Welcome to GrapehGrape and I’s 100 Drabbles for the Protective Older Brother and the Rude Frenchman. The "Protective Older Brother" is in reference to my previous Ministry of Magic character, Asher Holden. And of course, the "Rude Frenchman" is in reference to Grapeh's Minstry character Pierre Devereux.

31. Dress Robes

"Why did you drag me along?" Pierre questioned as he rolled his eyes. He didn't want to spend a perfect Saturday in a stuffy small shop dealing with some old woman to get fitted for dress robes.

Asher smacked Pierre's head from behind, "You're my best man, mate. It's in the fine print at the end of the document."

Pierre rolled his eyes again.

"Will you not roll your eyes at the wedding?" Asher asked as he outstretched his arms so the old witch could pin.

Pierre snorted.

"Of course, that's not possible is it." Asher added, rolling his eyes.

64. Nap

Pierre had fallen asleep. Asher had taken forever to do whatever he was doing and Pierre could just not wait around anymore.

Asher walked into the room straightening his tie, “How do I look?” He spotted the napping Pierre. “Really? On the day of my rehearsal you’re going to take a nap?”

Asher proceeded to push Pierre off of the couch. “Was that necessary?”
“Completely. Now how do I look, lazy?”

“Fantastic,” he said rolling his eyes. He pulled himself back up on the couch. “Now that that’s done…”

Asher pushed him again. “I think it’s time to get up.”

59. Ignore

Pierre and Asher were sitting back to back cross legged on the floor, both quite irritable.

“What are you two pouting over now?” Ziva questioned sticking her head into the room, afraid to enter the room.

“You’re brother wants me to sing at the wedding.” Pierre growled at her.

“Only the hymns that everyone else will be singing.” Asher countered; he didn’t like to sing either.

They both let out a huff at the same time, Ziva shaking her head. “I’ll leave you two to ignore each other until you decide to grow up and compromise.” She said between laughs.

13. Quidditch

Pierre could not believe that he’d let Asher drag him to a Quidditch game. It was such a stupid sport!

“Don’t look so glum! It took a lot of effort to get these seats!” Asher slapped Pierre on the shoulder.

Pierre just grinned as Asher walked towards their seats. He did not want to be here.

It got even worse once Asher started to cheer loudly for whatever team he seemed to be supporting. Pierre just crossed his arms and stared ahead.

“What’s wrong Pierre?” Asher couldn’t see how he wasn’t happy. Quidditch was great.

“Quidditch is stupid.” Asher glared.

87. Plaid

Pierre seemed slightly nervous to Asher when he pushed over the extremely large box to his friend. “Go on mate, open it up.” Asher grinned.

Reluctantly Pierre opened the large box to find another box
.
It was the old, box-inside-a-box-inside-a-box and so forth trick.

Asher couldn’t contain his chuckles.

Finally, Pierre got to the final box, opening it up he pulled out a brand new suit.

“Why in Merlin’s name did you get me a pink and yellow plaid suit?” Pierre questioned his so called best mate.

Asher was on the floor laughing, unable to answer about the birthday gift.

19. Wand

“How many times do I have to tell you: I am not doing this!!!”

Pierre had really thought Asher had gone insane this time. There was no way that Pierre was going to entertain the rest of Asher’s family. No way.

“Really Pierre, it isn’t even that difficult.” All he would have to do was talk to them while Asher finished getting everything set for dinner. Pierre was lucky he was invited in the first place.

“I am not doing it. That’s final.”

“There is no reason to point your wand at me Pierre.”

Pierre huffed and left the room.

6. Divination
Christmas Mini-Challenge

Pierre had just pulled himself away from an extremely chatty old woman, a close friend of Asher’s from Greece that he couldn’t understand a word what she said.

“Happy holidays, mate.” Pierre said clapping a hand onto Asher’s back as he handed over a gift.

“Thanks, Pierre.” Asher said with a smile, he was slightly concerned as to what the gift was. They had pranked each other far too often over the year, anything could be in there.

Opening the gift up, Asher found a large Divination book. He gave a chuckle, raised the book, and smacked Pierre with it.

69. Slap

“Jamie is so great! I just can’t stop thinking about her.” Pierre had absolutely fallen for Jamie.

Asher sat there, his hand rubbing his forehead. Pierre had been going on like this for twenty minutes now. He really needed to be quiet soon or Asher was going to make him be quiet.

“We’re supposed to have dinner tomorrow. I want to wear my suit but I think she’s getting tired of them.”

SMACK!

Pierre rubbed his face where Asher’s hand had made contact with it.

“Sorry about the slap, but you wouldn’t be quiet.” Asher smirked at the disgruntled Pierre.

