Department of Magical Education Conference Room Down the hall from the Department Head's office and next to the entrance to the Department of Magical Education, there is a wooden door with a large sign that states clearly "Conference Room". This is the place where all the Department meetings are held. It is a large, spacious room, with many pictures on the walls depicting schools from all over the world. The wall colours are beige and the floors are made of gray, clean carpet. In the middle of the room there is a long, light wood table with many chairs on either side of it. The chair furthest away from the door is the Department Head's chair, and the closest one is the Division Head's. Small tables with refreshments and writing supplies are situated within reach of the chairs and the breakroom with the toilets is quite conveniently is just across the hall. OOC: The meeting will start in about And by the way, the door is currently OPEN! =) Peeps, the conference is over ^_^ |
J.J. Starr knocked on the door for the meeting. " I am here Mr. Rider" Joe Jon Montcenaggio told him. |
Jake was busy organizing his notes from the Minister's meeting when he heard the knock on the door. He wondered why the people weren't just coming in - after all he had left the door open.. Oh. Jake mentally hit himself on the head and went over to open the door, trying to remember if he had indeed closed the door and someone was playing tricks on him or whether he was going senile in his old age. "Hey, J.J," Jake nodded, and backed away from the doorway so that the man could come in. He was just about to go back towards his seat when he noticed that J.J was in fact over half an hour early. "Erm, are you sure you don't want to go grab yourself a bite to eat? There was a reason I scheduled this for after lunch," he told him, smiling as he glanced over at the now open door |
Maddie rapped on the door nervously. "Erm, Mr. Rider, sir?I've arrived for the meeting." |
" OK Jake, I will grab some lunch" J.J. Starr told him. " Maddie, want to go with me?" Joe Jon Montcenaggio asked her. " I have something to ask you" J.J. Starr said to Maddie. |
Warrick arrived at the conference room. He walked in and saw he wasn't the first person there. JJ, Jake and Maddie were already there. "Hey guys. Jake, I'm here for the meeting. D'ya know when it's going to start?" |
"Sure, but you could ask me now!" Maddie was worried. She hoped she knew the answer! "Oh, and I have no idea when this will start!"She grinned. |
Ok, I will ask you before the meeting" J.J. Starr told Maddie. " I would love for you to be a guest at my wedding with Katalin Trigwell" Joe Jon Montcenaggio said to Maddie. " Now I can't wait for the meeting to start" J.J. Starr told Warrick and Maddie. |
Warrick nodded. "Well, are you guys going to stay here before the meeting or are you going to leave, then come back?" |
" I guess we will eat after the meeting" J.J. Starr told Warrick. " I just wonder what the meeting will be about, it sounds important" Joe Jon Montcenaggio said to Warrick. |

"Sure, why don't we all eat before the meeting?" J J. Starr told Maddie and Warrick. " Maddie, why don't you come to our Italina Villa" Joe Jon Montcenaggio told her. ( Knockturn Alley- Vanishing Cabinet). " Warrick, maybe Maddie can help find Heather at your Spanish Pad" J.J. told Warrick. |
Holding a folded paper in her hand, Gretta stood outside of the conference room door reading the plaque placed on the door and wondering if she'd arrived too early. She comb her hair with her free hand and reached for the door knob with her paper holding hand, still clutching onto it as if it were her wand. With a slight twist, the door swung open easily and she stepped inside seeing her colleagues from another sector of the Education Department already enticed in a conversation. "Good day," she spoke to her fellow employee's and strolled past them towards the table. Not looking back at any of them, she eyed the table carefully noticing the Head of Department chair and also the Division Head seat. "I'll just wait," she told herself and turned back towards the others. Not daring to bother Jake, she stood a few feet away from the group and tucked her slip of paper into her robes. "How's everyone doing today," she asked politely pushing herself into the conversation but not clearly speaking to anyone directly. |
Ava breathed a quiet sigh of relief as she walked into the conference room and found she wasn't the only early arrival. She scanned the room quickly, noting a man sitting in the chair furtherest from the door, whom she presumed was Mr Rider, and then a small congregation of some familiar faces standing a little closer to her. After glancing at her wrist watch, Ava moved silently over to the group. She smiled politely at them, wondering if this was as exiting for the old timers as it was for her. |

Sorry guys, time's a-tickin'! Jake, who had gone back to his seat and resumed his work, found that as hard as he might, he could no longer concentrate. Sighing, he put his work aside and pulled out his notes from the Minister's meeting as well as some ideas of his own that he had assembled and began idly leafing through them. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched the door for newcomers and smiled pleasantly as some of them greeted him. "Right, I'm sorry you guys but I'm afraid it's time to start. Please could all of you take a seat, we will begin in five, or once everyone's here," Jake suddenly stated, having enough of the wait. Sure, he had planned on giving them another ten minutes at best, but he realised how important it was that they get this meeting underway as soon as possible. They'll have breaks later. |
J.J. Starr sat down ready to listen to Jake. |
Maddie sat down, wondering what the man had to say. She fiddled with her wand nervously. |
Ava opened her mouth to answer JJ Starr but shut it quickly once she heard Jake begin to talk. "You'll have to tell me about it after" she said to the former giving an appologetic smile before taking her seat at the table. |
Philip slipped in through the door and sat down, parchment and quill at the ready. He nodded at Jake, a little concious that he was a little late, but nevertheless he was here. He was a little nervous, but he wasn't quite sure why. |
Warrick sat down, and waited for Jake to start. |
Gretta shifted with the room to take a seat next to Jake. She turned her head in his direction and smiled adoringly at him and to hint at why she was smiling she rubbed the circumference of her chair and giggled slightly. Scanning the table, she jotted down the people that were present on time and made a note to send an OWL to the other employees who hadn't thought it necessary to come. Besides her antagonizing smile towards Jake and role taking, she was ready. Ready to fulfill her new position as the Department of Education Division Head and anything else that came along with it. Waiting for the meeting to truly begin, she shifted her papers around attempting to organize them in a perfect pattern. "Note taking," she placed red pad to her right," important documents," she muttered tapping a clipboard and scooting herself an inch closer towards the table. Smiling, she looked up and turned towards Jake. Not in her usual pestering way, but sincere and focused. Play time comes later, she thought to herself and pushed her childish actions in the back of her head. |
J.J. Starr will finish listening to Jake politely. Hr thinks he has done enough here. He really liked working for Samantha. Very good employees hereat the education department. Joe Jon Montcenaggio hopes his transfer of a liason in the Magical Transportation comes in quickly. J.J. Starr heard he can work closely with Samantha Rose and Bella Greingorth. J.J. whispered to Warrick" I am planning on transferring" |
Maddie stopped messing around with her wand, and it dropped to the desk. Red sparks emitted from it, almost setting her papers on fire. She sighed and quickly turned around to face J.J. "You're transferring?!" |
