Nine to Eleven Year Olds, Group B

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...psjjsgvrp1.jpg

In the middle of the pitch, you will find nine to eleven year olds, group B. This group has more experience on brooms. These children will first learn basic chaser skills. Hoops at a lower level have been placed for them to try to throw a quaffle through them. Getting experience throwing the quaffle to teammates as well as through the hoops won’t be the all they learn at this fun filled camp. Each child will take a turn practicing being a keeper and trying to block the quaffle from going in the hoop. The group will also learn basic beater skills, getting to hit a softer ball that has been charmed to act like a bludger at target.

If a child does not bring their own broom, there are youth brooms available for the day supplied by Quality Quidditch Supplies. They have a set speed and height, which is a little faster and higher than training brooms for younger children.

Benton was way too excited. His mom and dad let him come to this super awesome quiddich camp and he just couldn't wait. It was all he talked about for weeks. They were giving him a shirt and he was going to fly with the Professionals! HOW COOL WAS THAT!! Yes Benton Primeaux was really fully of energy and literally bouncing up and down as he made is way like a big kid onto the pitch. His mother off with the parents, he was alone and so super cool!

Broom in hand he looked around. "I can fly, so I'm not in that beginner group, right?" He had gotten the owl saying he wasn't, but he had to make sure. No need to have walked to the wrong section or anything.

He watched all the people around and looked for his cousin. Where was Ross, he was in their group wasn't he? He hoped he was, because then maybe he could get cousin favorites or something. That would be just super cool!

Her brunette hair tied up into a neat ponytail by her mother this morning before she went to work and wearing her navy blue leggings and a comfy top, Ruby Broadmoor arrived at camp with a timid smile. Daddy had dropped them off understanding that there would be adults there to supervise them and that he didn't need to stay. Ruby was sure that it was because he didn't like Quidditch much. He wasn't sporty at all. The little ten-year-old was nervous, other children were loud and judgemental and she found the vast majority of them intimidating. She arrived with her older sister, clinging to her arm tightly as they walked towards the section they’d been assigned. Thank Merlin they were in the same group.

There was another boy there as they arrived. Ruby looked at him cautiously but did not open her mouth to speak to them. Instead she turned to her Blonde haired counterpart. “We’ll stay together today won't we?” Her eyes were wide and worried she didn't fare well in large gatherings like this. In that respect she took after her father. The only other she knew was Cornelius whom she’d seen often at the Famouth Falcon’s practice pitch when Uncle Oliver (more affectionately referred to in the Broadmoor household as Broccoli) would take them down to practice. Cornelius was the son of the ‘big man’ there but he had yet to arrive.

She stopped walking when they got to the arena. Her blue eyes wandered up to take in what they would be flying around. The pitch didn't look too difficult and Ruby was certainly mastered when it came to actually getting herself off the ground. She hadn't chosen her favoured position yet neither, the brunette was willing to give everything a go.

In the hand that was not clinging to her sister was her trusted broom. It had been a present from Uncle Oliver and it was certainly her favourite broom to fly on. Daddy had also made mummy make it safer for her in case things went wrong. Ruby however was certain in her abilities that she could keep everything under control. She was holding onto the broom just as tightly as she was to Tabitha as she waited for further instruction.

Ruby and a wee bit for Benton. <3

Tabitha waved goodbye to her dad excitedly with a giggle. This was going to be SO much fun! Daddy didn't look all that happy when he left, mind you... but that was nothing unusual.

The skinny figure of eleven years old, who was a couple of inches taller than the brunette who was currently clinging to her arm, had her mass of blonde hair in two braids on either side of her head. Mummy said it would end up like a birds nest if she didn't have it tied back out of her face and de-tangling all the knots would be a long and painful process later on. She cooperated without any fuss after that. Although her brother Isaac had taken to pulling at the plaits like bell ropes and shouting 'DING DONG' into the little girl's face. It was funny at first but it became irritating after about the fifteenth time. Tabby was awfully glad the twins weren't here today to cause trouble.

Ruby though, she was Tabby's best friend as well as her sister. Tabby was wearing a pair of light grey leggings, a comfy t-shirt, a Falmouth Falcons Hoodie over the top, and a pair of very cool pink converse high tops. Tabby also felt very cool and grown-up because she was one of the oldest and tallest kids in her group. She smiled at the boy who had already arrived and greeted him with a cheerful “Hello.”

