She didn’t know if any of them remembered her, but then, she wasn’t there to have a reunion. She was there to spread her little pranks around, possibly make an impact of this term’s students and Hogwarts itself, even though she’d been well-aware of what had been going through as far as rumors, and articles in the Prophet. She’d needed to keep track of the school events, since she’d eventually be sending her own kids there. No homeschooling for Delilah, not after she’d gotten to know that experience way too well. Anyway, she was supposed to be getting people to check her little stall out, and she wasn’t going to be as annoyingly obvious as the French fur guy, going so far as to try and touch potential customers’ hair. That was just weird, and she knew even Demarcus would agree. Had he not been off with their daughter somewhere, but she could ask him when they came back to see how she was doing. There had to be some pranksters left that would find her little booth interesting. It might not have been covered with furs, or quite as colorful as Jim’s flower stall, but that didn’t make it any less awesome. It had her, after all, and all the little glittering bottles arranged on the table by type. She might be little, but that hardly made her any less capable of getting attention. |
Cliodna had two sugar gliders on her head and a cage with at least seven pygmy puffs in her hand as she strolled down the busy street of Diagon Alley. It wasn't like she demanded the presence of cuddly creatures full-time, she was just taking them out on a walk. And to watch her when she eats. And to sleep next to her when she sleeps. And to smell nice when she takes a shower. She just wants them everywhere at every time with her, OKAY? *twitch* Quote:
Quote:
"Hello--" Immediately, her two sugar gliders BOUNCED off her head and onto the flower stall, started climbing up up uppppppp to the very top. Cleo gave the little creatures a panicked look but didn't really know WHAT to do?!!??! So she glanced back at the two men, "Umm UMMM UMMM! I'm sorry! they won't hurt your plants, they just like to climb things!" Were they angry at her?! At the sugar gliders?! Would they still sell her some flowers!? She wanted the carnations and the hyacinths so bad. ;__; |
Cliodna toooo! ^_^ Stan staaaared at the girl. She was used to being on her own? That was weird. And a little sad. He neved liked being on his own, except when he was upset about something. But, how could anyone get used to it? Um, right. "Great, then." Stan grinned brightly at her and extended a hand. "I'm Stanley Hastings." Introductions first. Oh, look. There was another pretty girl standing next to him now.. although the grin on his face slightly faded when he saw the two tiny creatures on TOP of her head. What on earth were they? And he watched with amusement as they bounced off her head and disappeared into the flower stall. Heh. "You should calm down.." 'Cause he could see that she was freaking out. Big time. |
Visiting the potions vendor There was no question to why she was here, it was purely to get out of the house and take Braeden with her since the soon to be two year old was starting to want to go more places than just out to the backyard to slowly walk around, well it was more like a duck waddle since he hadn’t quite gotten the hang of it yet but Raven knew that her son would have gotten the hang of it soon enough; he was an Athlon after all. Even if that last name had been attached to some pretty unfortunate descriptions at times by certain individuals, most of it being her own doing when she was younger though as hard as it had been to believe; she actually grew up and wasn’t exactly the same person that she had been at fifteen back in Hogwarts, those certainly were some interesting times because of the fact that the former Slytherin wasn’t exactly one to stay away from trouble. If the detention had said anything about it, among a few certain plans that might have still been back at her house and just because she wasn’t looking to actually implement them really hadn’t meant that there was a point in disposing them, perhaps there would have been stories to be told had she found anyone that went to school with her but for now; there was only the festival to continue exploring. Maybe a donation to be made to the school later on, had she actually considered it because even if it had been ten years since she graduated; she didn’t want to see the school close and have people lose out on getting a good education. Putting the words money, donation and Raven Athlon in one sentence never made any sense but really she hadn’t cared if they had or not, not when there was a much more pressing situation to deal with. Finding herself in the vendor stalls, the amount of different things for sale had been quite impressing considering Diagon Alley never usually had anything close to this; outside the normal shops, perhaps there was something that could have been useful to her or maybe just something that could have been brought back to the house that was a decoration, like the old potions cabinet which hadn’t been opened in years. Before she moved any further, her green eyes caught the sight of an array of potions and only moved closer to the table which was when she saw exactly who was selling the various bottle of potions. “Well, I certainly didn’t expect to see you here. How have things been?” she asked, only amused at the fact that she was talking to Grayson, the one who many years ago had been practically an accomplice to her troublemaking and that definitely made today all the more interesting. |
Quote:
If he insists? "Oh, I do insist!" And with that, Pierre shuffled around his booth and helped her into the coat, whether she wanted help or not. Then he spun her around so he could get a good look at her and let out a big gaaaaasp! "Oh, my sweet! Oui! Oui!" Pierre clapped his hands together. "C'est magnifique! You are an angel in nundu fur! Spin for me, my doll!" CLAP CLAP CLAP. |
SPOILER!!: she sees you people too Quote:
Then she noticed the two men (Tegs and Mad Eye Touz) manning the stall who seemed to be a little too close to not be eavesdropping. Her suspicions were correct when she heard on of them try and cover up a flower suggestion with a cough. Adelaide bit back a giggle. There was nothing subtle about that at all, but she'd let him think there was. Addi turned her attention back to Stanley...who seemed to now be talking to another girl that had approached the booth. Oh. She wished she wasn't used to situations like this. |

