Animal Observations - Kneazles, Crups, Pygmy Puffs Want to check out the many kneazles, crups, and pygmy puffs available for adoption? Then this is the place for you! Come on by to observe all the furry little creatures in their enclosures. One of them may end up being your new animal friend. |
Heather's owl had finally kicked the proverbial bucket, and her heart felt heavy every time she looked at another snowy white owl. She had heard that the 23rd British Pet Adoption Fair was happening and she thought there was no better time than the present to get another per...preferably something that wasn't an owl. She drifted around and found herself in front of the kneazles and pygmy puffs. She had always wanted something fluffy when she was younger, but her mother had been allergic. Maybe a pygmy puff could be a good pet. Easy care right? |
When she had heard about this adoption fair, Kurumi couldn't wait to take a peek. Her and Lewis already had Walnut and Vanilla to look after, but it still couldn't hurt to take a peek, right? She gave Lewis' hand a squeeze as she lead the way towards the crup enclosure. She wouldn't mind playing with the kneazles and pygmy puffs, but there was more of a chance of them leaving today with a crup than the other two. Walnut would eat the pygmy puff and either pee on or skin a kneazle. "Aren't they adorable?" she squealed before making all sorts of baby faces at the crups. Okay, could they leave with one of these today? Could they? The crup could be best friends with Selina's dog and it would just be fantastic. "I've really missed having a dog. Although they do take a lot of work. Father used to always complain about Hikari, saying that she was more responsibility than a baby." But father loved their Shiba Inu very much, so she had never taken his complaining too seriously. "Totally worth it though. We should adopt one." |
Quote:
...crup. Lewis was watching Kurumi instead of the crups she was gushing over, smiling to himself about her reaction. Eventually he did take a step closer and took a closer look at the little creatures. They WERE quite adorable yes. He listened to Kurumi's words when she talked about how she missed having a dog (first warning) and then came the words he had sort of dreaded. "You want to adopt a crup?" His eyes were back on hers, while he tried to keep his voice even. And yes he was well aware that he'd simply repeated her request. |
Quote:
Baby dragons would trump any other creature any day. She stood back up straight when Lewis spoke, a small pout forming on her lips. "You mean...you don't want one?" She wouldn't force the matter on him, of course, but all these poor creatures that needed homes. She would adopt the entire lot of them if it were possible. She briefly looked back at the pack of crups that had gathered in front of them, their forked tails wagging like mad. "But look at that. He is so happy to see you!" Okay, so maybe she would push a little. |
Jory wasn't sure if he wanted to adopt any pet right now. For one thing, he and Ronnie were too busy at the Ministry and he won't want the animal to suffer because of that. But he did really want a crup. He thought the forked tails were pretty cool plus he always did want a dog. "Rons, do you think it's the right time to adopt one of these?'' he asked as he leaned closer to look at the crups. He was sure Ronnie would want to adopt a pet of her own too and he needed her opinion. |
Vincent walked up quickly with a small smile, this really couldn't have been more perfect. Rachel's birthday was coming up, and he'd bet she'd love to have a new little friend in their apartment. He immediately went to the pygmy puffs, more than likely that would be what she'd like but he'd give the other two a chance as well of course. He just didn't know if his fiance cared for anything else... Maybe if they were cute enough... Maybe. |

Jasper had drifted into the Cute 'n Fluffy section of the adoption fair. He spotted a blonde with long hair looking into the cages and pins and he held his breath for a minute hoping she might turn her head so he could confirm his suspicions. Just enough to get a glimpse of her nose. Anything. He was reluctant to leave straight away, however, because this was the area where he was most likely to find what he was looking for - a new companion that was more prone to cuddles, but wouldn't attack his muggle father. |
Quote:
She moved with a slow graceful walk until she stood next to him. "Pygmy puffs are nice. They don't require as much care as most and could always make good cuddle partners." Something that she was missing from her life was a good cuddle buddy. |
