He watched as Alexa walked up and couldn't help but notice how she was acting. "I'm afraid minister I already belong to someone." Somehow he managed to snake his arm from the minister's grasp. He took a step toward Alexa and wrapped his arm around her as he kissed her cheek whispering, "Thank you." He turned to look at the minister and felt compelled to point out the obvious to the minister, "This is Alexa my..." he glanced at Alexa as he searched for a word. Girlfriend didn't quite fit because she was much more than that to him but as he hadn't proposed no other word seemed right. He smirked slightly, "Or rather I'm hers." And as far as he was concerned that statement was exact.

"Darlin, we covered this... Ah know! Remembah?" She giggled. "Mah Husband always says Men just flock to you Darlin!" She giggled.

Taylor, Senior Undersecretary to the Minister, and your Mistress of Ceremonies for this evening. I'd like to welcome you all to this year's International Wizarding Conference. We're very pleased and proud to be hosting such an amazing event and we hope that we can all work together to make great strides on behalf of the global wizarding community. But before we get to business, there is always a bit of time for enjoyment! The festivities are going to begin momentarily, so if you could each find a seat, maybe grab a plate of food to bring with you to your chair, and enjoy yourselves, we'll be beginning shortly. Visiting Ministers of Magic, please join me on stage. Thank you."

Removing the wand from her throat, Reagan stepped away from the podium and took her seat behind the Minister's chair. Speaking of the Minister, where on earth was Brennan!?! Her eyes tore through the crowd searching for him, but he was not to be seen. Oh good riddens!

"That woman really shouldn't speak so loud, she sounds layk a mayn..." Abby said shaking her head.

Bhanuprasad Balasubramanium entered the conference room, a small, intricately woven magic carpet hovering behind him.

"I am so sorry for to be late but I was detained for it was time in my religion that I must pray." He said with a humble dip of his head at the group at large. "Where am I to sit, please?" he asked softly, his magical prayer mat choosing to roll itself up in a cozy corner where it was less likely to be stepped on.

Jess entered the room a bit flustered. She was late because she had had to babysit her neice, and she felt horrible about it. She didn't even know if she had to sit in a certain place or not. She looked around hopelessly as she tied her hair back with a scrunchy.

It was nice to see her smiling and Rico planned on keeping her smiling, for he had the impression that the young woman was usually so serious. Such a contrast to him, too. "Oh yes, I think I know who you're talking about," Rico nodded. "I'm very glad we had some people volunteer to decorate - I mean, I'm terrible at that sort of thing." He wasn't afraid to admit it. After all, Rico did excel at other things like....tinkering with Muggle artifacts....

Angelina’s green eyes noticed someone behind Rico’s shoulders smiling friendly at her.
Ah, it was Nathan Greenwood. It seemed that he had seen her.
She smiled, nicely, back at him, making sure she wouldn’t forget to pass by Level Two to talk with him after the conference, before turning her eyes back at Rico, just in time to hear him talking.

Oh, maybe she hadn’t explain herself very well.
“I meant to say, everything inside this room.” she replied, still smiling. “Well, I wouldn’t say you couldn’t.. after all, people say that everything is possible. I would say that is more than just a little bit hard to have a positive opinion about everything.”
Angelina laugh quietly before speaking. “ Its really good to hear that.”

He couldn’t be more glad than her for some the fact that people had volunteer to decorate.
Angelina could do a lot of things well, pretty well to be precise, and decoration was .. not one of those things.
Well, to be perfectly honest.. she had never spend much time thinking about how to decorate something.
She had too many things going on inside her head to waist time decorating.
“Well.. er.. I suppose while some people have a gift(or can be pretty good) for decoration.. others just weren’t born for it..” Angelina replied looking around, then back at Rico.
Well, the area she had decorated wasn’t that bad.. it was pretty good in fact.
Luck.
“But I suppose you, men, have an excuse not to be good at it. Usually, there are women who are in charge of decoration.”

I can't believe this is actually happening! He chuckled to himself softly, feeling like a six year old days before his birthday.

He grabbed a plate and piled everything in sight onto it. He grinned at his overflowing plate, and reached for a fork and knife. He cast a spell quickly to prevent spilling, and tucked into the food. "Would you like to grab a seat? Looks like the entertainment is about to begin!" he said happily as he looked around for an empty spot.