O_______________________O Plymouth Morgan was good with plants, people, general life, but animals and critters...... No. No. This girl...coming their way.... O__O Plym cast a glance at Jim - THIS customer was his. He suddenly needed to..... OH MERLIN THE THINGS WERE ATTACKING THE FLOWERS. AHHH! Plymouth, man that he was, may have let out a very unmanly squeal and might have kind of sort of totally did hide. Period. He was hiding. From those things. Money was not worth being attacked by ....Good Merlin, was that rats? Rats and pygmy puffs. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Quote:
HIM? HE SHOULD CALM DOWN? Yeah probably. Probably true. But nope. Nope. |
Magical Flowers! Must get magical flowers! Just passing through on his way back home from the bookstore, Jepp decided he couldn't just skip the vendor section of the festival even though he was tired. He didn't really have a need to look at the potions vendor nor did he need any faux furs. However, the magical flowers caught his eye. Never in a million years had Jepp thought that he would be standing there in the magical world looking at magical flowers...flowers that moved and did special things that normal everyday muggle plants didn't do. His heart ached a little bit, wondering if these would have made his mother smile even though they were magical. I'll just get some to plant for Elizabeth and the kids. Jepp thought to himself. He knew that Elizabeth would appreciate these and that the kids might enjoy them as well. Now the only problem, was which ones to buy. His money reserves was a bit low, but he couldn't pass up these magical flowers without buying at least one. |
Quote:
......Plymouth was keeping a PRETTY WIDE BERTH from the rabid rats attacking the stall. Though he couldn't help but WATCH that girl. The only way this could have been worse would have been if she had BIRDS on her head instead of rats. Or squirrels or ... no they were pretty much rats. SHUDDER SHUDDER SHUDDER. MANLY SHUDDERING. Heeby Jeebies, man. Luckily, some dude was there to give Plymouth something to do. "Hey man. Need some help?" |
Quote:
"Yeah. Uhm. How much are those." Jepp questioned pointed to ones closest to him changing colors. Surely a garden full of color changing cornflowers would brighten up Elizabeth's garden. |
Stan winked at Adelaide, still smiling. "That's a pretty name, Adelaide." Super pretty. He hesitated for a moment before he continued, "I would rather you call me Stan though." It was shorter and MUCH better than Stanley, yes? .... Did this flower guy just SQUEAL? Like a little girl? But then again, he worked at a FLOWER stall. Stan shouldn't be that surprised. And all because of those two tiny little creatures. |
LMAO this guy... SPOILER!!: ...knows how to woo a lady ;) His lovely red-haired beauty?! If Annie's eyebrows went up any further they'd be lost in her hairline. But she, too, did gasp when he showed her the tag. 100% organic wheat! "Is it whole wheat?" she had to ask, now utterly entranced with the idea of wearing a coat made out of a plant transfigured to look like fur. It was like all of her favorite things in one wearable piece! GENIUS! Of course she helped him help her into the coat. Hehe. Why not, when he was offering, right? Annie did a pirouette and made a few Who caaaaaared what it cost, she was wearing WHEAT FUR! Oui! Even Ethan would appreciate this. |
Text Cut: oui oui ;) Seeee, she was impressed! "Oui, 'ole wheat indeed, my little red flame! You could probably even eat it if you got zat 'ungry, but I don't know 'ow good it would taste." The French man let out a hearty chuckle. Oh, he was so funny, wasn't he? OUI. Pierre clapped some more as the redhead spun around for him. "My dear, you look like one million galleons! Stunning!" Oui ouiiiiii! "Oh, ze man in your life is such a lucky one, no?" Because surely this beauty was taken by another. It would be a shame if she was not! Or not and then he could woo her with all the wheat fur in ze woooorld! Heh. "Tell me, my love, tell me you will buy zis coat and make all ze men in ze world fall to zeir knees!" He was swooning. Really. |
Kristin and Amanda (a little bit of Roro and Sarah, too) Text Cut: quotes Demarcus made rocket ship noises as he maneuvered his way through the crowd. In his hands was his little girl Delilah, who was squealing with delight. He was certain that people were giving him looks for deciding to play Rocket Ship when getting around the festival without stepping on anyone’s feet was a hard enough task as it was. But all he did was respond to those people with a grin as he zoomed right on by. How could they give him those looks? Just look at how happy Delilah was! Besides, festivals were a place for happiness and fun and games and food and – Oh hey! There was his beautiful wife! The rocket ship duo whizzed and whooshed past the other street vendors and in between and around a man with a funny accent and a redhead woman spinning around in a fur coat. By the time Demarcus and the one-year-old girl made it to their destination, a woman was looking at Grayson’s potions. “I’d totally buy that one,” he said to her, about no potion in particular. He looked over at Grayson and beamed. He was helping with business, right? The girl was smiling from ear to ear and laughing the day away. It was so much fun spending time with Daddy. But she couldn’t help but miss Mummy a lot. Then she noticed that the rocket ship ride was over. She was about to cry about that… until she saw the face that she had been missing. “MUMMY!” Delilah squeaked, bouncing up and down in Daddy’s hands. Then she turned her head and saw that there were two others near them: a lady about Daddy and Mummy’s age and a boy. She blinked at the boy with big eyes and waved an arm at him while saying something in baby talk. |
Amanda and Zoe, plus more observations Text Cut: Raven, Demarcus and two little ones People were still more drawn to the flower stall, and the crazy French guy was still working his magic on the redheaded woman that Grayson also found vaguely familiar even though she couldn’t quite figure out why. It wasn’t really important. The woman hardly looked like someone who would be interested in potions when she was more starry-eyed over the fake fur coat she was currently twirling around in. People who were interested in the type of things she was selling didn’t exactly twirl around in expensive furs, but then she did still want there to be a purpose in her having set up this stall. She had an almost one-year-old to support, even though Demarcus worked too. She wasn’t about to just stay home and not try to do what she loved too, and there were certain potions here that shouldn’t be ignored. She’d just have to figure out how to get people’s notice, when she was likely hidden by all the taller people milling around the area. If she had to climb up onto a chair or something, she would. The only thing she wouldn’t resort to was using her inventory, because she didn’t have the time to replace it before the end of the festival. Turning to find a chair, she’d first missed the arrival of someone to her stall, but as they’d spoken, she’d whipped her head back around fast enough to give a lesser witch whiplash. “Here in Diagon Alley, or working at the festival?,” she asked, curious as she’d always been, even though Raven and the little boy had gotten a big grin. “How’ve you been?,” she asked first. “I’ve just been working on potions and things,” like raising her daughter along with Demarcus, which was the really surprising thing. Somehow they’d managed to raise a baby this long without her ending up glowing or who knew what else. Anything was possible, but she’d somehow managed not to have any accidents. And, almost at that same moment, she heard a familiar rocket ship sound and turned her green eyes to watch said husband whizzing around the group of people at Jim’s flower stall with their little one giggling the whole way. It had put another grin on her face, anyway, especially at the idle comment he’d given Raven. “Hey ‘Lilah, wanna help mummy sell potions?,” she asked her little girl, before turning her attention back to the adults. “Maybe. I’m pretty sure she can decide if she wants any of them herself,” she replied, glancing down to try and figure out which potion he’d even been talking about. Odds were Raven didn’t need an aging potion. |
French fur selling guy!...*tries not to see Jim and Plymouth* Cassie had lost her friends somewhere in the crowd but she wasn't the least bit worried about finding any of them back yet. Her Brynn and Jessa had somehow developed a homing device for each other so she'd wander around until she found them or they found her. Her long legs strutted from under a short blue dress and her dark hair fell in waves down her back. Looking on it wasn't hard to tell that she was in fact a model as she oozed confidence as she made her way through the crowd and to the vending stalls. There were flowers but she figured that she'd stop there last and take in the furs. "What's your selling rate?" She asked running her hand over a particularly fluffy white one. |