She nodded to her sister. “Of course we will, Ruby. This is going to be so much fun!” She too had her broom which had been a birthday present from her uncle Oliver. The same as Ruby's except Tabby had tied a pretty pink ribbon around the handle of hers.

LOL.

The only complaint Corbin had was that he was in the same group as Saffron. And that he was stuck with BABIES. Actual BABIES: everyone knew that he was far cooler and more mature than anyone else his age so they were all getting major eye rolls for him being in a group with people his own age. In his head, he should be with the fifteen year olds.

The really short, underdeveloped nine year old saw absolutely nothing wrong with this theory.

Swinging his broom over his shoulder and heaving an exasperated sigh, Corb ran a hand through his hair, a trait he could have only picked up from his father, and side eyed his sister. "We're totally not related, okay?"

emjay 04-17-2015 01:59 PM

Henry had been waiting for this day all week! Sure, he had his own broom and totally had flying and Quidditch experience, mostly because his sister was a PRO and he was going to be just as great as her one day. But his dad told him he wasn't supposed to brag about that, so he would only talk about that if it came up. And he was sure that it totally would.

He kind of wished that Esme was going to be teaching their group because of course he would be the favorite and maybe get to demonstrate and stuff for the group. But it was okay that she wasn't because he was sure that someone cool was going to be there. And of course he was right, it was going to be Quidditch people and they were all cool!

After giving his big sister a wave when she dropped him off, Henry ran over to the other kids in his group. "Hi! This is going to be so fun!" They all loved Quidditch, too, right? Well, of course, they had to.. they were here, weren't they? Where they ready to get started? He didn't see any adults yet, but maybe he could ride his broom around a little bit while they waited.

ICKKKKKKKKKLES!

The Harpies' Beater got to shape the young minds of ickles today and influence them for pretty much for the rest of their lives. Selina Skylar builder and shaper of small children. THAT was a thing. Maybe not a good thing but definitely a thing.

Swinging her bat, Mortimer, around Sel watched on as the ickles swarmed.

She was totally going to break them today. Lovingly. And when they crashed and burned they would rise from the ashes like a Phoenix. Character building, really.

Weren't they lucky?

Waaaay ahead of you, sista sista!

Saffron was leaning against her broom, legs crossed and hair plaited courtesy of her father. She did think he was pretty good at it now, given that he'd had almost ten years of experience with her dark locks. So..the best experience. And she'd also seen him do her mothers hair when she wasn't very well or having a sad day. And Mummy didn't let anything bad go near her hair, eep. MUMMY ♥ "Then you need to change your last name, stupid." And she knew he hadn't thought of it.

She also didn't even look at him. No relation, meant no attention. Bye, Poopbin.

Haha. Wow.

"HEY EVERYONE, THIS BOY HAD AN ACCIDENT!!!" In his pants. Did they get that part? Did she have to actually say it?

Saffy giggled, took a few steps away from her twin and wafted her hand in front of her nose. Because EVERYONE knew that poops had a bad smell. SRY NOT SRY.

Magical Soul 04-17-2015 04:19 PM

Genny Tate was ready to fly. With a broom in her hand, the ten-year-old ran out to the pitch. She had little trouble locating where she was assigned because her excitement was clouding her judgement completely. However, after little guidance from older people, she was finally skipping down with the rest of "her group". "Hullo!" Greeting everyone happily, before her eyes caught the Harpies' beater swinging her bat.

Genny's eyes sparkled with utmost admiration and absolute adoration. She squeezed herself between the others to come and stand closest to Skylar. Very close. Maybe if she was lucky enough she'd get to touch her bat. Or get 'a little' hit by it. *.*

GASP. Genny looked at the girl then at the boy. Then down to his pants. Giggling, she couldn't SEE evidence of said accident but she pinched her nose in case the stench was on its way.

FLYING! He was going to FLY! F L Y!!

But why did he have to e separated from his favourite people? Phillip cast a forlorn look over towards Kat, who was way over THERE in that other group (HA HA Kat had to hang out with FIVE YEAR OLDS snicker), and Liv, who was over THERE on the other nine to eleven year olds group. Pouty ten year old was pouty. It. Wasn't. Fai--

GASP! SELINA SKYLAR WAS HERE!

