The trophy room houses the various trophies earned by students over the centuries. From plaques with the names of Quidditch Cup winners to those who earned the prestigious Special Services to the School, all trophies are awesome looking and so shiny you can see your reflection in them!
Be careful if you're here to admire, or you might just end up polishing your own reflection over and over and over again if you damage any of these precious trophies.
The Trophy Room had become one of Maggie's secret hiding places over the past few years. She hadn't told anyone that she came here and so far nobody had found her yet. A few random first years had gotten pretty close last term but luckily for her they'd decided the room wasn't worth their while rather quickly.
Might have been because she'd sent a gust of wind their way but who was she to make assumptions.
Curled up with a blanket and a few pillows next to the trophy case with some of the Hogwarts Student Leaders, Maggie was engrossed in reading a Charms book. Her wand was in her lap, ready for her to grab should she hear someone enter. Right now, however, she was trying to figure out what to best practice the Confundus Charm on.

See, Amur wasn't really one for gloating. And trophies were gloating. But that didn't mean she wasn't curious. Curious to see what those at Hogwarts had to gloat over. If there was anything that was really worthwhile to engrave, plaque or mount. So far, from the beginning of the room to about the middle, walking slowly on soft padded socks, there had been nothing extraordinary.
The quiddich and gobstones trophies were the prettiest to look at, and quiddich topped it off for being most practical, but they still weren't groundbreaking. She wanted to see something groundbreaking. She was starting to fear for the worthiness of Hogwarts and it's contribution to meaningful and important life things.
Say for instance, freeing house elves. Or stopping the petification (yes it would now be a word) of dragons. Or the destruction of centaur habitat. Why wasn't there anything like this?
Amur stopped at the Student Leader's section, her nose crinkling, not noticing the bundle of a Maggie-person on the other side. All those people already had a badge. Why did they need a plaque too?

Maggie had set the book down by now and was practicing the correct wand movement. Okay, that didn't seem too hard. Although it also wasn't listed as one of the easier spells so she would definitely have to practice more in case they would cover it in class this year. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of her classmates after all.
She froze mid-wand waving when she heard footsteps. Pretty close to her too. Ugh. How had she missed someone coming into the trophy room? She was usually very observant. But it seemed like the wand movement had taken more of her attention than she thought. It had left little for multitasking and listening to her surroundings apparently.
Ugh.
When the person stopped right next to where she was sitting, Maggie briefly considered simply using the Confundus Charm on them. Like. That would be the perfect way to a) practice and b) make sure they didn't see her. But then again it could be a professor. And if the spell went wrong then...well, she'd be in trouble. So instead she carefully - and quietly - got out her pocket mirror and used it to be able to see who it was that was standing in front of the student leaders trophy case.
Oh. Amur.
Maggie snapped the pocket mirror shut again. Oh. No. So much for keeping quiet. Frowning to herself she straightened up a little, not really seeing any point in getting up or doing anything else. She would just have to own sitting on the floor by herself. Yep. That. She could totally do that.
It was the abrupt and rather distinct click that brought Amur's thoughts out of her brain and into the room proper. If she had ears mobile enough to twitch, they surely would have done so, but for now it would just have to be her nose and brows that did all the curious tweaks.
For a moment, Amur just stood where she was in silence, listening intently to the once-again silent room. Her brow furrowed. Was that......breathing?
Feet rooted to the spot, Amur leaned to the side and took a peek around the trophy display, noting first the bundle of pillows and then one piece of Arm Candy right on the floor. Well this was curious and, potentially deathly embarrassing. Say, if there was an Arm attached to the Candy. But a quick glance over said Candy person made it very clear that the Arm Candy was now just Floor Candy.
"Hey C-----Maggie." She did have a name. A name that Amur had to be sure not to forget under any circumstances that didn't involve private conversations with Zeke. A grin covered her slip up and she stepped around the trophy display so she could see the young girl better. "You look super cozy."
But this was the trophy room. So why be super cozy in here when there were places like Slytherin common rooms? Or did they not have a fire? Or was it too noisy? But then there was the library. But maybe books hurt people's brains? But Maggie had a book. What was the book about?
All of these thoughts and more surely displayed themselves on Amur's knitted brow as she tried to figure out which question she wanted to ask first.