Grayson, Demarcus and the second gens. SPOILER!!: Quote Just being around her old protégée had brought back memories of being the seventeen year old getting ready to graduate and handing over whatever plans that she hadn’t had the opportunity to use while at the school, it wasn’t a bad set of memories for Raven since those definitely were some pretty good times and despite the fact that it had been literally a decade after graduation, she hadn’t changed much. Of course the only noticeable difference was having Braeden around but it hadn’t been all that much different outside of that, though obviously to some people it would have been quite the surprise to see her with a child merely because it had been unexpected; she never seemed the type to be a mother at any point in time but it happened. He hadn’t really acted like her yet which could have been a good thing seeing as she wasn’t always the little troublemaker that actually wasn’t that little, many years ago; she was actually a good person and that was still there even if it really hadn’t come out all the time. As far as she was concerned, her son would have probably started taking to the Athlon name eventually like everyone in the family had. Before there was any chance of replying to Grayson, she noticed Braeden fell on the ground and leaned down to pick him up so that he didn’t get hurt; people hadn’t always paid attention when they were wandering around the Alley and they didn’t want to deal with an angry mother that could have hexed them more than once. “How about a bit from column a and a bit from column b?” she replied, only allowing an ever so slight grin to find its way onto her lips, that was always a sign that she was amused by something; whether it had been obvious or not. Didn’t always matter. “Good, busy for sure since I’m working with my own photography studio and of course taking care of my son Braeden.” Finally replying to the question even if it had seemed her earlier question had to wait for a moment, she didn’t mind at all because she knew that sooner or later, the question would have been answered and that meant that there was some level of patience. Even it had never been well accounted that she had any patience whatsoever, it depended on the situation. Just as she was about to open her mouth, the notice of a man moving a baby around like a rocket ship had only made her curious because it was obvious there had been some attachment between him and Grayson. Braeden saw the little girl too and just gave her a little smile before replying back to what she said in the baby language that parents wouldn't have been able to understand. Once her old friend started to speak, it all made sense. Definitely interesting. “So I take it that is your daughter. Have to say, I never would have thought that you would have a child.” Another amused grin graced her face as another comment had been made in reference to the potions on the table. “Oh I am interested in a few. Except for an aging potion, not purpose for it when age has treated me quite well over the years.” Not to sound arrogant, but it was true. |
Quote:
The first thing to grab her attention was fur coats. Winter would be there soon and Beauxbaton wasn't known for it's lovely winters. Chelsea thought of just about every reason why she would need one...or two, you could never be too sure what would happen. Besides, her old one had a rip near the collar. It was hardly noticeable but she knew it was there and couldn't possibly wear that coat anymore, therefore, she needed a new one. Yes, logic right there so she headed ove-- "Cassie?" Chelsea stopped a bit off and stared. She was the last person she expected to run into here. "You never told me you'd be here." Did she expect her to? No. Her older sister wasn't obligated to share every detail of her life with her, not even the trivial things. She got closer, taking in the coat that had caught her sister's interest. "I think that'd look better on me. You should let me have it as welcome back to London kind of thing." It wasn't asking too much, her sister had great taste, just look at clothes she'd gotten her. Good thing she wore them today. She might be able to squeeze a compliment out of her while she was in them. |
Quote:
There was a slight smile at her sister's comment. At least she'd gotten rid of the horrid clothes she came to them with and now look at her. Maybe she should let her have it. "Maybe after I see your grades. Cute outfit by the way." She offered a wink. |
Quote:
OH THE CORNFLOWERS! BEAM! GRIN! "Why don't you tell me who they're for first," and Plymouth would help make sure he was getting the RIGHT flower. "For a laaaaaady friend? hehe. Hehe." Wink wink wink! Quote:
"..............never better, man." You know. No big deal. Just rats attacking his flower stall. No big. He was alright. He was cool. Plymouth did a little jump, shook out the tensions in his shoulders, few neck stretches. COOL. He was cool. He just wasn't going any NEARER to his BUSINESS 'til those things were taken care of. "Not to butt in," but to totally butt in, "but I think your lovely lady friend probably wants a flower. Or two. ....hehe." WINK WINK HINT HINT. JUST SAYING. HEHE! |
Quote:
As mature as Chelsea liked to think she was, she ended up making a face at her. "Grades, you know I'm good on those. I've been acing the classes all term. Give me the benefit of the doubt and the coat." There as a Storm smile to add to that. The very charming kind of smile she'd been told she got from her father. "Besides, the OWLs will take forever to be handed out, this coat leaves much sooner." And there it was. Couldn't help herself could she? Not that she would complain. This was as close to a compliment as she figured she would get. "Thanks. Someone with good taste gave it to me." And that was a close as she would come to giving one. |
Quote:
"I saw that and yes I know, which is why I bought you those sandals and that dress back from Greece last year but I'd still like to wait on those grades. I'll buy the coat but I'm keeping it until then." It's not like the young Storm would be needing it any time soon anyways. "Well give her a heart felt thank you for me won't you? Because I approve." She rummaged through her bag for her purse. "So how are my parents?" |
saying hai to Jim/Tegz too Quote:
Not in the least bit. "Is that why you got them for me? Here I thought you felt like giving a sisterly gesture to the only one you've got. Does this mean the gifts will stop coming if my grades suddenly fall?" Not saying that would ever happen. How could it? But that wasn't what she meant when she told her to buy the coat anyway. "Uh-huh, so long as it gets owled to me before I start my packing for school again." She'd need it fitted somewhere to minimize any ugly wrinkles. Heh, of course she approved. "I'll see what I can do. Thing is, she's got something like a big head. I wouldn't want to inflate it anymore." Chelsea reached over to feel the coat. It WAS lovely. "They're fine, Daddy's gone off on business again, I don't know where and your mother's been keeping busy." That's all she had time to say before she realized something. "Isn't that Jim over there?" She took another look before deciding it best to wave. "Jim!! Hiii!!" Just because he wasn't with her sister anymore didn't mean she would ignore him. |
O_O you didn't have to dig very far to find Chelsea did you? Quote:
Cassie made a face and flipped her hair back."No I'll still get you things...like books...Transfiguration for Trolls...stuff like that. And maybe you'll get a lump of sparkly painted pink coal for Christmas." Was she not merciful? "You really ought to give me more credit than that. I'd never not send you anything." "You'll get it when I get the OWL results." And that was final. Cassie rolled her eyes. "I'm sure she must be a lovely person." She frowned. Well that was the usual. Daddy was always away on business and no doubt her mother was busy spending dad's money on some weird investment or another. The HufflePuff's head snapped around in something like slow motion in the direction that her sister was waving in. Yes she saw the flower stand but she hadn't actually SEEN James. She had seen the other guy but that was James alright. Baby blues sparkling and charming smile in place. Cassie turned her back to her sister and Jim and froze completely. Someone kill her now. |
No...no I didn't XD Quote:
Chelsea would play along with her oh so generous sister. "Pink coal? Excellent! I might have a top that will go nicely with it." Her voice was laced with sarcasm but it wasn't the bad kind. As far as things went her sister was good on giving gifts even when she rarely reciprocated. Not her fault she was stuck at school all year with little to no money and no need for any. "I'll admit I like your gifts," minus the troll book, "so thanks." Bet she wasn't expecting that. The tone was enough to tell her the conversation on the coat was over. She wanted to ask that she not wear or wash it but thought better and simply dropped it. "That has yet to be determined." Chelsea joked but paused, completely confused by her sister's sudden behaviour. "Cassie! Stop that! You'll make him think you don't want to talk to him! That's rude!" And they thought she was the one who lacked class. |
