Courtroom Seven Apparently Wizards DO shop at Ikea. Courtroom Seven has been refurbished in a more modern style than the other courtrooms and as such its where many of the more... shall we say... high profile cases take place. The seating is comfortable and padded, there are no annoying drafts, and best of all it is light and airy in here. There is a fully equipped press box up in the back and the high dais, which usually seats the chief Warlock, the Minister of Magic, the Senior Undersecretary and the Head of Magical Law Enforcement as required, is very shiny and modern. OOC: You are more than welcome to make use of this space for your own RPs, but if your character is mucking around, they might get asked to move along. :) |
"Courtroom Seven!" Gina said excitedly guiding in the group of young impressionable minds. She clapped her hands. "This is where it all happens... Here is where the law prevails." She smiled. |
"Wow..." Eino exclaimed as he carefully entered the room. It was much nicer than he had imagined them to be. He was still carrying a notebook and quickly filled a page, writing a detailed description of the room. He even poked the padded seats to see just how comfortable they were were, and theywere very cushy. He was impressed. As he paced through he room he wondered just how many of the wizarding laws had been created, modified, and executed in this place. He definitely wasn't at Hogwarts anymore, where the worst that could happen to a student was get detention in the forbidden forest, but even then they would be accompanied by a staff member. This was were people were sentenced to Azkaban... right? At least, that was what he thought. After scribbling down a few more notes, Eino looked at the nice lady who called him handsome and spoke. "Will it be long until we visit the Department of Magical Creatures?" He was the most excited to see what people in that department did, and if any of them could take him with them on their next expedition. |
Woah...Kurumi had never seen anything as shiny as this room - except for the smile on a certain Hufflepuff, but Kurumi wasn't too eager to think about that person right now. They probably weren't even given her a second thought either. Kurumi first walked up to the dais and gawked at it. Even on her tip toes she couldn't see the top of it. She turned around just in time to see Eino poke one of the seats and tried not to laugh at his curiosity - which always sparked hers a bit. "Can we...sit in one of the seats?" she asked. She was more talking about those seats held by the important people and not those being interrogated. |
Penny stood open-mouthed for a few minutes while she took in her surroundings... this place was - and there was no other word for it -Cool!!! She saw Eino poking the seat, Kurumi wanted to sit in the high seats but Penny just wanted some history on the place... "Is this the courtroom where the Deatheater trials took place?, she asked as she wandered over to the chair in the middle... Imagining the chains snaking their way around the accused - she shivered. As interesting as this place was - Penny really wanted to visit the Department of Magical Games and sports....and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Penny knew that when she left school, she wanted to either be involved in sports or be an Auror. |

She had been really looking forward to this tour - had been, past tense.... Because at the minute, it was very boring... they had been invited to ask questions, but their guide didn't seem to know much about anything - instead, they, Penny's fellow students were figuring things out for themselves.. Penny was hungry now and was torn between seeing the Department of Magical Sports and actually leaving the Ministry and getting lunch. |

"Shall we to the next level?" |
Seeing as they clearly weren't going to be in the corridor right in plain sight, Simon headed off into one of the actual courtrooms. Opening the nearest door, the auror trainee tentatively stepped inside despite the fact that it seemed to be quiet and empty with nothing going on. Sometime cautiousness was needed, probably a rare thought for one of the house usually believed to be so brazen but he wasn't about to risk trouble should a ministry worker or three be inside working on something or another. "Really Simon..." he mused aloud, the sound softly echoing in the large and empty courtroom. That was as odd as looking for lost cushions when summoning or replacing was probably more beneficial. Simon almost tried the summoning but no doubt it had been attempted already...IF they were even lost in the first place. Maybe Legend had been on the right track to avoid the directive...maybe he had known it was fake or Izzy's attempt of the coffee task. The young man simply opted to continue looking and if it was fake surely someone would come looking for them...well him ...after a while. |
Chevron Wilkes needed a table. ....no one was using THESE tables. Nice, unused tables. New, too. Oh padded seats, too? NOTED. Chev would come back for one of those. His office needed a good padded chair. For now though, Chev simply tested the sturdiness of the table by sitting on it. He shimmied his butt across the surface. Yep. Solid, good table. That'd do! So, Chev rummaged around in his robes and retrieved his wand. He actually didn't think ANYONE would stop him from dragging this table all the way to the streets of London above, but the table was too heavy for that. Chev didn't want to sweat. He shrunk the table down a manageable, lightweight size and pocketed it. Table acquired: next stop? Diagon Alley. |
I feel like I'm going to regret this. This part of the touring was easily done on her own, which was good since as interesting as it was to have various department heads show her around their levels, they all naturally put a spin on it to give themselves a bit of a positive review. She couldn't be bothered with that right now, with pretending like she believed the good press. Besides, who was she kidding? It wasn't as if it wasn't obvious she was passing judgement on the lot of them. |
Boom. Chevron was "BORROWING" a table one second, then flat on his back with his robes over his head the next. He felt a draft on his bare legs. Perhaps it was the cool, deep-underground draft? OR perhaps it was the chill of being hexed by a beautiful woman for no particularly obvious reason. Being no spring chicken, Chev just had to ...lay there. For a while. He might have thrown his back out. Sprawled and out was Mr. Wilkes. |
Ugh. |
COUGH. .... COUGH. Good to know his lungs were working. Chev, not exactly being shy wasn't in a huge hurry to fix his robes. But he did push the fabric off his face. Even flat on his back, even when seeing stars, this Wilkes wanted to SEE the blond fury that had put him in this most vulnerable position. COUGH. "Occasionally," he answered. "I'm currently on break, you see." |
"Then you have even less excuse than some deviant off the street would. WHY are you stealing Ministry property? Put it back immediately or so help me I will have you charged, tried, and held, so fast that you won't know what hit you." The look in her eyes, of course, was frosty. |
Quote:
"Promise?" Chev chuckled at her. He managed a little crunch, arms extended, and ALMOST made it halfway up... before falling back to the floor. Oof. This might take a try or two. She was so angry over a table. She could take the table, but she'd have to search him for it. "How about you tell me yours and I'll tell you mine." |