Rose Medea and Callie had been trying to figure something to do instead of stay in her friend's house all day and that's when the blonde reminded her about the pet adoption ad that had been in the Prophet the night before. They had finished getting ready, Callie threw on a pair of jeans and a faded and practically ancient, Weird Sisters t-shirt the two witches were out. Elwood was starving but they could get some food afterwards or maybe there would be a booth or something by the animals? Most people wouldn't really want to eat while playing and being around the pets Callie didn't care. Some people ate bugs and stuff so her eating next to some Kneazles wouldn't be the end of the world. Speaking of which, "Ooh look Medea they've got Kneazles AND crups!" She grabbed the brunette's arm with her own bangled one and began to drag her over to the observation area. |
Quote:
"Kneazles!" Squee! Eyeing the bunch, Medea aww'd. "You should get one, Callie." |
Quote:
He was blushing. Clear and obvious. He was blushing. His pale face well-pinked with embarrassment as he got the feeling, and quite intensely, that Heather was speaking of anything but pygmy puffs. Briefly, Jasper looked not unlike a boy who'd recently been scolded for something. His line of sight shot away from Heather as she approached ever closer. "I could use a good cuddle partner." His reply came rather whimsically as if he was filled with hope at the prospect, and his focus came back to her. Though, unable to maintain the pretense, Jasper caved in and gave Heather a tight but short-lived hug. "How are you, Heather? I haven't seen you in a while. Work must be keeping you pretty busy, h'mmm?" |
Quote:
"I don't know, your cats already stare at Galileo an awful lot and they make him nervous." He had told her and her bird didn't make things up. "But this one could be different..." She scratched it's little ear. Medea's cats weren't really Kneazles were they? She should ask William, he would know. "Do you like this one?" |
Quote:
"I'm doing good." Much better than good actually. She hadn't had a restless night in a while and her mornings didn't look so bleak. "I've been busy, yes. Not with work as much as other things though," she said softly. She looked away from him as blush colored her cheeks. "How have you been doing? What brings you here?" Surely not a cuddle buddy. |
Romanos & Elwood Jory heard the familiar voice but had not immediately registered it as he was still mulling over his decision to get a crop. It wasn't until the other voice (which had an accent) spoke that he realised who the belonged to. He spun around and came face to face with the voices' owners. "Professors!'' Er. Was it weird to call them that? Anyway, they'd always be Professors to him. Could he like give them a hug or something? Not sure if he should, Jory just grinned. He was thrilled to see them again. "How are you two? What's new at Hogwarts? Which of these are you guys getting?'' Yep. He was thrilled. |
Quote:
And that one Callie was petting, good Merlin, how could someone not fall in love these animals? "I know, I'm sorry." She flashed a look of guilt towards the divination professor. With Galileo and now Chu Chu in their home, it was making HER nervous. "He's absolutely adorable. Vith very beautiful markings. Goodness, vhy aren't you adopted yet, hmm?" Quote:
Oh, questions. Lots of questions. Goodness. |
Quote:
Quote:
Quote:
Wait they were talking to her too, or at least she assumed so because he had called them 'Professors' and she hadn't seen any other Hogwarts staff members but that could have been because of the distracting power of small animals. Oh but it was one of her favorite Divination students! "Jory, it's so nice to see you." She placed her hands on his shoulders and smiled at him. "I'm doing well and Hogwarts is good," he had no doubt seen and heard about the Competition and their school's big win. "I spent the majority of last term in Africa working with a friend from Uni on his research but Professor Romanos here kept me filled in." She said jabbing a thumb towards the woman at her side. As for which one she was going to |
Quote:
Jasper had found that remark about being busy with other things rather ominous, but it might have also been that he has just learned to read between what was said with Heather. They had, post their initial meeting finely tuned themselves to each's frequencies. A blissful sort of curse that he attributed to fate. But then, she had sounded so positive about it and also seemed to be looking just as happy. Maybe she had found her Marco turned around in her favour on his deliberations? Maybe the reason behind her use of more cryptic language could be explained by her having found someone else entirely? Why had that last idea sat there for so long? It had been so long since his best friend, Astoria. had any boyfriends (if ever now that he thought about it) and so it made it hard to tell if what he was experiencing was purely platonic...or not. Perhaps, it was merely a protective instinct. Yes. That was probably it. "Actually, Heather, that's exactly why I'm here." He stuck out his elbow and playfully leaned against Heather's shoulder withholding the natural weight of the posture. "My apartment gets a bit too quiet at night and weekends and I hardly feel like going out each night is a solution. Et tu?" |