His eyes widened and, naturally, he forgot about his family completely at the sight of the Quiddith player. He. Was meeting. A Quidditch player! The boy was all to excited to go and tell his mum about this as SOON as this thing was over but for the time being, he simply rushed towards the group. It seemed as if she was the only player there so far and there were a bunch of kids, none of whole he recognised. Great. Thanks, universe, for making him stay in a group where everyone was a strange--

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Phillip ROARED with laughter. Someone had an accident? HA HA! Embarrassing! Not for HIM, he was enjoying this way too much. When he'd finally calmed down (ahem) the boy smiled at the others there, even Wet Pants over there. "Heeeeeeeeey! I'm Phillip!" Nod. Remember his name, it was a great one.

YEESSSSSSSSS FINALLY! QUIDDITCH CAMP!!

His WWHOLE LIFE HAD BEEN LEADING UP TO THIS MOMENT!!!

Kind of.

Not really. His whole life was still leading up to the moment when he played his first professional game, but this was a stepping stone alright?? The only thing that sucked hardcore was that Haze hadn't wanted to come along with. Quidditch without his baby brother seemed weird. Good thing though? Noah was in this group. Another good thing? So was his mum. Really good thing? QUIDDITCH!

Sauntering in with his broom over his shoulders, Vincent arrived just in time to hear about...an accident. Poor guy. He'd fix this. Running up to the boy who was beside another boy he raised his voice. "NOOOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS! NO ACCIDENT WHAT SO EVER! GO BACK TO YOUR DAILY SCHEDULED uh- DAY TIME ACTIVITIES!"

Lottiepot 04-17-2015 07:08 PM

Despite how much she absolutely adored her older sister, being alongside Tabitha only highlighted how different their personalities could be. Where Ruby was quiet and shy Tabby was loud and outgoing. She was happy talking to strangers and being herself. Ruby felt intimidated by crowds and loud children left right and centre. In some ways Ruby wished that she was more like Tabby, in her eyes her sister was perfect in every way. She nodded in agreement to her statement. “I hope so” she chewed her cheek trying to spot whether her father had left yet. “As long as I don't fall off my broom” Or the other children were mean and arrogant she added in her head. "Do you think Daddy will stay and watch?" she asked. She was disappointed that her mother couldn't come too, she couldn't get the time off work and was regretful about it. She worked hard for the family.

Tabitha was talking to the other child (Benton)that Ruby had spotted earlier. She attempted to give him a shy smile as she continued clinging to her big sister not letting go of her arm. He looked friendly enough but daddy had always taught them to be cautious. Tabby was content to kick a boy if they upset her, Ruby wouldn't have hurt a fly even if they did something to upset her.

The pitch soon started to get filled with children around her age and the brunette watched with wide eyes as the other children began trying to make conversation and introducing themselves. Everyone was so confident and here was Ruby a shy little bean until she came out her shell. She turned back to Tabby. “They’ll all be so much better than me” she bit her bottom lip. Ruby was confident on the broom, Uncle Oliver had taught her well but that didn't stop her from doubting her abilities.

Another boy (Henry) came over to join the group that Ruby was attempting to break away from. She nodded, although lacking in enthusiasm mostly due to the prospect of having to talk to someone she didn't know rather than not looking forward to the camp. She also attempted a smile towards him. “A-as long as nobody gets hurt” she stated timidly. Namely her. That loud-mouthed girl (Saffron) over there looked like she could throw a punch or two especially with the way she was talking to the poor boy she came with(Corbin).

More and more children filed in and it meant less time to cling to her sister and hide. Did they have to work as a group? And where was Cornelius? The girl (Genny) and the boy that introduced himself as Phillip and was cackling to himself got timid ‘hello’s’ in greeting. She was content with letting them converse amongst one another unless they tried to get her involved. The ten-year-old wasn't rude or conceited she was merely shy and lacking in confidence.

AlwaysSnapesGirl 04-17-2015 08:52 PM

Quidditch camp timeeeeee!!

Rula parted from Junia, Abey, and Hassan to head for her group. And there were lots of other kids here already which was COOL. Maybe some could be her friends!

Like the redhaired Quidditch player lady!

Whyyyy was there talk about accidents though? Had she missed something???

"What's been happening??" she asked the girl (Ruby) closest to her who was also clinging to another girl. She looked like she'd been there at least a little while before her so she probably knew what was happening. Rula DIDN'T wanna miss stuff and be out of the loop!