well this is a catch up and a half He noticed Grayson over there and grinned her way and offered a small wave, but really there was plenty to take note of at his own stall. Ahhh sugar gliders! Cute little things. Jim had no problem with them personally, they weren't going to mess the plants up. SPOILER!!: Sugar Gliders oooo "Its fine mate. Relax." Jim suggested casually to Plymouth. "How about you take care of the uh... other side of the stall?" So he didn't spook the cute little Sugar Gliders? Yes. And to the little blondie he grinned. "Hey, they're yours? What are their names? Its no problem them hanging about a bit.... if you're planning on buying something of course." He picked up one of the pink carnations and held it out to her, the petals nearly at her cheek when they started whispering compliments at her. "You're so kind, you're so pretty, you're a wonderful friend , you have a lovely heart, you're a wonderful dancer..." He pulled it away and grinned. "Great for gifts or to treat yourself." SPOILER!!: casuallygrouping certain peeps together. didn't quote all but... y'know who you are yes? Yes. Yes, Plymouth was right. This dude SHOULD buy the girl a flower or two. It worked. He'd be in. He grinned and waggled his brows at the boy in encouragement. Do it. Flower. Flowers definitely equaled kisses. Plymouth and James made EXCELLENT wingmen, they did. Taking their advice, their solid Ravenclaw advice, could only benefit this kid in his wooing game. The rest just depended on if he had the right stuff or not. Not everyone did. He'd leave it up to Plymouth, but he did offer another grin for the redhead girl. Always had a soft spot for those himself, and really it meant she practically deserved flowers. SPOILER!!: the calm before the STORM SISTERS Well stranger things had happened than having his name called out in Diagon Alley, even when he recognized Cassie's sister he would still stand by that statement. Even when he saw Cassie immediately after Chelsea he still stood by that statement. .... ....... It was going on a year. He wasn't going to cause any drama. "Chels, hi. Surely you'd be interested in some flowers?" He smiled at her. He'd not given her any for free for the longest time so obviously she missed them. Not that he'd give them for free now, but she could buy. She could afford it. As for Cassie? Well. He just shrugged and carefully put that side of himself away. Mental lock and key. He was working, he didn't need to get all... strung out. |
I can't quote this NOTHING Chelsea said registered. Not after that horrific selfish thing she did just now. Of course Cassie thought about just running away and finding a corner somewhere in Diagon Alley to disappear in but how weird would that be. Oh Meeeeeeeeeeerliiiiiiiiiin Chelsea was so dead. She'd sit on her, she would or maybe she'd package her and ship her somewhere deserted. If her heart survived the moment she'd think of more horrific things to do to her but right now she'd have to play it cool. "Yeah Chelsea? I'm going to curry your brains for supper." She sighed and turned around and pretended she hadn't heard James and pretended the interaction between him and her sister happened a mile away. Because what the hell would she say to him after a whole year? And why would he respond to anything she said? She sighed and turned back to the fur. "Please how much is the fur?" She asked again desperately this time as she just wanted to go..far far away. |
SPOILER!!: La dee dah dee dah Her sister was being ridiculous, turning her back to them, looking like she was set to run a marathon in the opposite direction. Shame, and to think just minutes ago she was acting like a human being. Chelsea ignored her strange behaviour, instead choosing to smile over at Jim. Personally, she preferred the free kind of flowers but this was a festival which, word had it, was also gonna help Hogwarts so, nothing free today. "I'd love some to take home with me, what would you recommend. I need something to make my room pop." Of late, it seemed to be missing something but she couldn't quite figure what. Maybe a plant? "I think Cassie will need some too. If I remember correctly she likes them, don't you Cassie?" Because this was a normal conversation...for her anyway. And with a heavy sigh Chelsea turned to her sister who was once again inquiring about the coat. "The man is busy, talk to Jim while you be patient and wait your turn." Anyway. "How have you been?" Asking the one she hadn't seen in what felt like forever. |
pfffffft Bunz is totally interested in potions. She's just MOAR interested in fur. ;) Quote:
One MILLION galleons! She looked rich! Oui! Now she HAD to have this coat! "He is very lucky indeeed," the redhead purred as she fluffed her hair and looked around for a reflective surface. "You wouldn't happen to have a mirror on you now, would you?" She totally wanted to see how good she looked before she bought it. And speaking of.... Annie clucked and held out her hand. "Mirror first, Monsieur." |
Quote:
"Ooooooooooooh. FLOWERS." Cat wanted to go that way. She looooooooved flowers. |
Uhm.......... Uhm. Lots was going on and stuff, but even Plymouth "Oblivious" Morgan couldn't miss EX-GIRLFRIEND ALERT. Jim seemed fine though. Better than fine, even. He cast a glance Jim's way, attempting to catch his eye. Good? All good? Plymouth would run interference if needed, but Jim seemed alright. Leaving Plymouth to hear... Quote:
"FLOWERS!" he echoed. YES! YAY! "Hehe! I know a pretty girl like you needs a flower today." HE KNEW IT. He could see it on her. Problem was, how was Plymouth supposed to actually charge girls money for flowers? She'd have to go to Jim for that part. Or they'd be broke and all the girls would have free flowers. |
Text Cut: quotes Why were they the only ones at Grayson’s booth? Yes, that man with the funny accent was amusing (a little odd, but still amusing) and those coats were radical. Then there was that flower booth, which did catch Demarcus’ interest a bit since he was co-owner of Darling Buds alongside Cedric Leone. Plants were really cool in his book. Nevertheless, he was here to support his wife. He gave her a happy smile and hoped that more people would stop by. If need be, he would take a potion or two just so show everyone how FUN they were and that they should BUY them. An Ageing Potion might make a good laugh. He always wanted to know what having a beard felt like. But the beard would have to wait. The woman next to him was talking, more so to Grayson than him it seemed. Did that stop him from joining in on the conversation? Nope! “Yep. This is Delilah,” Demarcus said proudly, giving the little one a little smooch. He was almost tempted to present her like Simba. But he decided against it and would save that for another day. “And I’m Demarcus, by the way.” Just in case she didn’t know. A little squeal came out of her mouth when Mummy asked her if she wanted to help. Of course! She was cute and everyone loved her, after all! “Pwotion! Pwotion! Pwotion!” she exclaimed with a smile, not quite repeating the word right. She clapped her hands together as if she were cheering. Delilah then looked over at the boy and kept on clapping. He was going to join her, right? Clapping was fun! She bounced a little in her Daddy’s arms and giggled some more. “Pwotion! Hehehe!” |
Text Cut: le bunz Ohhhh, such sad. The beautiful woman was taken by another man. Le sigh. Ah, yes, a mirror. "Right 'ere, madame," Pierre said, guiding her to the other side of the booth (hold up, was there a rocket ship flying around??) where there was a full length mirror so she could check herself out. "Mhm. You look fabulous!" Now. Give ze man ze monies! Text Cut: le cassie Oh dear, Pierre was so distracted by the flaming redhead that he hadn't even noticed the younger woman at his booth. "My sincerest apologies, mademoiselle!" he exclaimed, hopping back in place. "Ze white one is twenty two galleons, my darling. One of my favorites!" Holding up the fur, Pierre gave the pretty girl a look. "Would you like to try it on? I do think it would look fabulous with your skin tone." |
