Nath stared back....a grin left upon his face, as their eyes locked in an epic duel of fates. Kinda.

After what seemed like minutes she broke contact and grinned. He was puzzled.

"What is it?"

"I know something you don't" she said... or rather sang quite childishly, having younger sisters definitely played on what was left of her sanity and on what maturity she did have.

Her grin turned into a... more wicked type of grin, with a smug air around it... now her cheeks were hurting!

Nath was taken slightly aback. What was going on?

He put his hands on her slender shoulders and looked quizzically towards her.

"Well then, what is the thing that you know that I don't know?"

She felt his hands on her shoulders and laughed at his question.

"Why should I tell you?" she laughed again, it was fun playing with peoples minds. She looked up into his eyes and bit her lip slightly, pretending to be innocent... well, its possible to have fun in any situation!

.....Why was she being this difficult? It must be not very important, if she wasn't going to tell him....very strange.

"Well....I don't really know....is it important?"

A playing question to be sure.

"Depends on your point of view... but probably not... though if you really must know... you are probably one of the people who I can blush really easily!" yup... she had seen the pink tinge on his cheeks, and sure she had also blushed in front of him... but that was different...

"So... what do you want to do now?" she had a feeling that he was now questioning her sanity!

Now that the veils were safe in the box, Ryan turned to have a proper look at the woman. She was beautiful and...well beautiful as he could remember but what was with the feeling that something was different with her? It was not her hair as she stated but the man still thinking that something was different with her and he was unable to see the reason.

That was weird. And not good for a man who was so good at observing. Maybe he was losing his skills as he got older. He was not that young, cunning Auror anymore, after all. However this did not mean he could not act like a young man. So, a half smile appeared on the man when she spoke again.

''You must have been very busy then since i have not seen you around lately. And i also have been busy with...stuff'' with various things however he was not going to explain them unless she happened to ask. ''Hopefully i have been fine and you are right. If you can have any time off from playing with magical creatures, we can absolutely meet up anytime you wish.''

Then he smiled again, carefully checked by observing if she had any pockets. Hehe. *shifty*

Jackson Snape stood at the Fountain of Magical Brethren and thought silently to himself. "Please let my application be good enough. Please let me be hired. He gazed at the shower of water and smiled.

Jamie quickly strolled into the Atrium, looking left and right for her. Where could she be? Olivia had to be here somewhere. She had instructions to bring Olivia to the office. Brian needed them for something. Witnesses. He had said. For what!? She asked herself. She was new to this....

Jamie was still looking around when she spotted Olivia in the bunch of people gathering around the fountain. It was good that had caught this person then. Half running, half walking she made it to the older women in no time. Panting for breath a little - but she didn't care.

"Olivia, were needed in the office" She said first, trying to get her breath back. "Brian sent me" She added as if it was a secret word or something. She leant forward so no one would hear them, "I think we've caught the person who sent the Howler" She told the women.

Jackson turned and smiled at the young lady who had come up beside him, talking to the older ladies. He smiled at her. "Hello there." He lowered his sunglasses. "I don't want to bother you while you're working, but I would like to get to know you." He smiled.

Olivia didn't have time for that man. He was steadily getting on her nerves, and hexing someone right in front of other people while at work would not be a good look. Taking a deep breath, she smiled at him. "The matter is going to be taken care of by the Head of the department, it's out of my hands now. So excuse me, I have a job to get back to." With another nod, she stalked off back towards the fountain, wand gripped tightly in her hand. She was grateful to see someone drag him away, as she glanced back. Interfering people got on her nerves so much. Just let them get on with what they had to do.

Straightening herself out, Olivia continued to keep an eye out, just in case the man Brian was questioning did infact turn out to be innocent. She doubted it, but you never knew. It was then she caught sight of one of their new recruits, Jamie, half running over towards her. Putting her hands out to steady the woman as she breathed heavily, she nodded as she listened to her words. "Right, good. So he IS a strong suspect then?" she asked, ushering Jamie away from the fountain, and back along the corridor towards the office. "What does Brian need us for?"

Jamie nodded her head, still slightly out of breath. It was time to sort this out once and for all. She still couldn't believe that on her first week she had head dearly with a inverstigation. Brillient.

"He needs us in the Office." She told her division head. She smiled, "The man surrendered - in a way" She added next giving Olivia the low down. They were now at the edge of the fountain, walking briskly away from it. She peeked over her shoulder at the fountain glad it was still whole.

"I've met him before.." She said suddenly turning to look at Olivia, "He came to the employment office were i was stationed. I asked him a few question's, he seemed rather rude. But left soon after" She told her, telling her everything she had told Brian. It couldn't help to fill her in, save Brian minutes.

"We're to Witness something" She said last before walking out towards the office.

"if i cleared of all charges, i give all the galleons i have to the fountain"

A Holiday!

She couldn't wait. It would be so much fun. Then, she thought of Desmond and her momentary excitement lasped. He wasn't going to the same place as her. Well.. He might. Probably not.