Deezerz 04-18-2015 12:05 AM

anyone can claim him accidentally bumping into :3

He was HEEEEeeeeeeeeEEERE!

The moment his dad had paused at the other end of the field with the Quidditch newbs, Cornelius took his chance and DARTED toward group B, his broom in hand. This was his group.

ASLDKFJD!

With a great beam plastered on his face, Cornelius' green eyes drank everything in. GOSH. He's been waiting for this for AGES. OH HEY--

"RUUUBY!" His buddy! He ran toward her, accidentally bumping into a few. "SORRY!" Finally he skidded to a stop next to her and the other kids. "Hi!"

Were they starting yet?

SarcasticStrawberry 04-18-2015 12:11 AM

Hey guys!

Cameron was tossing a quaffle in his hands as the kids were starting to gather in their groups. He remembered how exciting quidditch camp was for him growing up. He couldn't wait to be an instructor to the kids. He was glad to see that some of his players were there Beck, Asher and Alec. And then there was Selina Skylar he gave her a nod. Still tossing the ball in the air go distraction Bayless keep tossing and catching that way you don't think about other things.

Okay, He supposed, they had enough to get started with a few warm up. Catching the ball his eyes glanced over to the other end of the pitch. "Hey guys, I'm Cam. Who's ready to play some quidditch?" All of them hopefully. "Now if any of you guys didn't bring a broom we have some for you to use." Thanks to Quality Quidditch Supply, of course. "Now I want you guys to do a few laps around the center of the pitch until the others show up. if you need anything just let us know." Him and Skylar could handle it for now right? Since this group was a bit more familiar with brooms then the youngest groups that should keep them busy before the real fun starts.

MuggleDinosaur 04-18-2015 03:09 AM

Kids. Little kids. Not teenagers. Little kids. Oh goodness, someone would really have to keep an eye on his mouth. Actually someone would have to remind him to think before he speaks because this wasn't going to be all that good at all. Enzo Abernathy walked up to the group he was going to be working with. Yes there were going to be other players but no he would still have to think before he speaks. That was something that Enzo wasn't so good at. He looked around for some of the players or anyone else that looked familiar to him but all he saw right now were kids, kids and more kids. He was pretty sure that these kids weren't even attending Hogwarts yet. WERE THEY STILL IN DIAPERS?!? They still had to be in diapers. Just look at them. They weren't old enough to go to Hogwarts yet and he didn't know how good they were at flying on a broom. They should have stuck him with the older kids but really he didn't know where he was going to go at first. He cleared his throat. "Hello little kids, you might not know me." He paused, they were too young to probably know him anyway. "I'm Enzo Abernathy and I'm a beater for the Chudley Cannons." He waved and gave them all a smile. He looked around for an adult to talk to because he didn't know what little kids talked about, maybe face painting or playing in mud. His green eyes went to CAMERON BAYLESS! He knew who that guy was. "Cameron Bayless, Manager for the Tutshill Tornadoes, nice to meet you man." Enzo stuck his hand out for the man to shake it.

Bazinga 04-18-2015 03:19 AM

waves and hellos to all

Benton was standing wide eyed with excitement when two girls came towards him. He wasn’t afraid of girls or anything, but he wasn’t one to just jump and talk either. Hearing one of the girls say hello he gave them both a smile. “Hi” He waved his hand quickly, because putting it down. He felt goofy waving and saying hi, maybe he should have just said hi or maybe he should have just waved. His mind started wondering as he thought about the different combinations he could have done to greet them that was better then what he actually did.

Seeing a set of siblings he assumed, because of their interesting way about them. Laughing as the one said the other peed himself, Benton quickly put a hand over his mouth. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh.” It was funny though. Seeing another boy he gave a wave this time, “Yes it’s going to be awesome!” They were just going to have a sweet time, he couldn’t wait.

OH and adult! Yes was she a pro player? Benton was sure she had to be, though he didn’t know exactly who she was. Unless they were a cannon like his big cousin he didn’t know them. Where was Ross anyway, he looked around. He better be teaching this age group! Seeing more people coming he just gave waves and watched them closely. A few had their own brooms like Benton did, that was so cool! Though the one being really loud was a bit interesting. He tilted his head to figure him out.