Also, mention of Tegz/Jim <3 Text Cut: ze mentor and ze family :P It was definitely weird knowing that Raven had a kid, especially since Grayson was just finding all of this out and it had made her question if she’d forgotten about the older girl over the years. She hadn’t forgotten her, obviously. She hadn’t forgotten anyone from the short time that she’d been at Hogwarts, and at that point, she’d noticed Jim sending a wave and a smile over towards her, past the people who were filtering into the little area for the vendors. It wasn’t entirely rude to send the same back at him, or at least that was going to be her excuse had Raven or anyone questioned it. She had friends, Demarcus had friends. There wasn’t any reason to ignore them when they noticed her, and it would’ve been even more rude if she had ignored him. She wasn’t leaving to go talk to him or anything. He had customers, and she had her own visitors. It wasn’t exactly safe to leave even the little bottles of potions she had as her current inventory around Delilah unattended, after all, and her little girl’s daddy likely wouldn’t have stopped her from putting them in her mouth. She knew him enough to know that he probably had the idea of demonstrating their legitimacy, and there wasn’t any reason to think he wouldn’t allow Delilah to be an example either. She just had to hope he didn’t try any of the longer-lasting potions. There was the matter of the conversation anyway, and that was keeping her at her own stall. That and the cuteness that was her baby girl making friends too. “I never got banned from Diagon Alley,” she pointed out with a grin. Nobody had ever proven her complicity in the fireworks years ago, and she’d been more focused on her potions and life at home since then. “I wanted to see if anyone was interested in a few little pranks and stuff. Pass on the tradition.” At least, until Delilah was old enough to go to Hogwarts. There wasn’t any reason to think she wouldn’t be a handful like her parents. Which brought another question back, coinciding with Raven’s answer. “Since when did you have a kid?” That wasn’t rude either, not when it was them, and if it was so surprising to find out she had a baby, it had to be just as surprising the other way around. Plus, Demarcus had taken care of introductions, so she could focus on other things like her baby girl. “Yep. Potions. Like the ones mummy makes at home,” she said, grinning as she watched the clapping. “You’re gonna get lots of people to come buy them from Mummy, right?” Aside from Raven’s interest, because she already knew about that. She could almost guess which potions the former Slytherin was interested in. They needed even more people to take notice, and maybe the cuteness could counteract the hyper Frenchman nearby. |
SPOILER!!: stan and his 'wing men' Adelaide couldn't help but blush at Stanley's words. No one besides her parents had ever called her pretty. "Thanks. I like it. It's...different." Like me. "All right. Stan it is then." Even though Stanley has a much nicer ring to it. She bit back a giggle at how the shopkeeper was trying to cover up his squeal at the sight of the animals. It really wouldn't be polite to laugh at him now would it. Adelaide turned away as she heard his suggestion to Stan. She wasn't deaf, but she could play it off that she hadn't heard very well. Addi caught the other shopkeeper giving her a small so she returned it before looking back down at the flowers. The really were pretty... |
James, Chels and Monsieur Pierre and feelings Well she could do this too...this whole I didn't see you either pretend I don't exist and show no emotion thing. Didn't matter if she started it. And as for her sister...... Cassie swung her bag around and accidentally whalloped her upside the head."Oh my bad..sorry Chels." And even sooooo, even if she started it he could have at least looked at her. EVEN THAT! Oh her turn? "It's fine..it's fine." She impatiently waved off his apology. No she was not going to cry here over stupid big head with stupid blue eyes and his stupid grin. Stupid. She flipped her hair in an indignant manner. "Yes it's lovely...yes please I would like to try it on." Hmph.. He could at least wave! It wasn't like she was the stupid liar and player. He had his customers so she'd not say anything and she certainly would not make a scene but still....STILL STUPID FACE LIAR...YOU COULD .."at least say hi." Yes it was loud enough for him to hear and no she was not looking at HIM. She slipped into the coat..."mirror please" |
SPOILER!!: Ze quotes from ze people Aside from the potions stand, there obviously had been other points of interest among the vendors in the festival and Raven knew the chances of her son running off to explore had been practically impossible to tell, that only meant that she had to pay even more attention than usual since running in these heels definitely wasn’t happening. Unless it was absolutely necessary. Hopefully Braeden wouldn’t have started to squirm around because that was an automatic sign that the almost two year old had been looking to escape from his mommy and explore what was going on, it was the same thing at home although the only difference then was the fact that they weren’t outside and she hadn’t bothered with shoes, well except for slippers but that technically hadn’t counted. Apparently it seemed like he was far too interested in looking at the little girl that was in the man’s arms which was alright, if there was a distraction available then it only made it all that much easier to her. Before any of the conversations continued, he had started speaking which made her pay attention because she wasn’t about to be rude whatsoever; no need for it since there was a difference between slight arrogance and thinking you were above people altogether. “Well, she certainly looks like a little sweetheart. I think Braeden’s taken a liking to her too, but he’s pretty good with meeting new people.” she said, only allowing a smile to find its way onto her face as she had taken a pause to allow the man to continue speaking. “Demarcus, I think I remember that name from somewhere but can’t remember where. Anyway, it’s nice to meet you even if we have before; I’m Raven.” Weird introductions though at least it hadn’t ended with her accent making her words even further difficult to understand than usual. While his Mommy was talking to the older people, Braeden only saw the little girl who was very happy about what was on the table; the pwotions as it seemed but he only knew that there were things like that back at home since he’d seen the little bottles of stuff locked away in a cupboard that he hadn’t been allowed to touch. “Mommy! Pups!” he said frantically, trying to get attention back to him since no one was paying attention. If that wasn’t going to change then he was going to find a way out of his Mommy’s arms and go wandering, though he still knew that would have made her sad and it wasn’t nice to make people sad. Instead, he only started making weird faces; knowing that soon enough the older people would actually stop talking and look at him. Nothing wrong with trying to make sure that there was at least someone watching him. It was still a bit of a shocker to know that Grayson had a child as well, then again perhaps it was a good thing to have kids to carry on with troublemaking and making Hogwarts more of an interesting place than it had been already but before she had the chance to say anything, she noticed Braeden somewhat being squirmy and looking at the bottles of potions that were on the table. Grabbing a sippy cup from her purse, she handed it to him which was easily accepted. Now that would have kept him busy while she was busy continuing having a conversation with her old little protégée. “Well I’m certainly sure that there will be people interested. Unless the school has changed since I graduated, though I sincerely doubt that there are no longer troublemakers.” That would have been a bit of a surprise actually, more than the news that she actually had a child herself. If anyone were to know that Raven Athlon had a child; obviously they’d believe the story was far from the truth but she could have proved that differently. “For about almost two years, Braeden turns two in August. I also have a daughter, her name's Rayna who's a little over a year old but she's off with my boyfriend today. It’s still taking me time to get used to but honestly being a mother isn’t as bad as I thought.” she replied, knowing that comment wasn’t meant to be rude as she had asked the same question earlier. It was definitely crazy to believe her son was already turning two years old, still quite the amount of years until he would have received his letter to go to Hogwarts, then her daughter would have received the same letter a year later but that really wasn’t anything she wanted to consider. Only would have made her feel old and that was not a good feeling whatsoever. |
OHMYGODWHATWASHAPPENING!?!? Stan blushed BRIGHT red. And he never blushed. Like, never ever. But he was so embarrassed. And the fact that he was blushing made him feel even more awkward. Seriously, he should have just gone home. The fifteen year old glared at the guy but he just ended up feeling even more awkward when he noticed the OTHER guy waggle his brows at him. He eyed his lovely lady friend for a moment who seemed to pretend like she hadn't heard anything. Sighhh. "So.. um.." Play it cooool, Stan. "Adelaide, do you want some flowers?" Are you happy now, flower-guys? PFF. What? The boy just didn't like flowers, okay? Okay. |
Text Cut: Cassie daaaahling "Very good," Pierre replied as he held up the coat and helped her into it. "Ze mirror is right zis way, my dear," he said, gently guiding her to the full length mirror at the side of the booth. Hopefully the redhead was done looking at herself, yes? Looking at her reflection, Pierre clapped his hands together again. "Marvelous! I was right, wasn't I? You look fantastique, mademoiselle!" Ahem-hem. "Any man would be a fool to let a beauty such as you slip between 'is fingers!" Why, yes, Pierre was an observant man and had quite been paying to the cold war going on between this lovely young woman and the handsome young man at the vendor stand next door. Heheh. So how about that money? |

