| | |  'Goblet of Fire' Award Nominations & Considerations
'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' is being honored with nominations in several different award shows, as previously reported. Two more have come to our attention! Brendan Gleeson, who plays Mad Eye Moody, has been nominated for an award by London Film Critics in the category of "British Actor in a Supporting Role." The award presentation will be on February 8th, 2006 in London, England.
GOF is also being considered for another Oscar award. The Academy has placed GOF on a list of seven films for consideration in the category of "Achievement in Visual Effects." Quote:
Fifteen-minute clip reels from each of the seven films will be screened for the Visual Effects Award Nominating Committee on Wednesday, January 25. At this screening the members will vote to nominate three of the seven films for Oscar® consideration.
All nominations for the 78th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at 5:30 a.m. PST, in the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

Aww. I'm so happy for Brendan.  It's about time someone other than the two popular choices got nominated for something. He totally deserves it too. He was just absolutely fabulous.
And go GoF! Definitely great visual effects. The dragon scene alone should give it the award. |

wow!! that's great!! Brendan Gleeson definitely deserves it!! he was amazing as Moody!! perfect! the awards are being presented on my 18th bday lol..it will bring him luck!!
and I'm sorry, but GOF should hands down win Visual Effects..those were soo amazing..I can't imagine anything that could be better!! can't wait to hear the nominations!

thats sooo cool! an oscar! i did think this movie was far better in the visual effects than in the other 3.. and its also cool that brendan is winning an award, he was really good in acting moody's character of the 4th book..