42. Portrait
Snowman Mini-Challenge

Pierre was stopped by some portrait of Asher’s ancestors who was chatting away. He had tried on several occasions to sneak away only to be called out.

Eventually having enough of it, Pierre just turned and walked away from the portrait.

The man yelled something, and Pierre looked back in time to see a large snowman running after him.

Picking up his pace, Pierre ran through the Holden mansion until he found Asher.

“MAKE IT STOP!”

“Not until you give me the secret word.” Asher told him with a wicked grin as the snowman continued to chase Pierre all around.

57. Gape
Halloween Mini-Challenge

It was Halloween and Pierre was really excited. It was definitely one of his favorite holidays. He checked out his creepy vampire costume and apparated over to Asher’s.

He knocked and waited for Asher or Chloe or Ziva to let him in. Pierre looked up as the door was opened. He gaped at the costume that Asher was wearing. He was speechless. For once.

“What?”

“Ash, why are you…wearing tights?”

Asher looked down at his clothes. “I’m Robin Hood.” Pierre burst out in laughter. “Yeah, well the vampire costume is kind of lame.” Pierre stopped. That was not cool.

43. Headmaster

Asher cleared his throat, the students became quiet. “Welcome to a new year!” He greeted with a smile. “We have a new Potions Professor…” Asher trailed.

Pierre suddenly became a bit anxious of what Asher was about to say. Though he couldn’t really stop him…he was the headmaster.

“He’s a good friend of mine; we’ve had many great years of pranks together.”

Pierre forced a smile at the students.

“Welcome Professor Devereux everyone!” Asher stood back, clapping along with the Hall. “Don’t be fooled by his vampire costume though.” Asher added on with a smirk.

Pierre glared at the “Headmaster”.

94. Allergic

“ACHOOO!!!” Asher could not stop sneezing today!

Pierre just kept staring at him like he was insane. It wasn’t Ash’s fault that he was sneezing this much. Maybe he had put on too much cologne…Whatever the reason was, this constant sneezing was just getting annoying. Plus, it was putting a damper on the wedding planning.

“ACHOOOO!” His sneezes just seemed to be getting louder and louder.

“Can you cover your face next time?” Pierre did not want to be covered in snot. Especially snot that wasn’t his.

“Sorry. I think I might be allergic to you, Pierre.” Pierre just scowled.

18. Whomping Willow

“What in Merlin’s name did you want to show me?” Pierre asked a bit irritated. He was enjoying a good potions book at home.

Asher dragged Pierre into the large backyard to the garden house.

“Look at her.” Asher grinned pointing to the small tree.

“Her? You named a tree that moves it’s branches around?” He rolled his eyes. Moving forward to look closer at the tree, it began to move faster swinging it’s tiny branches around.

“It’s a mini Whomping Willow!” He exclaimed, “Are you mad?”

Asher let out a growl. “She’s wonderful.” He said in the tree’s defense.

21. Veela

Pierre had no idea why he was sitting at yet another quidditch game with Asher. Today it was Bulgaria versus someone Pierre already forgot about because their were pretty girls dancing across the pitch. Maybe this wasn’t a horrible idea.

“Are you all right Pierre? Pierre?” Pierre didn’t snap out of it until Asher waved his hand in front of his face. “I said: are you all right?”

“I’m fine. Never been better.” Now back to the pretty girls…

Asher chuckled. “Get your jaw off of the ground. You have a girlfriend. Don’t let the veela make you forget that.”

30. Feast

It was the Halloween feast that evening, when Asher joined the rest of the school. On his left was Pierre, whom Asher could still picture perfectly in his so called, “vampire” costume.

Giving a chuckle he sat down.

“Got your tights in a wad?” Pierre asked in an undertone.

Asher shot him a quick glance.

“Watch what you say, you may not have a job at the end of the night.” Asher said smoothly as he looked out at his students.

Pierre gave a huff; of course he’d threaten him. “I still can’t believe you wore them.” Pierre commented.

84. Angry

Pierre looked at the limp plant in front of him. Moments ago, this thing had been beating him and now it was dead. Pierre was only trying to help it. He didn’t know what went wrong.

And then Asher walked in and spotted the dead tree. “What did you do to her?!”

He rushed over to the plant, without looking at Pierre. This was not going to end well.

“I gave it some growth potion and it did this.” Pierre was really nervous. He’d never seen Ash this mad.

Saying that Asher was angry was an understatement. He was furious.

5. Astronomy

“This star…is uh…well…” Pierre trailed squinting at the complicated star map before him.

Asher quietly sneaked into the classroom and sat in the back row, trying to not laugh.

“Forget the stars.” He finally told the class. “We’re done here, you’re free to go.” He huffed out after answering a few questions about the missing Astronomy teacher.