The.... Plymouth had already NOTED this dude. He was hard to miss, but more importantly he had been serving Plymouth's personal Life Coach - one Anastasia Bunbury. The Bunz. Yeah then Jimmy's Ex-Girlfriend showed up. Plymouth had ex-girlfriends. He didn't particularly want them to show up while he was working. But... he was also pretty sure.... none of his would try and make a scene? Like these two girls were? Plymouth cast a glance Jim's way after Furrrr Dude went all salesman. "Says the man wearing and selling fur in the middle of August." haha right? HOPEFULLY that would be the end of that? Drama was bad for flowers. Made them wilt. And Plymouth needed every knut they could make today. |
SPOILER!!: what a headache So.... essentially... she was blanking him. That was fine by Jim? He was working anyway and it had been hard enough to get over things after all that she'd done to him. Maybe he'd never be completely over such a deep betrayal and injury to his heart but... well, he was an adult, and intended to behave like one. Street Vendors in a streetfest in Diagon Alley was hardly the place to go all high school. Which meant of course he had no trouble talking to Chelsea, even if Cassie was over there being completely frosty and whatnot. That was her problem, not his. "Something to make your room pop?" Well that depended on colours and things really, but they did have a lot of variety when it came down to that. "The mood ring roses might do the trick, Chels. They're touch sensitive and change colour based on your mood." ... something he'd been working on the last time he even saw Cassie. Y'know, before she trampled all over his heart. For the second time. "They're fifteen sickles, four knuts per stem." He glanced toward the fur stall at words from certain people, and then shot Plymouth a look that was definitely confused around the edges. ....wait. Did she mean for HIM to say hi? When she was the one blanking him and freezing him out and abusing her own sister for even talking to him? Was she five years old? He'd seen her. He'd looked at her. She'd entirely turned her back on him. So what was she even on about? ... maybe she was talking to the fur vendor. Maybe. That'd make more sense. She wasn't looking at him after all so.... probably wasn't talking to him at all? He decided that was the best assumption to make. That he'd continue with his job, and well... if she came over to talk to him, he'd be polite and everything, but he wasn't going to go all drama on it. It wasn't worth the heartache. SPOILER!!: Stan and Adi And finally the kid took the hints! It didn't matter if HE wasn't into flowers, they weren't for him... ... or well, they were in a way since flowers earned serious brownie points with the ladies. This would be a good lesson, it would. Jim and Plym, doing their part to educate. |
My apologizes on my response taking so long. Quote:
As soon as the man opened his mouth again, Jepp could feel a blush creep onto his face. He shook his head. "Nope. She's actually more of a mother figure to me. And they're not just for her, but her kids too." Jepp said with a smile. Maybe flowers were a bad choice. |
SPOILER!!: Well then It looked like it would be left to her to be the more civilized of the two. No problem. Her smile was still fixed while she spoke to Jim until she felt something "Accident, right, I'm sure. Aren't you going to ask for flowers too? I don't know what kind you like and you're being difficult." While rubbing the hurt spot she turned to Jim again. "Sorry about that. Those sound lovely! I'd like a whole bouquet of them, you could just arrange them for me." Yes she was aware it was per stem. Did that matter. "And I'll need something simple but pretty as well." As a gift for when she got home. Chelsea heard Cassie mutter something then saw the look on Jim's face. And here she thought they're split had been amicable. Now that she was seeing this, she couldn't help but wonder what had given her that impression in the first place. Her eyes shifted between the two. Would they say anything to each other at all? |
Meh...POTIONS VENDOR! Cassie followed Pierre to the mirror. Yes she looked good, that was her job as a model and besides, she needed to look good so her clients would feel comfortable putting the most important day of their lives in her hand. She turned this way and that to get every possible angle. Now Cassie was a lovely golden honey complexion but that didn't stop her ears from burning bright red at the man's comment. "I..."She slipped out of the coat and shuzzed her hair again."Thank you." She reached into her purse and took out 23 three galleons and dropped into his hand. Jut please..no more social commentating. Her sister was doing enough damage. "No...no I don't need any. I'm trying my hand at planting some on my own." She really didn't want any flowers. Least of all his flowers. So she moved a long to the other stall where the man was selling potions. Really she wasn't sure she wanted anything but it kept her occupied while she waited for Chelsea to finish shopping. Potions...how interesting. |
Quote:
As for simple but pretty... "How about a bunch of Colour-changing Cornflowers? 2 Galleons, 4 Sickles, 5 Knuts. They make a great gift. So 12 Galleons, 4 Sickles, and 5 Knuts." With a discount. .... what was that he heard? Cassie planting her own flowers? ... okay. He finished arranging the roses with a pretty spray of baby's breath, and then held the cornflowers and roses bouquets out for Chelsea. Sigh. Quietly he added, just for her to hear, "And this for your sister." He added a single compliment carnation to the armful of flowers. For reasons. |
SPOILER!!: N'awwww It was hard to not notice the fact that her sister was trying on the coat she'd promised her only a minute ago. The man may have been giving her compliments but Chelsea just shrugged. "Like I said, it'll look better on me." But she wouldn't say too much about it in case she brought up the talk of OWL results again. Her displeasure was soon forgotten. 10 galleons flat? It wasn't free but it was nice to know she still got something down on it and she grinned in appreciation. "Thanks! I'll have them right by my window! Might take them back to Beauxbaton and use them when I need a muse." There wasn't always that needed inspiration to help her get a painting done. "And another discount, this must be my lucky day." Or it could have been if she'd never been whacked in the head. Chelsea took them both, the whole time absentmindedly watching her sister who'd gone on to looking at potions? She never figured her for the type. Jim caught her attention again with his mention that there was something for Cassie. A carnation. "She'll love it if she's not too busy being a prude." Eyes on Cassie again. No way she was planting her own flowers. |
Epic Retreat Nothing..there was nothing really here that she wanted but she at least read most of the labels on the potions bottles and could tell anyone who asked what exactly the potions vendor was selling. She certainly wasn't going to just buy potions of the street though. In any case, Cassie left two galleons on the stand. Donations went to Hogwarts right? She assumed as much. A quick glance in Chelsea's direction cued her on the fact that her sister was almost done. She could move on then right? If she walked slowly the young Storm could catch up with her and then they could hunt down Brynn and Jessa and maybe try the Ferris wheel. She motioned to her indicating the direction she'd be walking off in. |
Flowers! Flowers meant Jims, right? Lucienne Bones skirted a potions stall and a mound of fur coats (note to self, come back and read the furry guy the riot act later, mmk?) before finally following her nose to the mountain of flowers and a very solemn-yet-extremely-handsome James Wilkes. She stepped carefully up on the curb to admire a few of the flowers, taking a stream of water to one eye when she ventured too close to the daisies. Lucie laughed and headed to find Jim. "Hello, Jamie. Give us a kiss, won't you?" She presented her face for kissing with a cheeky look, followed up with, "Is your partner here? I want to steal you for a while. You know how I hate shopping alone." Not that she believed for a moment that he would abandon his flowers, but since he looked so completely serious at the moment... And where was that partner of his with the big charming smile? |
Quote:
But they were long forgotten when Pierre laid his eyes on the money she dropped in his hands. "Thank you, my lovely! Zis is very much appreciated!" he exclaimed waving an arm as she walked away with the coat. T'was a good daaaaay. |
Pepper felt like twirling, except for reasons beyond her control, she could not do that. Her baby bump wasn't that huge or anything, but it could probably knock someone over with enough force behind it, and twirling was a serious thing, lots of force. Pep didn't want to knock people over with her belly, or worse, hit a little kid in the head. She was very seriously considering the ramifications of this action as she was drawn to the flowers. Hello, pretty things! |
UGH. Where had that little brat gone?? She'd kill him. Or she would have, if that weren't illegal, but hey, stealing people's things was illegal too. At the very least, she'd be giving that boy a strong talking to, a good ear-yanking, and she'd be demanding to speak to his parents. AND SHE WASN'T EVEN GOING TO MENTION WHAT SHE'D DO IF HE HARMED HER NECKLACE. Oh no, the repercussions for that would be incredibly severe. Not to mention the several hundred galleons his parents would owe her. Giving a sigh in anguish, Ariel looked around. Where was she? In all her frustration running after the little thief, she hadn't noticed where she was going. Though she appeared to be in the middle of some sort of market. Hmph... maybe she'd look around, just for a minute. Quote:
Ariel wrinkled her nose. That hair and that coat looked very familiar. Had she seen this man before? If he was French, it was entirely possible. After all, France was not that large of a country. She wanted a closer look "Good day, monsieur!" the girl said with a grin and a wave. |
Quote:
Hearing a less-French-but-still-French accent call out, Pierre perked up and saw a young woman waving at him and he immediately lit up. "A good day indeed, mademoiselle!" he replied with a wave and a grin. "Can I interest you in something here? I say, a fine fur scarf would look magnifique framing such a lovely face like zat!" And with that, Pierre tossed a soft, furry, shiny scarf around the girl's neck. |
Quote:
As he tossed the scarf around her neck, her hands flew up to hold it in place. She flipped it around itself so that it was secured tightly, and DEAR GOODNESS THIS THING WAS SOFT. :whaa: Ariel marveled at it, stroking the faux fur. She'd never been much of one for scarves, but she may need to make an exception, just this once. "Do you 'ave a mirror?" she asked the man. This one might be coming home with her if she liked it well enough. That is, unless he had something else to show her. "Say, 'ave I met you before? You look very familiar... and I would not forget such a face as yours." Ariel inquired. Hmm, she still couldn't quite shake that feeling. Though maybe he was just another friendly face. |
She had already decided to check everything up and get a closer look at all the sections of this festival. True to her word, the fifteen-year old marched to the next random place. Festival Vendors. This looked like a crowded place. Cassia walked slowly looking around, reading signs. Good thing she still had money with her, those potions were interesting. And fur...Eeeh.. She might take a close look but she wasn't likely to buy fur....In Summer. Not that it didn't look nice and all. Then their were....plants. Or flowers? Still same. Those smelled and ate people. She didn't want to be eaten. Or more importantly start sneezing non-stop in the middle of a festival event. Surprisingly some people would be irritated by it. Perhaps breathing through her mouth for now would be better. Because she was curious and she wanted to get a LOOK on everything. As long as she stayed alive. Tucking a strand of hair behind her hair, Cassia looked from group of people to another deciding where to start first. |
Quote:
Adi couldn't help laughing as he ran after the plane. He didn't care if anyone thought he was crazy or anything. He just wanted to have fun! And it was because of this fun that made him not look where he was going until it was too late. BANG! Adi crashed into someone. "Ouch! My hand!'' Looking around, he saw he had collided with a girl. "I'm so sorry!'' he told her apologetically, and scanning over head. There were planes everywhere so it was impossible to know which one he had been chasing. |
Text Cut: Florists (Plymouth & Jim) Cliodna was torn between laughing at the man's reaction or spill out another dozen apologies or more for freaking him out AND disturbing his plants, but the other one seemed to be pretty relaxed and accustomed to those pets. He received a gentle shy smile from her, "Yes, they're mine. Coney and Roney. Yes, I want to--" She paused when the carnations was at her cheek whispering, instantly her cheeks turning a deep shade of pink. "Aw! I love them. Can I get four more?" For her mom, her aunt, her grandmother and her sister (even if this one was more likely to experiment on it than actually hear it). "I would like a bouquet of Humming Hyacinths, too, please? My gran likes music and I haven't given her anything special in a long time." Her sugar gliders were still running along the stall, the pygmy puffs in the big cage squeaking and rolling or waddling against each other. The sign where it said that some of the money would go to Hogwarts caught Cleo's eye then, she stared at it |