So many kids, his eyes looked at Cornelius, he actually knew this one. Giving him a small wave as well before seeing two more adults. One seemed nice the other he just blinked at. He was a Cannon so Benton knew him, but he was a beater. Beaters were just different. They weren’t all that cool in his eyes. Turning his attention back to the man that said to grab their brooms, this was who he was going to listen to! YEP brooms! Awesome, he grabbed his jumped on and pushed off. Soon he was in the air (as high as the broom would let him) and he moved around their area of the pitch. This was awesome already!

emjay 04-18-2015 03:58 AM

Henry's smile didn't even falter one bit as the one girl (Ruby) in the group seemed a little scared. He was too excited and he knew she would soon be having fun. "Don't worry.. it's gonna be fun and no one will get hurt. My sister says they won't even have real bludgers here, just pretend ones." Oh, oops.. he wasn't supposed to mention her, but it kinda did come up. And, see! That boy (Benton) knew it was going to be fun too! "I can't wait till they teach us how to be real live chasers!" Because he was going to be an awesome one! Were they going to have chasers here? He looked around and noticed a lady (Selina) with a bat. She must be a beater though, but she still got a cheerful wave from Henry. Hitting things was cool too!

A really loud voice soon caught his attention and he turned that way. An.. accident? Henry first looked at the boy (Corbin) in question then at the girl (Saffron) shouting about him. That wasn't nice at all, especially with a bunch of kids laughing at him now. "You aren't s'posed to say that," he said, wrinkling his nose at her. "Even if it was true." And he didn't smell anything, so he didn't think it was. An equally loud voice made him look again, but he didn't wrinkle his nose this time. It was pretty cool for that kid (Vincent) to come to the other boy's defense and Henry smiled a little, deciding these two boys were now his friends.

He turned when someone (Cornelius) bumped into him, but since the boy said sorry, he wasn;t even mad. "It's ok!" he called towards him, his excited smile back in place. It was almost time to start, he just knew it! He saw a couple more adults (Cam and Enzo) coming over and he grinned at them both, giving them big waves. Though his smile faltered just slightly. "I'm not a little kid," he mumbled. He was ten not two. But that was soon forgotten when he said what team. That was his second favorite 'cause Giles! And he was pretty sure he had gotten Enzo's autograph when Giles took him to visit their pitch.

Oh, and laps? He could totally do that! "I have my own broom, Mr. Cam!" Did he see? Henry held it up for him before swinging his leg over and mounting it. That one kid (Benton) was up in the air already and Henry kicked off, soon catching up to him.

noodles 04-18-2015 07:44 AM

Ruby's lack of confidence could be taken as pessimism if you didn't know her. She was like their dad in that way. Freddie could appear stand offish.. and he had this whole intimidating, 'don't come near me' thing going, but it was mainly down to shyness (and that shaved head and the permanent frown..). Tabitha squeezed her sister's arm and smiled encouragingly. “If you DO fall off your broom, I'm sure there's safety spells to stop you hurting yourself, Ruby.” She paused for a moment. “But you wont fall off your broom. You're perfect at flying.” The perks of living in Cornwall and having an uncle on one of the nearby teams. She nodded to the boy (Henry) in agreement. “See? Anyway, I'LL look after you.”

The little girl got up on her tiptoes and looked around and toward where the parents were sitting spectating. “I can't see him.” She said, cheerful about that fact. They didn't need their parents here! Because LOOK! There were players arriving to look after them!

Wasn't that... Selina Skylar? Ooooh.. Tabby gazed in awe. A Falcons supporter she may be, but that didn't stop her from admiring the female players. The Harpies would be her second choice of team. GRRL POWER.. and all that. Tabby beamed at the woman from ear to ear. Oh, she was really pretty.

More and more kids arrived. Tabby let out a giggle at the two siblings and the LOUD, yelling boy (Corbin, Saffron, Vincent). A demure little giggle because Tabby was eleven years old and 'mature'. The group was growing. Tabby tried to pick out the kids her own age. The ones likely to be going to Hogwarts with her.

Someone (Rula) was talking to them... or to Ruby. BUT THEY WERE HERE TOGETHER, HELLO, so Tabitha thought she'd answer for her shy little sibling. “Well.. apparently that boy over there..” She pointed at Corbin “..has apparently had an accident according to that girl over there..” She pointed at Saffron. “But apparently..” Apparently Tabby had just learned the word 'apparently' that morning and was making full use of it. “..we're just waiting for the players to get started.”

