Victor was so excited that his mother let him adopt a Pygmy Puff. "Thanks Mom" he said while she put all the paperwork in her huge purse, he never understood how she could fit so many things in that tiny little bag, but hey he didn't ask questions. He looked down in his arms to see his new awesome pet, he didn't care what anyone thought or said Pygmy Puffs were awesome, he just loved cute cuddly things. "Hows it going there little Ziggy, did you want to play before we go home?" he asked it while petting it on its head. "Great more stuff in my purse" Carol thought while looking over at her son, he just looked so happy. "now Victor since Ziggy cannot carry mail like Owls can you still have to use the family owl, and don't worry i'll make sure that when we send Taft to come see you there will be plenty of treats for you and Ziggy" She knew he wasn't paying attention to her. "Oh I believe I see the play area Victor, its just to the left" she stated while grabbing him by his coat to steer him in the right direction. He was just absorbed into his own thoughts when his mother said something about their family owl and then she started to pull him in a direction, he was about to object to being pulled but saw it was in the direction of the play area. "Thanks mom, I think I got it from here" he said while reaching the area. He placed Ziggy down and sat down in front of him. "I wonder if you can play any games" he asked Ziggy knowing full well the little creature could not answer him. Carol followed her son and sat right beside him "he is defiantly cute, I'll have to ask what types of food they like, Victor please remind me to ask someone" she said after hearing a grunt from her son she knew he wouldn't like her forget. |
For anyone who wants to play with Tag and Stella3> After getting his little kneazle, Stella, Tag carried her over in her little cage and once at the pet play area he sat down on the ground and carefully, gently and slowly nudged her out of the cage. The little kneazle made her way out and then Tag grabbed her in his arms and started to pet her head. She seemed nice so far. But thing again not much was happening. Tag wondered if the people working here had some toys or something for the animals to play with. Instead he untied one of his shoelaces and started to let Stella chase it around. |
Quote:
"Oh alright mum" he said while picking up Ziggy. "Common little guy lets go meet new friends" Walking over he sat down quietly not to startle the other boys new pet, once he was down he placed Ziggy down on his matching blue blanket and said a quiet "Hello". "I like your new pet, whats his or her name?" Smiling, hoping to make new friends. |
Quote:
Looking up Tag heard a quiet voice and saw another kid walk up to him. He looked about Tag's age. "Oh, hello! Her name is Stella. She's a kneazle. Isn't she adorable?" Tag asked the boy, with a smile on his face. Stella was simply clawing her paws onto the grass, still laying down, at this point. "Hey, I'm Tag. Is that your adopted pet as well?" He said introducing himself, and pointing at pygmy puff on the blanket. |
Quote:
While talking to the boy Victor wondered if he should let out his new pet. "Oh, yup this is Ziggy, he's a Pygmy Puff. Im not to sure if Kneazle's get along with Pygmy puffs? Should we dare to try?" he said while looking at Tag and glancing over at his mother, he defiantly did not want to cause trouble while she was around. Carol sat down on a bench near her son and his new friend and watched them interact, she was happy that Victor was talking to other students. She felt bad that she home schooled him but it had to be done, but now that he was older she though it was time for him to join the rest of the world. Her fault for being an overprotective mother. |
Quote:
For a second Tag pondered over Victor's question. Felix and Mags always seemed to be at each other's throats when Lottie and Lex talked about them. "My friends have a pygmy puff and kneazle as well, I don't think they get along too well. But, we can try. Stella seems pretty harmless to me." Tag said with a nod, as he scooped up Stella in his arms and petted her behind the ear. The little blonde followed Victor's gaze and simply smiled at the lady he had looked to. Must be family. |
Quote:
He picked up Ziggy in his little blanket and brought him to his chest. "I think we can give this a go, why don't I just bring Ziggy to Stella? and let Stella sniff him?" he asked Tag. But Victor noticed his look go over to his mother. "Yeah, thats my mum. She needs to approve all my pets." "and my life" he added the thought. He caught his mums eyes again and waved awkwardly. "I wish I could have come on my own…" he let the sentence trail off.. |
Quote:
Watching closely Tag saw just how much Victor wanted to protect his little Ziggy the pygmy puff. He knew the feeling with his friends pets, this could turn out to be a disaster. The boy nodded at Victor's suggestion and put down Stella but held onto her back a bit, just so she wouldn't completely run away. Please don't run away, that'd be very bad. "Yeah, that's a good idea. Just let them test their waters." Whenever Ziggy was ready! "Well, do you have many pets at home? With Stella this is my fourth pet. Or, third, I should say. One of them is my sister's dog. How old are you? Cause you look like you could be on your own." He asked. But, of course, Victor didn't have to answer that, after all, this was their first time encounter. This may be too much, but it seemed like Victor was old enough to hang out with parent supervision. Yes? |

"I just have a family owl his name is Taft, my father normally uses him for work. i used to have a cat but that hasn't been in some time" he answered Tag's question. Oh he was asking him his age. "Oh I'm 15. Im sure I could handle everything on my own, its just mum home schooled me because she's very over protective, I don't know why but it took me a lot of pleading to get her to allow me to go to Hogwarts." The boys were getting along great she thought. "Maybe next time I'll let him go on his own." Pulling a magazine out of her purse she started to get more comfortable. Ziggy moved in his blanket. "Alright little buddy time to meet a new friend" he had him in the blanket still and moved Ziggys head near Stellas Face so they could smell each other. "Fingers Crossed right" he held his breath while holding very still. |
<<open>> Altair and his father decided to go to the play area with his new owl, Merlin. He carefully balance him on his arm the entire way and then his father stopped. "What's the matter Papa?" "Nothing son...it's just...well, a bit overwhelmng," his father sighed. "I'm just going to sit on a bench and..." he paused, "Take it all in." Altair frowned and was unsure if he should continue. He didn't want his father to feel so left out. They would also have to get his school supplies at some alley they'd never heard of. And this was just step one. They'd have seven more years of this, maybe more if his sister was one too. "Do you want to go, Papa?" he asked in a saddened tone. "No son! Of course not! This is your first big moment as a magic folk! Go enjoy yourself, I'll be right over there if you need me," his father said with a reassuring smile. "Thanks Papa!" he exclaimed as he trotted over to the play area. But, now that he was here, he didn't know exactly how to "play" with an owl. "Um...okay, well the lady said I should give you treats." Merlin hooted with joy making Altair laugh. "Well, I think it sounds like good idea too," he said as he pulled a treat from his pocket and Merlin picked it with his beak. "Do you think you could catch one in the air?" he suggested and Merlin gingerly nudged Altair's shoulder, then took off into the air. Altair took out another treat and tossed it high into the air and Merlin swooped into a nose dive and caught it. "Wow!" Altair clapped and Merlin landed on his shoulder and gave a small hoot again. He pet his owl's feathers. "Good job Merlin!" |
hope you don't mind ^___^ Quote:
Secretly Jun loved animals and magical creatures. He could be mean at time but when it came to creatures, he wouldn't even hurt a fly. Seriously, he'd make someone else to get the fly away. But he'd make sure they wouldn't hurt it. But now Jun was the owner of a crup and he couldn't be more excited. He always wanted a pet and now he finally had one. "Be free, my little one!" Jun put Uggie down and let him run around a bit. Uggie ran in circles a bit until finally returning to Jun. He wagged his unique tail and waited for a toy or something. "Hmm," Jun looked around and found a stick for Uggie to fetch. He'd still go after it, right? Well, Jun threw the stick, maybe a bit too hard and his crup ran after it nonetheless. But he ran too far. He noticed Uggie heading towards a little boy and his newly adopted owl. That was never a good sign. "Hey, Uggie! Don't get too close to the owl!" he chased after him. He really hoped the boy didn't mind. Jun finally caught up to his pet and held the stick in front of him. "Sorry about him. A bit hyperactive, I guess," He apologized to the small boy. |
Don't mind at all ;) Quote:
"Is it a terrier?" he asked. It was probably a foolish question to ask the older boy who addressed him. He was clearly much older than Altair and was more familiar with magic and whatnot. "Sorry, this is all kind of new to me." He forced out a smile as he bent down to pet the tail-wagging...well, whatever it was. |