Quote:
She chewed on her lip and twiddled her fingers. "How are you doing?" She was really wondering if he was okay. He seemed pretty happy. Very relaxed. "Attend anymore congresses lately?" Heather hadn't. However, she personally had purchased her own little set for her house. She found herself enjoying having some sound in the house. Made her feel...well not so alone at moments. |
Quote:
"But, you don't want a new one? Ah, well then you must want something else entirely?" And now it made sense! "Not lately. Though, there haven't been any that I've been into the dance form enough to attend." "Have you filled out the application, yet? Or have any idea what sort of pet you'd want to walk away with?" They could talk about this safely. Somewhat. Actually, Jasper didn't know as it seemed any topic could be turned towards deeper more emotional territory with a fair amount of ease. It never felt as work. |
Quote:
"I would like a pygmy puff or kneazle. Something that will be easy enough to take care off and waiting for me to return from work. My bed is really big and sometimes feels so empty, maybe another breathing body beside me would relax me a little more." To an outsider she was talking about a pet, however, she was sure Jasper would catch the double meaning. "What kind of pet were you thinking of getting?" |
Carter knew he wasn't going to be able to avoid an animal event. Nope. Not only that... he knew he'd be convinced to get another animal. So... here they were. Carter had one hand resting on his wife's back and a hand on his son's stroller. "Nothing big." he insisted. Connor was still really tiny. They had to take that into consideration. "And we're only getting one." He was firm on that. And he was going to pretend like he would be able to resist Destiny's 'but Carterrrrr' eyes. |
Quote:
So excited she was, she had Carter pushing Connor's stroller. She wasn't good with the thing to begin with, and now that there were creatures everywhere, so many creatures that she wanted to look at, she was going to be even worse and she would probably cause some kind of accident. And not the good kind of accident either. The good kind of accident where she crashed into one of the pet cages and freed all the animals that she could go and collect later. Definitely not one of them. She was walking on tip-toes to see inside all the cages, and purposely ignoring Carter, she moved over to where the Crups were and bent down in front of them. To anyone who didn't know her, it might've just looked like she was LOOKING at them. But she was really trying to see how strong the gates were. Maybe she could accidentally let them out and collect them later? "But Carterrrrr.." she didn't even bother turning to look at him, because she already knew what he was going to say. "How can we just get one? LOOKATTHEMALL." Was he looking? Was he? She didn't know, because she still wasn't looking at him. |
Quote:
"There is one." He sniffed. "At the end of August, I believe, or beginning of September. My friend, Astoria and I are planing on attending. You should come to that one. You could learn a lot from Ria." But then he winced wishing that Carpe Retractum worked on words as well. Either he was insulting Heather's dance moves or he was insulting Heather's dance moves. "I mean, a little practice never hurt anyone?" Awkward! Smile! He was so occupied thinking over his verbal misstep that he had completely missed whatever double meaning the next set of words could've had. "I'm not sure, just yet. Though, I'm sort of looking for the same thing in a pet. Do you think I should get a kneazle or something? I know I can't get a crup. My dad's muggle. Shame, though..." He stepped a bit closer to the crup enclosure. "As they are extremely adorable. Yes, they are! Yes! Oh, yes! Who's adorable?! Daddy's boys that's who!" Jasp was cooing toward the cruppies and he could smell their breath from his newfound proximity. Apparently he was susceptible to cute little animals. Cluck. |
Quote:
"You're not trying to break into the cages... are you?" he asked with raised eyebrows. Because, that would be frowned upon. Jails and babies didn't mix well. ... and there was the but Carter. He closes his eyes. He was not going to fall for it "Just one." |
Quote:
Heather laughed at Jasper's little cooing at the crups and she shook her head rolling her eyes. She could only imagine what he would be like had the animal been a child. "I think you should get a kneazle. They're kinda like cats in a way." She looked at the and shook her head. "I think I'll get a pygmy puff. Yes, a pygmy puff." The little ball of adorableness would be the perfect small cuddling buddy. |
Quote:
How cute was he!? Or she? She wasn't about to get closer to find out. And since her husband obviously didn't hear her the first time, Destiny settled down so that she was sitting in front of all the Crups and decided to try again. How was he saying no to her whining!? "But Carterrrrrrr!" Why? "Can I get two different animals then?" She thought that was more than fair. |