Oh and hello Cornelius. Ruby's friend. Tabby knew who he was, yes. “Hi, Cornelius.” She greeted cheerfully. “Are you excited?” She beamed.

Oh were they starting. EEEE! Tabby looked over at the man who was speaking. Cam. Okay. Who was ready to play Quidditch? “ME!” She answered like this was pantomime. YAY! They were getting to FLY now!

Ooh.. Another player. Enzo Abernathy. Little kids? Hmph, no. Excuse you.

“Come on, Ruby.” She said, leading her sister out of the crowd where they could take off.

Harron Peasley 04-18-2015 01:57 PM

"As the oldest," Corbin began in protest, crossing his arm awkwardly over his chest whilst still trying to grip his broom. "Iam keeping 'Stemp'. You can change your last name. Idiot." As the first born Stemp child, and the best Stemp child, and the family favourite, it was his right. His BIRTH right. So suck on that, Saffron.

.................... And while you're at it, have an eye roll.

A major, Lorelai Stemp worthy eye roll. "I did NOT have an accident. SHE -" Pointy pointy major pointing at his twin here. "- was an accident." And he was completely prepared, as only a nine year old could be, to pull his pants down and wiggle his bum around and show EVERYONE that no such accident had happened. Corbin hooked his fingers into his belt loops, ready for the big reveal, should it be needed.

Newly arrived person (Genny) was getting a grin until she PINCHED her nose and and seemed to be following Saffrons lead. Another eye roll for YOU, random girl. It was a good thing that Stemps didn't need friends. If the nine year olds eyes were going to roll anymore, they'd be rolling right out of his head. "I. Did. Not. Have. An. 'Accident'." Did they get that? Did stupid, idiot, laughing boy (Phillip) GET THAT? Nothing to see here, move long people. He wouldn't blush. Corby was PRAYING that he wouldn't blush, because that meant that Saffron won. And Saffron COULD NOt wIn.

He would not be remembering stupid's name. NO SIREE.

At least the other kid who'd laughed (Benton) had apologised, but either way, the two of them were getting some serious Corbin Stemp scowls.

"Sweet, bro." Corbin managed, giving the new kid who was trying to help a grin. At least SOMEONE believed him. He held out a fist to him (Vincent) and decided that he liked him. "Corbin. That's crap pants." He indicated Saffron with his other thumb over his shoulder. As other people joined the group, they got 'sup' nods and stuff, unless they laughed about the accident. And the boy who bumped into him (Cornelius): he got a scowl. A BIG scowl, no matter his apology. No one bumped a Stemp. At the sound of another kid (Henry) sort of standing up for him, Corb raised an eyebrow slightly, but gave another grin. "It's so not true. Making her a liar."

When Cam introduced himself, Corbin let his eyes wander to the adults, fingers tightening once more on the handle of his broom. A few laps? He could do that. he could probably do that better than anyone else here. Well, any of the other kids, anyway - he reckoned he was on par with the professionals. He gave a few nods of acknowledgement before wriggling his shoulders and stretching out slightly as Enzo introduced himself. Were they all doing names now? Would he have to remember them all?

Because it was doubtful that that was happening.

Lottiepot 04-18-2015 03:09 PM

How many more people were going to arrive at this Quidditch camp? Ruby had assumed when mummy had excitedly informed her of a camp for children her age that she’d be able to do her own thing under the supervision of adults. But now that she was here and separated into groups the little brunette was more nervous than ever. Her mother had told her to be sociable, to talk to as many children as possible because one day they were going to be her class friends. But Ruby took after her father in many ways, not the whole frowny intimidating look kind of way but the shying away from social situations sort of way. She wasn’t confident like Tabby, she couldn’t just get up and talk to the others like her blonde haired sister could. She had to get to know them first.

Ruby knew that whatever Tabitha said was right. She was fairly certain that she wouldn’t fall off the broom, she was pretty advanced with her flying skills for her age considering she’d spent a fair amount of time with Oliver at the practice pitch. “I guess.” She replied. At the compliment she offered her sister a genuine smile. “I’m not as good as you though Tabby. What position do you think you want to play?” She could always picture her sister with a bat like the red-haired woman over there. Tabby knew how to throw a punch or kick a boy in the shins, she was fairly certain she’d be able to whack a bludger with perfect accuracy. She also knew Tabitha would look after her if anything did go wrong.