"My surprise?", Samantha asked, not able to reveal anything to anyone yet. "Well, I don't really have anything planned yet, just hoping that something good is going to result from this convention, that's all. I just have this feeling that it will, but it's hard to explain. And you!", shs exclaimed, diverting attention from herself. "It's you I'm truly happy for. I have a feeling nothing but good things are going to come your way from now on."

Samantha smiled and sat down quickly, realizing that the ceremonies were truly starting this time. "The Minister will be speaking soon, then the foreign dignitaries," she whispered. "That's Reagan Taylor, Undersecretary to the Minister. She's a very important person, and is really responsible for putting this whole conference together." Deep admiration and reverence for Ms. Taylor were evident in her voice.

Valeria turned to the man Egypt was talking to. "And this must be the charming man that you married." She held out her creamy hand for him to shake. "Valeria Nikolovna, Minster of Magic for Bulgaria." She told him formally with her official duty smile.

We are so happy to have you." She twirled around with a smile. "You know how the twins do. You should really visit them. They would love to dress you." She told her. Valeria had a wonderful figure, she was a very beautiful woman. "It has been too long. I am sure my mother would love to see you again. You haven't been to Ghana since that Qudditch finals have you?" She asked her.

"Oh forgive me for not introducing you both." She cried. She was a better hostess than that. Her mother would fry her liver for shaming her. Egypt beamed at her. "Yes this is the love of my life. We missed you dearly at the wedding." She told her.

Egypt smiled at her husband. He was always nervous around people that he thought were better than him because of station or money. She would tell him later that Valeria was almost a mail order bride before she got her fist job as a portkey clerk. Valeria was a self made woman who had to overcome a lot of things in her life to get where she was.

"Yes, jsut a year, but I wasn't in control of my own life, so it was more than I could have hoped, I was glad i got to do it for that long." She said with a somewhat sad grin. "I don't think you would be whistling if you knew what I got to do." She frowned as she thought of the veil, and the odd voices she had been hearing coming from it. "Maybe one day I will tell you." she replied teasingly.

"Ah, well, most of my friends come from the different houses," Cris said, nodding his head, and smiling slightly at the memories. He then grinned full on at her as she reacted positively to his idea of early retirement. "Yep. And I plan on collecting everything there is to collect in Quidditch. I already have a few shelves back home ready for them. I don't know what I'm going to collect first, but at least I have options. Not getting into an International Quidditch Team was a dissappointment for me, but I guess watching each and every game there ever was is as close as I can get," he said proudly.

Then it was her turn to tell her story, and Cris looked at her slightly disdainful. "Really?" He was a bit sorry for her since she was not in control of her life and all. "Well, on the bright side, you got a lot of guidance in your life." He could not say the same for himself, of course, since he himself decided to run away from home at an early age. Call him rebellious, but he liked the idea and never regretted it. "And, nah, I won't be waiting for the day you tell me. For all I know, I might be able to get in there, too." Heh. As if.

And they better not have been blatantly ignoring her. It was bad enough her own Minister did that. She didn't need it from the visiting ones too.

Maybe they were both mixing up their words now; what Rico really wanted to say was that he couldn't be in a bad mood around beautiful Angelina....but he couldn't. He couldn't say something like that just yet.

"This is true," he answered her with a smile. Decorating could be considered a talent, surely, something similar to art skills. Rico wasn't bad at art, he just....couldn't decorate. It was something with matching colors and stuff. Ugh.

He chuckled a little at Angelina's statement though. "Do you really believe that?" Rico raised an eyebrow. "I thought those sort of gender assumptions were a thing of the past...otherwise, I mean, I'd ask you if you cooked some of this food. It's delicious." He grinned and took another sip of his chicha morada.

But then, he finally heard the Senior Undersecretary calling all the ministers to the stage...which meant that the ceremony must be starting. "I think we're supposed to go sit down somewhere...." he mentioned casually, hoping that she would sit next to him somewhere...if she didn't have to go sit with the Minister, of course. Because she could just be that important - what did Rico know?

"Y'all need to relax- Woops... Hang on..." she tapped her throat with her wand. "Sorreh, Ah keep forgettin to turn it oaff," she said in a giggle, "Alright Sugah, whaddya need darlin?"

Samantha watched as one of the ambassadors, she thought it was the one from the United States, took the stage, dragging three other ambassadors with her in the process. Her interest picked up, this was going to prove more interesting than she had originally even thought, after all! She couldn't wait to hear from this woman had to say.