Quote:
"Well, if you'd like to go as a third, I'll have to ask Ria. But, you know anyone can attend. It's not only for experienced dancers." He just wanted to be clear. Just in case she thought that. "Yeah, but how smart are they? I don't want it reading my diary or anything." Was he serious? "And you're not about to become one of those witches that colour charms her pygmy puff and carries it around with her everywhere she goes, are you?" He looked a bit ...unnaturally worried over the idea, but he was joshing. Heather didn't seem the type to try and twist another living thing far from it's organic state. He knew from experience. "You know, I can't believe I've never asked you, but what astrological sign were you born under?" She was far too kind to be Leo. |
Quote:
She winked, "Oh, you know it. It'll be purple and pink and green and yellow and orange all with in the same hour." Of course she was only joking. She wanted a pink on though. A brighter color to light up the room. "I don't think they're too terribly intelligent though. Maybe they are. I don't really honestly know. Mom adoptive mother was allergic to fur so I couldn't have anything fluffy." She was rambling. Go figure. "Pisces." Heather smiled at Jasper. "As much as I love being a dove, I am a fish at heart." She shifted a little and chewed on her lip. Dove. That word still meant the world to her. She had even began to practice her patronous a bit. "And yourself? What might you be?" |
Quote:
But he needed to stand his ground, right? Right. He couldn't even keep track of what they currently had. Oh. Andtherewasthewhiningagain. "It depends on what you want." SWEETMERLIN. He just gave in, didn't he? |
Quote:
A tantrum so tantrumey, it would make any two year old jealous. Destiny had no idea what had gotten into Carter, not that she wasn't impressed by it, because she was, but he had never taken this long to cave into her before. She even did the angry eyes thing to him! That should've worked right away. She was just about to turn back towards him and give him the biggest pout he had ever seen when.. he did it. He caved! And she was kind of upset with herself that she didn't try to get three pets out of it. Connor was almost three months old. Couldn't he fill out an application? No. Okay. Fine. Two pets it was then. Destiny jumped up from off the ground, forgetting about the Crups almost immediately and moved back over to Carter. She wrapped her arm around his waist and placed her free hand on the stroller as a hint to get him to start walking. Right towards the animal she had been trying to get him to let her have for MONTHS. "I want a Kneazle." Since both the felines she had at home were cats. "And I've never had a toad before." |
After Kace's decision on the snow owl, he noticed the pygmy puffs and he thought they were adorable. He held his mom's hand and lead her to the observation den. "Kace where am i going??" his mom asked. "I just want to see the pygmy puffs!" he said while running. "Geez i should have let your father take you instead." she thought aloud. Kace shrugged and then made it and saw them. The little puff balls all talking and moving. He smiled and held his hand out to try and touch them. One little red one was looking at him with beady eyes and using the puppy dog begging look. "Awwww mom look at him/her." he said feeling his heart getting all broken like. "I think we should adopt it." he said rethinking his decision. "Alright sweetie make your decision between a Snow Owl or pygmy puff." his mother said stern. "We haven't got all day, we have your grandmother's birthday to get back to" she said. "Oh right!" he said forgetting about it. "I think i rather have a pygmy puff because they are little and cuddly. I want something to cuddle with." he said making his mind. "Alright let's go to the Adoption Table and tell them." she said taking his hand so he wouldn't make any detours. |
Quote:
He wanted to argue her point about not joining them and being a third wheel but by the time he'd thought of insisting that she'd not be a third wheel, Heather seemed to have given the last word on it. Just as well. He told Ria everything and how embarrassing would that be FOR EVERYONE?! "Are you? Well that's interesting. I should've guessed that, actually. I must be off my game." She was doing that lip thing again and he was doing that thing where he tries to ignore it. "Pisces as well." "You seem happier somehow, Heather?" But it was indeed more of a question than an observation or a statement. And, his curiosity was all about wondering why, he did not for sake save face, dare to ask out loud. |
Quote:
She just wouldn't stop chewing on her lip. "I am," she said finally releasing the lower lip. "I forgot what it was like to feel. Now, it's all I can do. It was so overwhelming at first but I adjusted." Her reason why she had begun to feel again worried her a bit. Her teeth found her lip again and she just stared at the pygmy puffs. She sighed and closed her eyes. "I need someone or something to share it with. I'm not used to having all this emotion built up and with the walls I built around me I have no one to share them with." She wasn't particularly close with anybody and the person she longed to be close with wasn't anywhere to be found. Her hand twitched as if to reach out to Jasper, but she forced herself to place it in her pocket instead. |
Quote:
Her excitement over finding out this tidbit made him feel likewise excitement. He had tried to suppress it earlier with only the faintest acknowledgement, but something about sharing this much with her reignited his fever. He wondered if they had been born on the same day but decided he would reserve finding out such details for a time when he would fancy being quite shocked about something. Though, would he really be all too shocked after all of the other various ways they seemed to be connected? She was happy. That was good. Heather needed that. With everything that had been going on with her daughter, she needed that. "You look happier." Was all he said with a smile. His smile, though, died down gradually at the next thing that was said. He had thought that he might've been relieved to hear that Heather hadn't found someone to spend her excess time with. He wasn't. Plainly, it did not please her and if he was anything, if even only friend, it didn't please him either. Heather had wanted that, in was clear, instead she seemed needlessly alone. But it was nothing he had any armory to fight her on. She could throw it all back at him and it would only be too easily done. Not missing the twitch of her hand, Jasper mimicked by placing his own hands into his own pockets and with a gentle swinging of his elbow, lightly tapped against hers. "Let's go and fill out an application, h'mm?" |
Now, Jory was one of those students who missed Hogwarts terribly so seeing familiar faces pleased him very much. He grinned at Romanos, his thoughts journeying back to a few of her lessons. He always enjoyed the yoga even though he could sometimes be rubbish at it. "It's great to see you too, Professor. So how are you?'' Do you miss having me in your classes? Of course he didn't ask that one out loud. Hehe. Jory turned to Elwood. The subject she taught had been one of his favourites though he was not entirely sure how he excelled at it. It had been one of those he thought he would have done poorly at. "Great to see you too, Professor.'' Oh she had been away? "Did you have a great time there? So, you didn't get to have the usual amount of classes then?'' It was a good thing she didn't decide to go to Africa during his seventh year. He wasn't sure he'd like to be without his Divination classes. Or worse someone else filling in for her. Yep. Jory turned his attention to the kneazle. "I think that might be Ronnie's choice, too. I might get a crup...'' Which brought back the question, would he have enough time to spend with the creature? Hmmm. |
Ascanius liked kittens. Y'know the manly kind that curled up next to you 'round the fire and purred when you scratched them behind the ears. S'nothing too girly, he just liked the raw, testosterone that pulsed through a real man around kittens. Ahem. And since kneazles were the closest things to kittens Ascanius could find he'd just sit here and admire them. Them and their adorable, squishable, manly faces, yeah? |
Mackenzie walked up to the observation area and was immediately in a totally different mood than she had been all day. How could she not be.. PYGMY PUFFS she grinned as she looked at a pink ball of fluff, if you looked carefully you would have sworn that the puff was smiling back at the blonde. From that moment Mack decided that she really needed one.. and proceeded to the adoption table. |
Quote:
The pushing not so much. A kneazle. "Do we not already have one?" Or did they have normal cats? He didn't even know the difference. Was there one? There must have been otherwise they'd all be called cats. But they weren't. Oh. Wait. She was still talking. He blinked. A toad. "We're not keeping it in the house." Because they had a baby. And kids stuck things in their mouths. He did not approve of feeding Connor pet toads. |
Quote:

Quote:
He eyed the crups. People left their pets all the time home, right? Hmmm. that idea was a start to making a decision. |

Quote:
Destiny made a little mental note to sit Carter down later, later because she didn't want to embarrass him in front of all the people around, and have the differences between a cat and a kneazle talk. Like he didn't know Sly wasn't a kneazle already. The cat ate shoelaces. Still! Definitely not a kneazle. "So, if we have a kneazle, I couldn't get another one?" She was preparing herself. Preparing herself to ready the whining and the pouting. Then, when she was sure she made him feel bad for telling her no, she would then tell him they had no kneazles and she'd be able to get one. Because it would be funny. As for the toad, the toad she wasn't even sure she wanted just yet because she didn't have a chance to even look at them, she shrugged her shoulders and continued to puuuuush him towards the animals. Why was he so slow? "It can stay in the pond." With the plimpies. And the turtles. "But we'll have to make an extra special house for it so it doesn't get cold in the winter." It would be easier to keep it inside. |