ANYWAY. GRINNING. For woman that sold Ola's designs. Yes. That was her. Quote:
The Ex-Girls. They were flocking to the flowers. Pepper was alright though, no hard feelings? HURT feelings, but not hard ones. A million years ago. "Hi Pepper." Quote:
NOPE. Big old.......NOPE. This is why partners were important. Jim didn't seem to mind the ladies with beasts growing out of their hair. Personally, Plymouth would have chosen to sell flowers to Voldemort. SHUDDER. Nope. |

"Plymouth." She offered the man a brilliant sort of smile. "I didn't know you were here." Not complaining, more like happy to see him and all, and hoping that he didn't hate her or anything. That had been years ago, surely they could be some sort of friendly, yes? |

Plymouth's eyes kept dipping down to The Bump. The Belly. The Roundy Moundy Tummy Tum. Normally, Plymouth was one of those people that invaded personally space and thought about it later. Or not at all. But....... he didn't touch Pepper. Just looked. "Just for the festival. Jimmy and I are trying out our luck," Plymouth gave a little wave towards the stand she no doubt hadn't missed. And speaking of not missing things, he gave a little nod to the TUMMY. If she'd just gotten fat, she was the cutest fat person he'd ever seen. |
FLOWERS HAIII *throws Jake at you* Right, if Jake was going to be going to pick up his sister, he would need to be picking something up for his mother. It had been a while since he'd seen her, so maybe it was a good idea. He was already AT Diagon Alley and he was aware of a festival and was, you know, looking around. Jake wasn't expecting to come across anything suitable to get; he had in fact thought about getting some flowers from a muggle shop BUT Apparently that wasn't necessarily. There were flowers here. Jake could tell because he could SENSE the pollen. It made his nose tickle. Plus he could see them. That was also a giveaway. Stepping up to the flowers, Jake glanced at the vendors manning this particular stall for a brief send before staaaaaring at the flowers. It didn't even strike him that he might have known the vendors. Why would it? He wasn't good at faces. Hmmmmmmmm... now what to get? The roses looked pretty neat, but was that a mum-present? Jake considered maybe asking one of the guys, but the prospect of doing that was slightly overwhelming, so he just kept looking at the flowers, hoping that he would suddenly know what to do. Hoping. Still hoping. Starestare. Looking atchu, roses. |

