I finally completed my latest project! It is a shawl for me to wear with my 1812 costume. I hope you like it. The yarn is an acrylic/wool/viscose blend from a company called Patons. The yarn is quite beautiful. It was left over from a sweater my mum made me for Christmas one year. I took the basic pattern you would use for making dishcloths and adapted it to make the shawl. Instead of reducing at the midpoint, I simply kept going. The pattern for the border is pearl 2, add 1, then pearl until the end of the row.

That looks awesome! I've made those dishcloths.. they're about the only thing I can knit.

Oooh very nice! Your knitting is so precise and neat, I'm so jealous! lol I hope you post a picture of the whole costume somewhere we could see. I'm quite curious now =D

Here's my newest project: a scarf I made for my best friend Christy for Christmas. It took me only about two days to make it as it was a really simple pattern. Hope you like it!