Didn't see these posts o.o Quote:
How Callie wasn't taking it already was beyond her. Goodness knows, she would have ended up going home with a new pet if she'd come here alone. Quote:
Quote:
Oh? The kneazle had been claimed! Sorta. "Sounds like you haff some competition, Callie." Hehe. Nudge nudge. |
Quote:
Whoa. Wife. What was with the pushing? He tugged on the stroller just to make sure they didn't lose their baby. "Wait. Why do we need to buy a toad? Can't we just catch one?" |
Quote:
"No. No we do not have any kneazles." Destiny turned her face towards her husband to give him a HUGE GRIN before pulling him once more, until they were standing right in front of the cutest kneazles she had ever seen. Actually, all of the animals were the cutest she had ever seen. Why were they so cute? Why hadn't she talked Carter into letting her have three of them!? Why wasn't she showing Connor these animals!? "We don't have a kneazle yet." Because Connor hadn't picked one out yet, that's why. She moved herself over to the stroller, and picking her son up, she sat herself down on the ground right in front of the kneazle cage. She did glance at Carter, to let him know that they had to get one now, since Connor saw them, before turning back to the animals and making Connor point at them. She was going to let him pick out which kneazle to get. Buuuuut she was going to help a little. "We're not going to catch a toad." Connor made some kind of weird baby!talk, as if he agreed. "We can't take a toad from it's swamp home. That would be wrong." So, they would rescue one from it's cage at the adoption fair. "We could go catch an emu, though." Since there wasn't any of those to adopt. |
Quote:
... so... they were getting one. And they didn't have one. Good. So... ... yeah. There was that. "What would we do with an emu?" And why did he suddenly want to try catching one. |
Quote:
And Destiny hadn't thought that far to give Carter an answer. She had been expecting him to say no, because it seemed like he said no to every animal she wanted to bring home. Like a giraffe, for example. But since he hadn't said no.. yet, did that mean they could really get an emu? She shifted Connor a bit so that he was sitting on her lap instead, but he was still able to gurgle and laugh at the kneazles in the cage, before looking over her shoulder once more at Carter. Yeah, she still didn't have a good answer for him. "We could keep it in the yard? Or the stables. With the horses. Can we get a pony for Connor?" |
"Kurumi, we're NOT getting a pet baby dragon." Quote:
Lewis reached for Kurumi's hand again and started playing with her fingers absently, his eyes following the movement. Did he not want a crup? "No, I just...do we have enough room?" No, that didn't really answer Kurumi's question but that was the most prominent thought on his mind right now. They already had TWO cats and their apartment wasn't that big to begin with. And honestly, it wasn't like their family size would be shrinking any time soon. Vanilla still had a couple of years. Hopefully. No, she absolutely did. He shouldn't even be THINKING about that. His eyes flicked back over to the crups when Kurumi pointed out one of them. A particularly yappy one. Yes, of course they were cute. Lewis even took another step closer to get a closer look. "...I'm pretty sure they're happy to see you." Because honestly, who wouldn't be. Not that that settled their discussion on getting a crup of course. Nonetheless, Lewis lifted his gaze again to smile at Kurumi. |
Quote:
Walnut probably wouldn't appreciate another creature entering the home anyway. The transition with Vanilla had been hard enough on the feline. Now the two got along, more like tolerated one another most of the time, so adding a crup to the mix in such a confined space. Sigh. Yes, Lewis was right. He was usually right. Her cheeks flushed as she held the crup even closer to Lewis' face, allowing it to lick his nose. "He likes you," she laughed softly, letting the little guy get a few more good licks and attempted licks in before putting him back down. Her hand went back to Lewis', lacing their fingers together and leaning her head against his shoulder while she watched the crups play with one another. "There is...a lot of other things we should be focusing on now instead of a new addition," she sighed. Okay, no crup today. Maybe once Lewis finished his last year of study and after she finished her last year of work study. Which...brought up something that they still hadn't decided on. "We still haven't picked a date," she said, more thinking out loud than it being an actual statement. |