The boy (Henry) agreed with Tabitha though and he got a small smile because of it. “Who is your sister?” The ten-year-old asked timidly. Maybe she was someone big and famous and Tabitha would know about her because Ruby wasn’t so obsessive about Quidditch players. She liked playing Quidditch and she supported the Falcon’s because of Uncle Oliver but she didn’t know who ALL the players in the league were.

And along came Cornelius! Ruby smiled fully, a sweet toothy grin that only her family and her really close friends did. She knew Cornelius because they flew together at the Falcon’s pitch and his daddy was the big boss man. He was the same age as her too! “Hi Cornelius” she giggled as he bumped into other children as he ran. She was still gripping onto Tabitha as he approached but at least she had relaxed a little. “This is my big sister Tabby. Only she’s not very big.. or old..” Hence why she was in this group. They HAD met hadn’t they?

Suddenly another girl (Rula) was talking to her and Ruby stared wide eyed at her. She was ABOUT to answer but Tabitha knew how it worked. She spoke for the both of them, Ruby just nodded in agreement so that she didn’t have to speak. “And everyone has been saying hello to each other” she added because that had basically been what had happened.

Speaking of introductions, were they going to be made to stand in a circle and say their names and something interesting about themselves? Ruby never had anything interesting to say, she didn’t consider herself important or fascinating in any way. She was just.. Ruby Broadmoor. She usually resorted to the ‘I have a pygmy goat called Aslan’ fact because that was the most interesting thing she could think of. “I’m Ruby” she offered to anyone who was listening as it came out her mouth quietly.

Suddenly the adults were telling them what to do and calling them ‘little kids’ despite the fact they were clearly not the youngest kids there. She frowned in response to the Enzo man whomever he was because they had NAMES and they weren’t that little. He was a beater apparently for one of the league teams. Tabitha appeared to have the same response as her. The other man Cameron was less ‘little kids’ but more enthusiastic. She raised her hand in response to his question. She WAS ready for Quidditch and she was kind of excited for it too now that she was here.

Suddenly Tabitha was pulling her away and she followed along happily.

........ Wow. Words galore. SORRY.

"As the tallest, prettiest and most favourite... I think you should change YOUR last name. There's a reason you only got ONE middle name." And that was because Corbin was the woooooorst ever. It wasn't that Saffron thought she was better than Corb, but that she knew she was. Mum always said that Corbin was too much like his father, and Saffron was smart enough to know of all the stupid things her Daddy had done. Like that one time he let Uncle Donnie dye the dog's fur green. Oh yes, she knew ALL about that. Therefore, she was all mighty and superior and Saffronical. Eeeeeeee.

After her announcement that Corbin was a stinker and had things in his underwear that should not have been there, Saffy looked around for APPROVAL and who was going to need to be taken OUT on this camp. Did they know they she had the swinging arm of Lorelai Bristol in her blood? Probably not. First off she SMILED at a girl giggling (Genny) and took a few steps her way, purposely linking her arm with hers. "I bet his parents make him sleep in a nappy." HEHEHHEHE. Saffy BET she wouldn't guess that they were twins. But if this girl found her funny then Saffsy was ALL FOR being friends.

Keep your friends close... And something else, but Saffron didn't pay TOO much attention to Ringo when he talked and talked and talked about nothing in particular.

oH. HELLO. More laughing - and from a boy this time!! (Phillip) Saffy clapped her hands and beAMED with glee. "Phillip sounds like something you would call a poisonous toadstall. If you did THAT kind of stuff." Which she didn't. And it was SO very unfortunate for him to be called such a heinous name. What a DOLL. She'd find a way to put glitter in his hair later. Ta ta for now, toadie.

................ Wow.

Corbin had his first little fan. Saffsy folded her arms after freeing them from her new BFF's, and rolled her eyes equally as much as Corbin was right now. Two could play that game, twinnie. "The smell TOTALLY got stronger when HE got here." She announced to as many people as she could right then. "Maybe HE had the accident!" (Vincent xoxoxo you little cutie omg let me squish him omg) Of course he could be friends with Corbin, or he could come over here and stand with the better Stemp. The one with pink glitter laces. Which was her, if anyone needed confirmation. Corbin didn't have the complexion for pink glitter. That...and he wasn't pretty enough.