Lucy fiddled with a lock of hair and sat at the edge of the fountain, loosing her train of thought. She absentmindly pulled out a knut and tossed it into the fountain. Closing her eyes, she made a wish with all her heart. Pleeeezzzzeeee.

She need someone to talk to...

Desmond walked rather unsteadily in the Area around the fountain, still madly disorientated from the Floo which his sister had pushed him into. He managed to regain his balance and, after mubling about crazy sisters who should be kept in a muggle Zoo, looked around to see if anyone had noticed him stumbling around like an idiot and he grinned when saw a familiar face.

Lucy!

He walked up to her and noticed her eyes were closed, so he stood in front of her and tapped her in the shoulder. "Hi"

Lucy felt something in the pit of her stomach when she heard a soft 'Hi.' She opened her eyelids and blinked at the sudden light. She couldn't exactly see for a second and found herself staring at none other then...

Desmond.

Lucy's eyes widened and she flushed and looked down, then back up at the boy. "Hi...Desmond. How are you?" She asked with a small smile. She quickly looked at her reflection in the sparkling water. Fine...Sorta pale with the shock...Crap! Lucy gulped and tried to look normal. She smiled at sweetly as she could.

"So..How've ye been?" She asked sitting back down and indicating he should sit in the empty spot beside her. "I haven't seen you since we got our hols." She gave him a half of a smile.

Desmond grinned when Lucy seemed to go into shock when she finally recognised him. He supposed it must have been a surprise to see him again. "I'm great thanks" he replied. His grin wavered for a moment when he saw her go pale. "Are you all right? You look kinda pale" he asked concernedly. It wouldn't be good if she fainted at the sight of him, because that would be embarassing to her.

He sat down next to her on the edge of the fountain. "I've been good thanks. How have you been? he replied. He then grinned excitedly. "Yeah I know. I can't wait to go."

"Pale? I'm not pale." She thought of something embarressing and heat crept into her neck and cheeks. She gave him a shy smile and shrugged. "Just got a fright is all." Lucy grinned. And opened up her handbag and routed through and pulled out a pile of parchment and sighed then pulled out a hairpin to keep them together.

"Me neither."

Jamie had gotten lost been wandering around the ministry for about an hour. He had been working here for almost 4 months, but he had never seen this statue thingy before. It was... Wierd.

He stood there, just looking at it, and thinking of home.

Nothing like coming back home after going off on tour for a couple weeks, Amanda felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders until she had seen the muggle newspaper when there had to be a huge story about her and being seen around Clarke, ah bloody hell! This was mainly why she kept herself away from being with guys cause one wrong move caused her to be publicized about for weeks at a time. She rolled her eyes slightly and held the copy of the paper in her hands, once she saw the fountain; it seemed to take her attention away, it was quite calming.

Clarke was on his way back to his level, but on walking through the atrium, his eyes fell on the red hair of Amanda Lesalle at the fountain. He hadn't seen her in a while, not since that first meeting in Diagon Alley. Smirking a little, he walked up behind her because she was facing the opposite direction.

"Hello Amanda, it's been a while."

He saw the paper she was holding, unaware of it's contents. "Looking at something of interest?"

Amanda was so distracted by watching the fountain that she didn't hear anyone else walking around on the level, once she heard a familiar voice; she jumped slightly, trying to avoid landing in the fountain. Turning around, a slight grin appeared on her lips, she really was doing her best to keep calm around Clarke but inside she was totally freaking out.

"Oh I know, I just actually got back from being on a short tour; apparently my manager thought that it was best cause he wanted to dissipate the rumours of my disappearance." Not that she didn't enjoy it, it was definitely one of the best feelings in the world.

Once he asked her about the paper, her expression changed to one of frustration; stupid press! "This is the muggle news that I picked up in London and now it's front story is all about me somehow, it's about our meeting in Diagon Alley." She handed him the paper to read while she tucked her hands into her pockets.

"Oh really?" He asked in an amused voice. "Is there a picture?" Clarke smirked, looking at the article. "That's not bad," he said. Amanda was, apparently, frustrated by the article. Clarke was just enjoying himself, not really caring that much. If people wanted to talk about him he didn't really care, besides, it was funny.

"This might be funny to you, but this makes me look bad; people going around saying yet something else about me that makes people wonder if it's true or not. Does anyone stop to ask me if it's the truth that we're more than casual acquaintances? Of course not, they always assume something and it drives me up the bloody wall!" Amanda turned back around to look at the fountain and crossed her arms over her chest, she was beyond irritated with this. "The best part about this is the whole thing where they write that I like you and who knows if that's true!" Well of course it's true, I'm just too stubborn to come right out and say it!

At this point, Clarke was holding back laughter. Amanda being annoyed at him was funny, and overall it was still amusing. "Who cares if they're assuming things." He shrugged. Sure he wasn't famous, and she had to think about the press to a certain extent, but fans should still like her music. But through her whole sentence, something important occurred to him. "So you're not saying that you definitely don't like me, just that you're not sure?"

Smirk.