Wait...the person with Jory had his eyes on the Kneazle too? Callie looked from the boy to Medea and then back at the little kitten. She. Wanted. That. Kneazle. Now. "Oh well I hope he doesn't want this specific one..." side-look to her friend, "Cause I was just telling Med- Professor Romanos here that I was planning on taking him home today." There, decision made. |
Quote:
He thought about the emu proposition for a second. "Wait. Don't emus live... in the desert?" Maybe? Possibly. "And aren't ponies a girl animal? Plus he's not even walking yet." |
Quote:
She turned back towards the kneazles, and since it was oh so obvious that they were getting one, she pushed herself up off the ground and placed Connor back into his stroller. The baby made some more gurgling noises, which was their cue to leave. She didn't like the way he was drooling. Like he wanted to eat the cats. Not that she would tell that to Carter. "Ponies are just miniature horses." Sweet Merlin. They were going to have an Animal Planet marathon when they got home. "But fine. We'll wait until he can walk before we get one. We'll just get the kneazle for now." Before someone takes it. She gave her husband a little push towards the adoption applications. |
Quote:
Plus, koalas were super cute. He wouldn't even hesitate to get one if Destiny suggested it. Oh. And Connor was back in the stroller. ... and drooling. That meant there were going to do paperwork next, right? Woohoo. He got out of the pony thing. He really wasn't comfortable giving his son a pony. Couldn't he give the boy a normal boy thing? Like... a football... or a broom? Or, if Destiny insisted on an animal, something guyish like an eagle would be acceptable for him. "Where we heading now?" he asked as his wife pushed him towards... Oh. Yeah. The table. They were probably going there now that he thought about it. |

But Kurumi, think of the room. Think of the cats. Think of...well, everything. And then there was a crup in his face. Literally. It was even licking his nose. Lewis smiled and reached up to scratch the canine behind its ears. Or his ears rather. Was it a he? Had Kurumi checked? Before he could dwell on this thought any longer however the little crup had been put back down and Kurumi was leaning against her shoulder. Yes, new thoughts. Thank you. "A lot of other things...?" Lewis repeated with a confused look, giving Kurumi's hand a soft squeeze. Like what? Their life? Or was there anything particular Kurumi had in mi- Oh. Right. "No, no we haven't." Lewis replied, tilting his head slightly to place a kiss on top of Kurumi's head. Oh wait, did she mean to say that they should pick a date soon? Did she wantt o get married now? |
Joell XD "Come on Wadeee." Indiana Hutchinson pouted as she pulled her boyfriend along. She wanted to get to the animals faster, so that they could have a look. "Our new flat totally needs a new pet." Not that they like didn't have enough already. But they were gonna have a zoo. So they were okay with having lots of animals. She beamed as she looked up at him. "I wanna adopt a kneazle... or a crup" Something that was pretty. She was excited too. There had never been an adoption fair at Diagon Alley before so it was all nice and new. She looked forward, tugging him a long, before she squealed a little. "Kneeazles." She giggled, letting go of his hand, and skipping over to where the kneazles were. "Ooohh. you're so cuttee." |

"Kneazles are cute." They didn't have a lot of felines as pets, if you didn't include this kitty-tiger Wade. He grinned just as Indy had gotten a hold of one. "Yeah.." He approached closer, behind her where his chin just hovered over her head to look at them. "We should give them a name." Still smiling at the thought of having one run around the house. |
*pretends this isn't a billion years late* ... *looooooooooves* Quote:
Tracing over his skin with her thumb, she tore her gaze from the playing animals and looked at Lewis while the color rose in her cheeks. "We should do that," she nodded, color only intensifying further. Father had been asking her about it, but mostly her grandparents had been the ones pushing. They also wanted to make sure that there was a traditional Shinto ceremony performed, which was going to mean that Lewis would need lessons on how to sit formally and a whole bunch of other things. "I just...I want to take the next step in our lives together. With you." Even if it was just a piece of paper and they had already promised each other forever. |