"Mom can i play with my Pygmy Puff first?" Kace asked with his little guy all tucked into his hands. His mom rolled her eyes and checked her watch. "ONLY for a little bit." he said. He knew she was a time schedule but he gave her the pleading look and it always worked. He smiled and went to play with him. He was gonna call him Arnold. Yup he looked like an Arnold. "Hey Arnold...let's go over here." he said. Then he sat down and started to play with his pygmy puff. It ran after him and he was giggling. "Hey slow down!" he said and caught him. Then it climbed up his shoulder and snuggled next to him. "Aww okay i forgive you." he said nudging against him. "Kace we gotta go!!!" his mother yelled. "Coming!!" he said and brought Arnold with him. "You are gonna have a good home." he promised him. "My mom can be hard at times but she will love you." he smiled. |

This is all kind of new to me. HA. JUN WAS RIGHT. "You're new to the wizard stuff? That's alright. We were all new to it once. Plus, you'll eventually learn more at school," Jun smiled. Weirdly enough he smiled. Weird because small children annoyed him; like the one at the candy shop. But this little boy was actually being nice. "I'm Jun, by the way. Are you going to attend Hogwarts or?" Curiosity killed the cat, Jun. |
Quote:
"New?" Altair chuckled. "That's a bit of an understatement. A few weeks ago, the only magic I thought existed were card tricks and sawing people in half." He smiled at the tall new guy, who called himself Jun. "I'm Altair." He held out his hand for a shake. That's what his father always did when he introduced himself to new people. "And my owl up there," he nodded upward, "is my new owl, Merlin. My first piece to this new life!" "Hogwarts!" he shouted. "Sorry, my mind had been drawing a blank trying to remember the name of that school...my school," he corrected. "You really think they can teach kids with no experience? Is there other people that come from muggles?" Altair just learned the term 'muggle' and he was hoping he was using it correctly. |
Quote:
Jun remembered when he played those card tricks on his older brother when he found out he was a wizard. Yup, that was a good summer. "Oh, those magic tricks. Well, those are mostly illusion tricks. But our magic tricks are more fun," Jun grinned. Which was true because people who couldn't do magic would get all confused. Plus, they had their own joke shop which worked on wizards and muggles. Jun had to stock up on those too. "Nice to meet you, Altair," he shook the boy's hand. "Merlin. Like the famous wizard," he nodded. "Well, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy this new life very much! And this is Uggie, a hyperactive crup," Because who wouldn't love being a wizard? Jun definitely loved it and he was the only one back home who was. SCORE! Jun jumped up a bit when Altair shouted out his school name. "You're going to attend Hogwarts too?! Awesome! I'm sure you'll be sorted into a good house. But of course, us Ravenclaws are the best," Nudge. Nudge. Wink. Wink. Because let's be honest; Ravenclaws were the BEST house. Ugh, he was muggleborn too. Jun and Altair had way too much in common for just meeting. But not really a bad thing. "Of course they can! You're talking to one right now," Jun stood proud. There was no shame in being muggleborn. "Lots of us come from muggles, or non-magic people. Nothing to be shamed about. Even those who come from magical parents have to learn just like us. Even if they're one step ahead," Mhm. Many great wizards were muggleborn too. Just like Jun hoped to be. |
wave to Jun and Altair *whistles* After adopting a brown rat from the adoption fair, Kevin made his way over to the pet play area to get to know his new pet better. Sitting on his right shoulder, Templeton sniffed in the air as Kevin walked. WASN'T HE CUTE?! the rat was far cuter than any one elses pet! Reaching the play area, the not-sorted boy looked around for a good place to sit. A lot of people had showed up apparently...and one of them was... "GIGANTOR!" Yup he was shouting at you , sugarplums boy! He grinned as he waved from the other side of the field. "HI TO YOU TOO MINITOR!" Cause the other boy was small...LIKE HIM! Okay, now he had to get back to getting to know Templeton. Sitting down on the grass, Kevin shifted his legs until he sat indian style and placed the brown colored rat on his lap. "I'm going to take good care of you! I don't want to loose my hair!" Yes, he had remembered his contract. Scary contract was scary... |
*waves back* 'Ello Kevin! Quote:
"Whoa!? What? Merlin is an actual real person?!" Altair felt like he needed to sit down. He thought Merlin was just part of kid's story with Arthur and his nights, completely make believe. He didn't actually process that he was an actual dude. "I just thought it was a clever name the adoption people came up with. Hey Merlin, it's okay to come back down now," he called to his owl, who can swooping in and landed on his head this time. Altair laughed. "We are going to have to work on your landing skills," he said as he went ahead and gave Merlin a treat. "And it's a pleasure to meet you too Uggie." He looked down to the dog and gave a slight bow while balancing Merlin on his head. "House? What does that mean? And a raven-what-a?" Altair hated feeling so oblivious, but part of his worry went away when Jun said he was muggleborn too. "I was starting to feel really alone in all this, but here you are coming from the same boat and it seems like smooth sailing for you!" He only hoped he would be able to pick up on the lingo quickly. Meeting people like Jun helped though. He already felt like he was learning a lot and hopefully wouldn't be completely oblivious to everything once he got to school. "I'm just wondering how it works you know? My dad says that my mom never showed any magic abilities, so I'm wondering where it comes from?" Was it genetics? No. That seemed strange. Maybe it was simply magic? Whatever it was, it was certainly an adjustment to get used to. Quote:
Rats seemed unhygienic. But, maybe in the magical community there was a spell that kept them clean. Altair's eyes lit up at the possibility. He never thought of all the spells he might learn to help clean up the house! That sounded absolutely divine. Merlin clicked his beak by his ear, "Okay one more time." Merlin took off in the air and then Altair threw another treat as high as he could and the owl swooped down rather close to the rat boy and caught it right before it hit the ground. "SORRY!" Altair called out to him. |
Quote:
Jun chuckled. He couldn't really blame Altair for not knowing much. He was on that same boat back in his first year too. When Altair greeted his crup, Uggie wagged his tail and turned towards Jun. Kind of sensing what he wanted, Jun threw the stick and let Uggie fetch after it. Thankfully the stick went a bit far so Uggie would start running around on his own. Oh, the houses. Right. "At Hogwarts, we're divided into four houses. Those are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw. A hat, named the Sorting Hat, puts you into one of these houses, depending on your traits," Because Jun was a smartie, that's why he was put in Ravenclaw. Maybe. "No, you're really not alone. We all have to start from the bottom. Besides, you'll learn plenty of stuff at school and you get used to it by your second year," Ain't that the truth. Hmm, how did some wizards come from muggle parents? Jun never really questioned it. He was just happy to find out he was a wizard. "Uh, I'll back to you on that one," Quote:
"What's your name anyway?" he asked. Because since the shop, he never knew it. |
Holding Hunter in his arms, Joshua approached to the area where pets played and enjoyed themselves so his baby son could see the animals playing and...well...be happy? Josh hoped he would enjoy the time here. And the same, of course, went for Ryder. Stopping at where he could see...a crup or something, the young man stopped and looked back to see if Evelyn was following with Ryder. Oh yes...there she was. He smiled at them warmly. Merlin...did not see look beautiful? She always look beautiful and with his son, it really was one of the best things in the world to look at. He admired at the mother and son. And....the thing that excited him much that she was soon, very soon, going to be his wife. That alone was enough to make him the happiest man on earth. |
Quote:
Playing with Ryder's hand as he giggled, she chuckled and finally came up to stand next to her fiance near some play area for new pet owners. Good, there were a variety of animals she and the twins could see in action. Ryder seemed interested enough, giggles having faded as his big brown eyes fell on the playful creatures and owners, and Hunter... "What do you think about getting the twins a pet?" she wondered out loud, glancing to Josh. Couldn't keep the topic in anymore. |
Quote:
''Easy, Hunter.'' he said and let out a chuckle. Always so eager to discover things and he had no fear. That reminded Josh of his own childhood and so he also knew it meant trouble so he made sure his grip around his son for safe enough to keep him from jumping at the animals. When Evelyn spoke, Josh turned at his beloved fiance. Getting the twins a pet? ''Well...'' he was not sure what he could say about that. They already had some back at home. He loved the idea of Hunter and Ryder playing with animals...yet. ''Don't you think they are too young to be able to take care of a pet?'' |
Quote:
"What I mean..." Furrowing her eyebrows, she shook her head. "Didn't you grow up with a pet?" |
Quote:
Josh frowned a bit as he considered Evelyn's question. ''Umm...yeah. I grew up in a farm so that means lots of animals however...'' he eyed Ryder who seemed content with being in Evelyn's arms then eyed Hunter who was flailing his arms towards a kneazle nearby. ''...do not we already have animals back at home?'' |