And then Corbin got PERSONAL. UGH. Saffron rolled her eyes as best as she could, scowled and stared at her brother. Her death stare. The one that he knew would mean she was plotting his death. Death by squirrel? Death by juice? Death by Saffron? "If I was an accident, then you were an accident, stupid." She wouldn't give him the satisfaction to know that it may have hurt her feelings for him to say that though. Saffron was a WOMAN OF STEEL and she had an ice heart. No feelings. Goodbye, Corbin. Silly twin. She wasn't impressed with the group of people (Ruby, Tabitha, Rula, Cornelius, and anyone else that I forgot!!!!) that weren't standing with HER or Corbin though. Were they not choosing? Did she need to go and take them by the hair and PHYSICALLY put them on HER side? Did they know that the rest of their lives were going to ride on this very choice?

MORE professionals!!

Saffron smiled her bestest best Stemp smile, mainly because she knew who all of them were. Was she not supposed to? Was it obvious that she KNEW who they were?! Were the stars in her eyes able to be seen?! Had anyone noticed how she kept getting a little lost staring at THE SELINA SKYLAR OH GLITTERY GUMDROPS SHE WAS ALL SHINY AND HUMANY IN REAL LIFE. This Stemp was done. This Stemp was completely done. Of course, Selina was her secret favourite player in the world, because...Auntie Kaia and Uncle Oliver both played and they got her birthday presents. So she had to like them a bit more. Mr-Not-Selina-Skylar (Cam) was talking and Saffsy was trying her hardest to pay attention to him, and only gave him her FULL defiant STARE when he mentioned people not bringing brooms. "Who comes to QUIDDITCH camp WITHOUT a broom, MR?!" Yeah. Yah. WHO?!

But she COULD do laps. Laps were easy. Wasn't this supposed to be helping them? What was she going to learn by doing la-- LITTLE KIDS?! Saff dropped her broom at that very moment and gave THIS guy the STARE. (Enzo) "I know who you are, Abernathy. Your swing is the weakest in the league. Mummy says that a blind bat could beat better than you." Teehee. It WAS only the truth. "Maybe you need to attend camp with us 'little kids'." He'd probably learn a thing or two. She HATED Corbin, but she couldn't deny that he was gifted on a broom. She wouldn't tell him to his face. But Enzo Abernathy was going to get STEMPED.

Enzo smirked at the kids. People would tell him that kids were fun to work with and weren't serious? He wasn't joking about the little kids part but seriously, these people must get this seriousness from one or both of their parents because they don't know how to have fun at all. He was glad that he didn't have any children because apparently they make you become way to serious and not know how to have any fun at all. Sigh. They should probably start flying around on some brooms now. Enzo looked towards the other Cameron and Selina to see if that was a good idea.

Mentions of Saffron ^^

If the kids were looking forward to the Quidditch Camp, Arthur was excessively excited. He could not believe that he was a part of the cool professionals teaching children Quidditch. It was going to be an experience that he would never forget. Like an eleven year old boy, he ran towards the middle of the pitch where his group was at.

The Chaser looked up at the sky where a couple of kids were already flying. They were pretty good too. "Hi, I am Arthur Lee," he said to the people who had both feet on the ground and cared to listen. "So, guys. Listen to your teacher and do some laps." That WAS what they were doing, yeah? Arthur gave the girl nearest to him (SAFFRON) a pat on the shoulder to get her moving.

Benton looked at the boy and nodded his head, “That’s what I’m going to be. Just like my big cousin.” He would be an awesome chaser. “I’m Benton by the way.” He looked toward the boy to say his name, maybe a new friend. He eyed all the other kids too, did they hear him say his name. He hoped they did, but he wasn’t going to say it louder and maybe get into trouble like the one girl who said her brother had an accident was. She was really loud and rude, did she not know manners? Benton would have been in trouble if he talked that way to an adult.

He watched quietly, everyone was just so everywhere. His eyes widened as he heard the coach man (Cameron) say about laps. They could get on their brooms, then there was Arther Lee, Benton froze a bit, “You are awesome.” He was star struck, yes. He just kept watching, a real life chaser! Finally!! Not just the beaters that were here. Now they had a chaser.

Finally getting out of star struck issues, he grabbed his broom and jumped on getting into the air. This was going to me so much fun. “WHO WANTS TO RACE??” Were they allowed to race? He glanced at the instructors hoping to not get into trouble, but how could he not ask to race, he was in the air! WOOT!
