Job Description:
Portkey Manufacturers are responsible for the creation and enchantment of objects used as Portkeys. These objects can range from everyday Muggle items like old boots or discarded newspapers to more magical artifacts, all of which must be discreetly enchanted for safe and accurate transportation. Manufacturers must ensure that these Portkeys comply with Ministry safety regulations and are calibrated to transport travelers to pre-approved destinations. Manufacturers work closely with Portkey Regulation Officers to inspect and verify that all Portkeys meet Ministry standards before they are released for use. A minimum of 4 OWLs/NEWTs is necessary for this role, with an 'E' or higher equivalent grade in the following NEWT-level subjects: Charms, Transfiguration, and Muggle Studies. Proficiency in advanced spellcraft and a working knowledge of both magical and Muggle items are required.