Pep patted the bump, "S'a girl. I just found out today." Yep. She glanced back at the flowers and nodded, "I was thinking about getting some for her room, to make it look extra pretty while we decorate it." |
Jimmy is getting Jake! Since I'm hogging everyone as is. Quote:
He'd just think about it so intently that there'd be this prolonged, awkward silence with a solid mix of staring at said bump. Plymouth wanted one of those. .....Not on him, of course, but.... he wanted one. That he could touch. And a girl too.... Merlin. ... Awkward silence awkward yet? .... "Cel's Hyacinths for you, I think," to hum along with Pepper. "You can teach them a lullaby," he smiled for her, albeit a bit distant. He plucked a bunch of PINK Hyacinths and spent a moment or two quietly arranging them. |

He then took a small step back to get a good look at her. "Well, it is indeed possible! I 'ave small shops all over France zat I frequent. It would be no surprise if we 'ave crossed paths before." She didn't particularily look familiar... or did she? Now he was thinking too hard about it and couldn't tell! |
SPOILER!!: stan and the 'wing' men Stan's blush didn't go unnoticed by Adelaide. Noticing his blush just made her blush more. Oh god. He just asked me if I wanted flowers. Of course she wanted flowers. But she couldn't bring herself to say that. She blushed deeper and avoided looking at Stan for a moment, by looking up at the flower guys. They looked very pleased with themselves...and the one really sucked at giving subtle hints. Still it managed to make Addi grin every so slightly. Face flushed red, Addi looked back up at Stan. "I do...but you don't have to get any for me if you don't want to." |

Deciding to get a closer look at the potions part, she slid her bag's strip up her shoulder and started walking slowly. She was in no rush and the more slowly she walked the more she got to watch around. But that made her to fixated on the vendors that she didn't notice the people around her. Cassia tore her attention from the vendors and looked around her upon bumping into someone who apparently hurt his hand. She was alright, though, it wasn't that hard. Looking at the boy she figured that she was ok because the boy was young, it would have been a different story had the boy been older. "It's okay," She told the apologizing kid as she rubbed on her side. It didn't hurt much. "Are you okay?" She asked. "What were you running for?" Or from. |

The girl blushed as he complimented her, putting on a grin nevertheless. "Eet is beautiful!" she said with a nod. " 'ow much?" Ariel put a hand to her mouth, scrunching her nose up in thought. "Yes, zat must be it," she determined with a wave of her hand. "I must 'ave seen you around with my father or mother before. They both like furs rather well." Though her mother liked them more than her father. Her father was a very distinguished man; he couldn't go walking around covered in furs all the time, he'd look ridiculous. Besides, modesty was better received by the public eye. Ariel was sure he owned a fur scarf or something, but the coats were all her mother's. But surely this man had a shop in Paris, of all places. She knew that city like the back of her hand; she was bound to have come across him at least once. |
Well.. okay. ... So. Now, what? Stan didn't know anything about flowers and he had NO idea what to get her. He considered asking her to pick the flowers that she wanted and that he'd pay for them.. but that would be kind of weird and rude. SOMEBODY HELP HIM, PLEASE? The boy finally smiled at Adelaide and nodded. "Of course, I want to." If only he knew what. He turned towards the flower-dudes 'cause surely they could help him out. "So.. what do you guys suggest I get for her?" |

Looking at the girl properly now, Adi saw it was an older girl. "Did I hurt you?'' he asked, concernedly. Why did he always chase flying stuff? It was Scribbulus's all over again, except he nor the girl was covered in ink. He grinned when the girl said it was okay. She was cool! "I'm alright. I was just running after one of those planes.'' The boy pointed up to indicate the zooming planes. "I wonder which vendor is selling them,'' he muttered. Shaking his head, he drew his attention back to the girl. "I'm Aditya Rehman, by the way.'' |
Plymouth we will grab you soon. Or next? Or nowwww? Now. NOW. Now is good. Quote:
"Of course I look fabulous," she replied proudly, giving her hair another effortless toss. "How much is it?" She looked over toward the Frenchie and then spotted someone just behind him, at the florists' table. "Plymouth! Plymouth darling," he hadn't said he was going to be here today! "What do you think? Of the coat?" Did he like it? Did it matter? |

And... he had nothing he could say in response to that Cassie comment. Either she'd like it or she wouldn't, he wasn't going to lose sleep over it anymore. "Enjoy the rest of the festival, Chels." Quote:

...... .....? "Jake Upstead." He was sure of it. Jim squinted a little and then nodded once. Yes. He smiled politely enough. "You after some flowers for someone special? The roses are pretty great, they change colour based on mood." SPOILER!!: Addi and Stan Yes. Of COURSE he wanted to. Jim found himself nodding in encouragement, though a lot more subtly than Plymouth of course. "Hmmm well, the Compliment Carnations always go down a treat. Try one out if you like. Or perhaps the Colour-Changing Cornflowers." He gestured at the flowers and then at the inventory board with all the prices and descriptions of what each flower did. Mhmm. He could go ahead and pick one out for the pretty girl. |

That was definitely his name. Jake looked up from his staring match with the flowers when he heard it. The voice was somewhat familiar, but he couldn't place it. Seeing the speaker's face wasn't much help either, though Jake thought maybe it had something to do with... Runes? Maybe. "Yes." He glanced at the guys face, actually paying attention to him, when it clicked. OH. "Jimmy, right? Jim? ... James?" It was one of those. Jake remembered him, yeah. From Quidditch and stuff. He gave a little smile back, too. Because that was what you were supposed to do. Flowers, right... yeah. "Oh, uh... yeah. I was thinking about picking up some flowers for my mum. The roses look nice. Are roses mum-flowers?" Were there even rules for this kind of thing? He knew there were guidelines for certain colours but... these changed colours and everything got confusing. |
SPOILER!!: stan & jim Adelaide was blushing like mad now. No boy had ever paid any mind to her...let alone offer to buy her flowers! She really didn't care that Stan kinda had been pushed into it by the flower guys, but she was going to let it slide. Along with the asking for suggestions from them. Addi listened in as the flower guy started to suggest things. Her eyes wandered over to the ones he was mentioning. The color changing cornflowers sounded amazing and were gorgeous, but there was no way she'd feel okay with Stan paying that much. So she stared at the carnations a little longer. Dropping that subtle little hint that those were okay. |

Oh no big deal, just Plymouth's life coach. Asking him the hard questions. Like what he thought of dead animals as clothing. "Errm.... well..... Professor B.... uhhmm," .....hehe..... nervous giggles were nervous...Plymouth reached up and ruffled the back of his own hair. "I'd hate for you to get fleas, if I'm being honest." And he was. He would hate that for her. Professor B had so much to take care of, like a whole school and a little boy and occasionally Plymouth himself, that a case of fleas would just be too much. "Plants make better clothes. Something soft and cottony." SINCE she was asking his opinion and all. Quote:
HEHE! HEHE Hey, Jimmy... look. Pink cheeks. HEHEHE Plymouth plucked a pink carnation and held it over to STAN the MAN. "To match her cheeks, I think." You know, TAKE THE CARNATION. PUT IT TO HER CHEEK. Let it sweet talk her. Do it, Stan the Man. |

Not even pretty hand outs that wouldn't really cost Jimmy anything to give away. But she wasn't expecting it or anything. "I'm going to place my order with Plymouth, since he hasn't insulted me today." Lucie swung around to approach Plymouth from the other side, giving him a wave back. "I want a bouquet for my shop. Something that won't sass the customers, if you please." |