Her eyes narrowed infinitesimally. Clearly this lump of a man was not taking her at all seriously. She hexed him again. Only a little hex. More of a sting, really. A little sting. |
Tegz and Touz....Tegz said this could be fun. ^_^ The courtrooms had many little acloves hidden along their stone, dungeon-like corridors and those were the exact things that had Armen Recard down on level 10 in the middle of the work day. Once upon a time he and Isobel had snuck down here to spend time with each other, but those days were long and past, the blonde already getting married to Wes Ferguson and he was preparing to make his move on Gabi Schultz. These surely were different times. The man stood and began to make his return to level six after his little break when he heard a loud bang which sounded like magic being fired off in a nearby room and then some raised voices. The Department Head thought at first of just leaving and letting whoever else was there deal with it, not his problem and all but he changed his mind when he heard one of the voices was female. That wouldn't be good if something happened to her and he was right there. Siiiiigh. The man walked along the corridor until he reached the door where the sound was coming from and propped it open slowly, sticking his head into the well furnished and completely out-of-place Courtroom Seven. The scene before him was....unorthidox, even for the Ministry. "What's going on in here?" he said raising his own voice, the authoritative one he loved to use so much. "Ma'am is this drunkard bothering you?" He looked at the attractive blonde "You. Cover up, there is a lady here." He spat at the man. |

Chev chuckled, again trying (and failing) to roll himself to a sitting position. His back was so thrown out, but in the end he managed to roll over to his stomach. That was ... betterish. "If this is you being patient, Beautiful, I'm afraid I won't be able to resist seeing you lose patience." So go on. Quote:
Chev managed up to his knees, butt up and pointed towards the pair of Oh-So-Brilliant Department Heads. He groaned, his back pulling and tugging, but managed a chuckle in an among it all. Drunkard? Bothering HER? Oh chuckle. "Two ladies, by the way I see it." Not that he could see much from this position. |
One of those days. The kind that was filled with men who couldn't think with their brains. Not that Althea was aware that there were men around that weren't insensitive chauvinistic idiots, but she did seem to have a knack for attracting the attention of that kind. Quote:
Thea narrowed her eyes, unamused. Quote:
Yes. Yes he was, but Althea hardly needed a man to fight her battles for her. Her eyes narrowed slightly but she decided that this one was at least relatively harmless, and at least saw the need for manners. Quote:

"Do you even work here? What are you doing down here in the Courtrooms and the Ministry for that matter besides running an eceletic furniture thrift store in your robes?" The Department Head eyed the man for a moment pulling his wand out and holding it at his side. "Should I summon Mr. Ferguson, the Law Enforcement Department Head or some of his aurors to force you to put the table back or do you think you can handle that on your own?" He said sneering. He didn't want to involce the dafts of MLE but this was technically their jurisdiction. Quote:

Armen breathed in hard from his nose to try and calm his anger but raised his wand just the same. "You do not talk to me that way dirtbag. Do you not know who I am?" He threatened. Recard was NOT going to be talked to that way, by a theif who stole tables of all things. |
Quoting is hard and Chev says nawwwwww. Chev chuckled. Who had asked her name? He hadn't. Nor her rank. Frankly, he didn't care if she was Minister or the janitor, all the same to him. She had two legs, blond hair, and a I have issues look to her - Chev was SOOOOOLD. He let them chat amongst themselves, people-that-thought-they-were-more-important-than-they-actually-were chat. Chev was busy trying to get up anyway. His back? Definitely out. Would MLE bring a stretcher, a beautiful nurse, and his benefits for getting hurt on the job? Probably right? "I think this will definitely call for MLE. Please, by all means, alert the masses that I borrowed a table and then was attacked by two department heads." Merlin, think of the LAWSUIT he could win? He could take a YEAR off work, spend it ALL at the tracks with his Monkey Nephew and maybe one of his kids. Maybe. Finally, with much effort, lots of grunts, and a fine layer of sweat Chev got to his knees. "Everyone knows you, Recardo." No hard feelings for the name calling or anything, but were they going to call MLE or what? Chev wasn't putting the table back - he was only BORROWING it anyway. |
Right, well, she was used to being leered at but that didn't mean she had to like it. And the sneer in this other man's voice... it didn't improve her mood, and she turned to narrow her eyes at him speculatively. Department Head? Recardo? Oh? Armen Recard? Naturally she had heard of him. |
The majority of the man's thoughts projected through his mouth having obviously not passed through his brain to see if they were intelligent or going to help his case just made Armen sigh and look at the other woman, a new department head. He hadn't met her, too bad it was this way that they had to make acquaintance. But he was brought back to the conversation with actual interest when the scumbag sayed that everyone knew him, speaking of Armen. That brought a grin to his face and he looked at the guy now crouching on his knees. "Yeah, that's good that you've heard of me then." He knew what he was capable of Get him in a chair? "He's a theif." Recard shot the woman a confused look and walked over and helped hoist the man into a chair. There. Now can they call the MLE to take him away. "What shall we do now?" he asked the blonde. |
