Food Eating Contests
|
She'd heard the word "contest" and decided to investigate. Games of athleticism or strategy (mostly strategy) had tickled her fancy for years, but maybe Peggy could learn something at this...food eating contest. Plus, she was hungry. The Magical Games & Sports department head made her way past the food area to this contest platform, peering around to see who the competitors were. She'd retired from competition of all sorts herself, but...well, yes, she would probably just watch. Probably. |
Hello, hello, hello! Yes Leo was here and yes he was ready for all the contestants. He had put cupcake scrunches in his hair just for this occasion. Sitting at the judges table with the rest he calmly waited for everyone to get ready and couldn't wait to get started. Okay maybe he wasn't waiting calmly at all and was up on his feet the minute he saw the first contestant arrive and people making their way to the stand to watch others stuff their faces full of yummy goodness. "Hello, hello! Why don't you tell everyone your name and what you are the most excited for today! I hope you came hungry!" |
Freedom! Cooper Branxton was hoping that the food served here would taste just as good. Better even, especially since he had not minded to terribly being grounded for half of the summer. He had still been able to go out as long as it was with family or for his part time job assisting Celyn's brother. Both of these were great and soul enriching reasons for being out of the house...and even just being stuck at home was hardly imprisonment since it was on a loch and there was plenty to explore and do there. It had also given him plenty of time to self reflect and try to, with some awkward reluctance simply because it had all been so overwhelming, understand just all that had happened between himself and Meeks and...the world. Dad and mum retracting the punishment had come as a complete surprise and he had come to terms with the idea of his grounding being the duration for the entire summer. So now he felt the desperate need to make up for lost time and pack in as many things as possible. Kinsay had helped with that with her master list of things to do. He owed Olivia time...but he was panicking in how to execute what he had initially planned on doing since he had, well, he had surrendered to the thought that he could not do anything this summer. There was a weekend in Brazil with Theo to look forward to at least and the last minute no plans aesthetic was pretty much the MO for his best friend and dormmate. So many thoughts but first FOOD! His bag (heavy with his camera and film rolls - about 4 of which he had already used up today) up to the table and took a seat beside an older woman [Waddles] and drummed his palms on his thighs in eager anticipation. He recognized the Florean Fortescue's owner easily, it was one of my favorite stops in the Alley, and the sixth year grinned as it came to be his turn for the pleasantries. Public speaking, specifically as a storyteller, was his forte after all. "I'm Cooper Branxton. Rising sixth year Ravenclaw with a mum who raised me to properly indulge and enjoy delicious food, so I am very keen on rolling myself out of here at the conclusion of this contest," he began as a humble introduction. "I'm honestly just excited to be here and be apart of the celebration." |