Lewis had learned to pick up on little things like this over time. It meant that while she agreed with him, Kurumi still WANTED a crup. They didn't have enough room for another pet - especially not a crup - and while Kurumi seemed to understand, she clearly wasn't happy about it. Which, naturally, meant that Lewis wasn't happy either. He chewed on his lower lip, looking down at the top of his fiancée's head absently. A yard, yeah. They'd need that. For the crup. Hang on......YET?! "Do you....want to move somewhere else?" Like, OUT of their apartment? Was this a thing? Had he missed the memo or something? What? Was this something he should've taken care of? His eyes were a little wider than usual as he stared down at Kurumi with an expectant look on his face. Did she just want to move so they could have a yard which in turn would solve the crup-issue? Or did she want to move in general? Why did he not know about this? But first they should figure out when to get married, yes. That sounded like a good plan actually. They couldn't just stay engaged forever. Apparently. Lewis smiled at her words and turned slightly so he could take both her hands in his. "I do, too." The intensity of the words made him blush slightly, though his smile didn't falter. "I...don't...how long do you think it'll take to...well, prepare everything?" He didn't know these things. Was he supposed to know these things? WAS HE? |
*GASP* actually coming round to THAT conversation?! Quote:
She gave his hand another small squeeze before looking down at her feet. Well, not really her feet since her violet eyes lingered on her stomach for a few moments and she began to wonder... I do. She giggled at little at those two words, not entirely hearing the 'too' that followed. She was so ready to say those words in front of....who was it that would oversee this ceremony? She was suddenly hit with a wave of confusion over the whole wedding procedure and how to respect both their cultures. Her grandparents wouldn't have it any other way. Her mother's culture would have to be represented. Her mother would have wanted it that way as well, so it was also something that she, Kurumi wanted too. "I...am not sure either," she rested her head on his shoulder for a moment before looking up at him. It couldn't be all that bad, could it? "We could budget a little and hire a wedding planner maybe. Mother and father did that for their wedding." She rested her head back on his shoulder and watched the crups some more in silence for a while before the looked back up at him. "We should pick a date that means something to us." |
HOW WHY WOW I CANT.....really?! Quote:
..............................................OH. For a moment it felt like he was brought back to a situation a while ago when Treyen and Charles had been over to their place. And some of the things Charles had been saying had led to Lewis thinking that Kurumi was in fact pregnant. Which, of course, she hadn't been...wasn't but still. That had been the first time he had ACTUALLY, REALLY thought about them having babies. And it hadn't entirely left his mind since. "No." Wait, he should probably rephrase that. Lewis blinked a couple of times and then looked down again to stare at the top of Kurumi's head. "I mean, yes...I mean-" Actually, no WAS the correct answer, right? No, they wouldn't be alone forever. He blushed and wet his lips absently. Somehow his eyes had come to rest on her stomach too. "...I guess we should start thinking about moving out then." At some point in the near future. Not right now. Though THINKING couldn't hurt, right? No. Though they did have other things to think about right now. A wedding planner? Somehow Lewis wasn't sure if that was a good idea. It sounded wrong in a way to have someone ELSE plan such an important day in your life. "Do you...know anyone?" That would definitely be better than a stranger after all. "Mhm...." A date that meant something to them. "Maybe we should pick a...a season first though." Like, whether they wanted a summer, spring, winter or fall wedding. That sounded like a good start. |
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! *flaily flaily* Quote:
So, she stayed as she was. Violet eyes fixed on his face so that she would not miss a beat of his reaction. Was she insane for evening bringing this up now? They weren't even married yet - a prerequisite for her - and they both still had their own careers to think about and.... NO?! She blinked in surprise as she tried to both register and read what exactly that no meant. No more jumping to conclusions because that had nearly ruined his beautiful proposal. "So...you do want them then...eventually?" she smiled meekly. Moving talk had quite suddenly left her mind for the time being. As had the crups that were still frolicking about in front of them. She shook her head. "I...don't. I mean, Ella and Alice used to joke about planning our wedding," she laughed softly. Could hardly ask those to to pile planning a wedding on top of their duties at Hogwarts. Seventh year alone was stressful with graduation and NEWTs, but those two were also student leaders. "Do you...think we could plan it all ourselves? I-I mean...I don't know the first thing about planning a wedding, but I'm sure I could research it." She tapped her finger against her lip while she thought. "Spring. With lots of cherry blossoms." |