“You lasted two minutes longer than Divination, five total minutes. Well done.” Asher chuckled as Pierre stormed out of the class room.

“I’m never filling in again.”

Asher followed, “Even if it means you lose your job?”

“You enjoy this too much.”

16. Dragonhide gloves

Pierre looked down at the birthday present he received from Asher. Even though Asher was one of his best mates, sometimes his gifts weren’t the greatest.

“Come on now! Open it.”

Asher had the biggest grin on his face. He’d spent forever looking for the perfect gift for Pierre’s twenty-fifth birthday.

Pierre tentatively tore off the wrapping paper and then looked at the plain brown box. He pulled open the lid and smiled, glad it wasn’t some prank gift.

“Thanks Ash. How’d you know I needed a new pair of dragonhide gloves?”

“Because you’ve been complaining about it for weeks!”

35. Pureblood

“Seriously mate, you need to do something about those portraits of yours. I’m tired hearing about your family issues.” Pierre muttered to Asher after finally sneaking away from a talkative portrait.

Asher’s face went white.

“What?”

There was a long drawn out pause.

“What did they say?” He questioned.

“Something about not marrying a Pureblood Greek woman or something.” Pierre said cautiously.

“They’ll get over it.” Asher said, color returning to his face. He thought for a moment that the story of his parents had been told.

He trusted Pierre, but he couldn’t tell him that story yet.

99. Newspaper

Pierre flipped through the newspaper which was quickly snatched out of his hands by Asher.

“Hey! I was reading that!”

“Well, it’s mine. Anything interesting?”

Pierre glared at Asher as he thumbed through the pages of the paper.

“Well, there is this really interesting article in there.”

“Oh yeah. What about?”

“The new Hogwarts Headmaster. They have a picture and everything. Really ugly. I have no idea how the students will tolerate seeing him on a daily basis.”

Ash shut the newspaper and glared at Pierre. “I thought I looked great in that picture.”

“You can never look good, Ash.”

36. Muggle

Asher refused to respond but turned his attention to a small group of first years who were looking slightly terrified at the fact that some older students were wanting to sit with them.

“Seriously, it wasn’t that big of a deal.” Pierre snorted as he turned back to his food.

Asher let out a low growl type sound and turned to face Pierre. “Taking Polyjuice potion to turn yourself into what appeared to be a Muggle and then roaming the castle playing the part was NOT funny.” Asher told him.

Pierre let out a hearty laugh. “Sorry?” He laughed.

54. Dare

‘Asher is stupid.
And he smells like old lunch meat.
He is not too bright.’

Pierre looked over his own handiwork. It was really childish, but it was what Zi had dared him to do. Pierre could only hope that Asher didn’t recognize his handwriting. He placed the haiku on the coffee table and walked into the kitchen.

Moments later Asher stormed in, holding the parchment. “What is this?”

“A haiku. Like it?”

Asher just glared at Pierre who looked over at Ziva. He glared at her because she was laughing. It was her fault Ash was mad after all.

25. Sorting Hat

“Hufflepuff.” Asher speculated.

“Nah, Gryffindor.” Pierre countered. He gave a smile as the student was sorted into Gryffindor.

Ash: 2 Pierre: 4

They were just getting started.

“Ravenclaw.”

“Hufflepuff.” Pierre determined, he rolled his eyes when the boy was sent to Ravenclaw.

…

“Hufflepuff!” Asher exclaimed quietly.

“Slytherin.” Pierre said forcefully.

“Hufflepuff.”

“Slytherin.”

“Knock it off you two.” One of the older professors called from down the table. “He goes to Gryffindor.” She said wistfully.

The boys leaned back in their chairs, clearly not pleased with the ending score for that year’s Sorting.

Ash: 15 Pierre: 15

No one won.

2. Muggle Studies

Muggle Studies. Pierre could not believe Ash was making him fill in. He knew about Pierre’s experiences with that class and yet he still made him do it. And was the class learning about? Sports. And what sport were they supposed to be covering? Football.

“All right. The professor just left notes saying the I should let you guys practice. Apparently there’s going to be some mock game at the end of the week. Have fun.”

Pierre hadn’t noticed Ash walk into the class as the students went to work. “That’s your version of teaching? Not good mate.” Pierre scowled.

100. Homework

“Please tell me you remembered to shut the green house door.” Asher said stopping in the middle of tying his bow tie, eyes wide. That was the last thing they needed, one of the guest’s children getting attacked by one of the plants that was rebelling.

Pierre gave a groan. “Seriously, I haven’t had to do this much stuff leading up to your wedding then I even did homework wise in school. You’re the bridezilla of grooms.” Pierre whined as he left the room to check the green house door.