Armen looked down at her plate to the bars. "Sure i'll get some then we can find a seat." He smiled motioning to a table nearby.

" She said, smiling again. She looked away and saw that Samantha had arrived, and she looked back at Lucy. " I wonder how many more of us will be here." She said, meaning their department.

Lucy nodded.
"Probably the whole department. It makes sense. I believe everybody in the Ministry is here." she said, looking around. What she didn't want to admit was that she was also looking for Jake.
She decided she'd judge him better in of she known somebody else's opinion.
"So, what do you think about Jake?" she asked, trying to make it sound casual.

Jose walked up to the stage as requested. This was the price to be paid for the office he held. So much unpleasant fuss.

Looking in the same direction as Teal, Rowan noticed that the voice was issuing out of a rather stout looking woman that was surrounded by people. She made a mental note to introduce herself, she had a feeling the woman was one of the Ministers. Sometimes her gifts weren't all bad.

She listened as Teal continued talking. "Yeah, I am too. And no I'm not nervous. I think its rather fun that all of us have the chance to get together like this. Meeting new people is always interesting."

Rowan fell silent just as another man came up and started talking to Teal. Teal introduced him and Rowan. She immediately could tell the man was different. She almost wanted to find out how different but that could get her into trouble. Rowan confidently extended her hand toward Vlad and said, "Good evening. I haven't met a whole lot of people from our division, so it's nice to make your aquaintance."

Teal then made an offer for drinks. Grinning she said, "A drink sounds good." Rowan followed Teal toward the beverages. She glanced briefly over her shoulder at Vlad to see if he would follow.

Teal nodded as Rowan said she liked meeting new people, it really was pretty interesting especially if that person was from a foreign country. “Indeed.” Teal mused, and watched as her and Vlad acquainted themselves.

As they did so, Teal looked to that crate and decided that it would be a nice touch. He swiftly took out his wand, pointed it at the box, and with a soft pop it cracked open. The shiny, little fairies tore from the box and quickly dispersed high in the tops of the room, shedding light and hopefully, happiness.

Grinning as Rowan thought a drink was a good idea as well, he made his way to the beverage and food table. He wasn’t hungry at all, so Teal merely picked up a goblet and filled it full with firewhisky. Taking a tender sip, Teal’s satisfaction was finally reached as the burning, yet pleasant, feeling ran through his veins.

Reagan had made her way to the stage, and requested that everyone find a seat. Teal sighed slightly and turned to Rowan and Vlad, “I guess we better.” He said with a wry grin and headed over to a row of vacant seats, settling in. He craned his neck, in pursuit of Lorraine, but he still couldn’t see her. Teal took a hefty sip from his firewhisky and pressed his lips together tightly as he withdrew his cup. “Where is Brennan?” Teal asked slightly rhetorically, but to Rowan. The Minister should have been here before all of them.

James stepped quietly into the conference room, seeing the meeting was about to start. A Ministry witch asked for the Ministers to take the stage.
He looked around and saw Piper.

He made his way silently over and took a seat, nodding his head in a nonverbal "hello". James turned his attention to the stage and watched, not knowing what to expect.

Jake listened to what she said, nodding. He blushed a bit and added to her words, "Thanks. If it wasn't for you, it wouldn't have ever happened!" And this was indeed the exact truth. He would always and forever be grateful for what she did. Always.
He plopped down next to her and looked up at the stage where Samantha was pointing. He saw a woman there, and according to Samantha, she was the undersecretary to the Minister. Wow, talk about being important! Even Samantha admires her, he thought as he caught the tone of her voice. "I take off my hat for her then. She really did an excellent job with this conference." he said, still looking at the woman. And she's so young, too!

As if.

Andrina smiled at Cris's words and she nodded. "Collecting things? Like what? Famous artifacts? Like the snitch Harry Potter first caught?" She asked, knowing that artifact was world famous. "That would be disappointing, but I think you are right, watching ever game does count." She said with a soft smile.

"Yes really, but i guess I can not fault the guidance I have gotten as you said, as well as the job I managed to get." She knew it was a high honor to be an Unspeakable. As well as a big headache, for she couldn't tell anyone what was stressing her out. "Hmmm you never know." She said slightly mysteriously. "It's possible." She grinned. "Just don't commit a crime and end up in my department." She said with a soft smile.