She only had herself to blame that Amur had found her. And she couldn't even be rude to her and make her leave or something because like it was bad enough that her and Paige didn't really get along anymore. Maggie didn't exactly need any of Zeke's other friends disliking her. Siiiiigh.
Sitting with her legs crossed and the blanket on top of them, Maggie looked up at the other girl. The slip up didn't even really register with her so she just offered Amur a smile back. There. She could play nice. "Hey Amur." There. Using her name and everything. She really deserved an award. "I am." She should get her own trophy case in here.
And then silence ensued.
For a moment Maggie just continued to look up at the Gryffindor, waiting for her to say something. Only it seemed that she wouldn't. Well then... "What are you doing here then?" Because honestly, if the other girl had nothing interesting to say then she would rather like to go back to her reading.
This young woman seemed like one who valued words so much so that she didn't waste a single one. To the point. Direct. No chance of being misunderstood at all.
It made picking a question so much easier, except that Maggie beat her to the punch. But that was okay, because it was an opening, an invitation into conversation. Not that she wouldn't have found her own, but there was something more relaxing about it when the cozy-comfy-book-reading-party created it.
Amur's nose wrinkled at the thought of her answer. "I came in here hoping I might find an award of something of significance done here at Hogwarts." Her gaze went to the display by her shoulder, her nose wrinkling even more. "You know, like saving a magical race. Or inventing a new potion to cure the terminally ill. Or a new harvesting method to stop world hunger."
Okay, so those were quite the examples and she knew that the ministry worked on such big projects, but Maggie was smart. She'd follow along okay, right?
"But all I've found are plaques of things we already know, that really aren't that earth shattering. Head Boys and Girls. They already get a badge, why give them a plaque?"
Her gaze returned to Maggie, curiosity seeping into her expression. Her chosen question was gnawing through her mini-rant, and she simply couldn't restrain it. "But what about you? Seems a bit of a strange place to cuddle up with a book."

Dante was looking for the next quiet spot to finish reading his transfiguration textbook. It seemed like the library was not the place anymore. His hair was turned purple with magical polka dots. It whoever does that. It was quite the laugh for Hugo and Maggie in the common room. Though any of his friends would have laughed if they saw.
Maybe the Trophy Room since really who would even go in there. Just full of trophies.Dante wanted in and actually has impressed. These trophies were pretty nice. That is until he saw his brothers name under the Previous Prefects. Look at him immortalized in this school. Though he did see Nigel's band-mate also up there.
Anyway where was a nice corner to sit. That was the reason he was here.

Sam hadn't particularly been heading to the trophy room, but then she'd caught a flash of purple at head height disappear through the door. Was someone levitating pygmy puffs around? Needless to say, her curiosity had been aroused, and she'd quickly followed suit.
Two gasps escaped her as she peeped round into the room. The first, at all the shinies here; the second due to the fact the purple had a human body underneath and was also covered in POLKA DOTS.
Crazy cool!
"'ope yeh don't mind me askin'," she said, walking up to the boy. "But 'ave yeh got a pygmy puff on yeh 'ead? Nevver seen a dotty one before, s'all."

Just when he thought he would have peace and quiet a kid ruins it for him. Though this one he had no meet before. So it was kind of interesting besides the fact that he forgot to change his hair back and now people could ask questions like that. Though he would also be the one asking those questions. So it was all fair game. Karma and all that.
"This" Dante said pointing. "Is my hair that some person decided it was a great idea to change when i was napping. Here is a tip don't nap in the library. People will mess with you"
Just look at his hair. It looked like a pygmy puff now.
Go ahead kid, laugh. He was ready.

It was his ACTUAL hair? She stepped closer, and went up on tippy-toes in order to see closer.
So it was. Definitely NOT a pygmy puff.
"I fink s'pretteh cool, actu'ly," she replied, stepping back from invading his personal space for another look at the overall effect. "I fought yeh was jus' keepin' a pygmy puff up dere. Didn't know yeh could do cool stuff like dat." Or at least, other people could do it to him. "Less'n tak'n though."
Until she fancied a change of hair colour, at least.

"Me name's Sam, by the way."
So she wanted to see the hair. Well since he already pointed to it and said it was actually his hair. Sure why not. He lowered his head to give her a better view. Here see what napping in the library can do to you. Though Dante should have changed it back by now. He forgot.
Wait
"Really?"
She thought it was cool. That was unexpected. He thought he looked like a really big idiot. Though he was already one so it was kind of hard to be something you are not.
"You like pgymy puffs or something and i'm Dante"

"Mhmm," she confirmed. It's what she'd just said, wasn't it? "Can I touch it?" It was really rather fascinating. The purple, truth be said, wasn't all that unusual - she'd seen plenty of people with hair that colour at home, but the polka dots? Those were something special.
She shrugged. "I got one meself," a purple one for that matter, "but I ain't like, obsessed wiff 'em. We 'ad an explosion of 'em in the tower at the Claw parteh." Literally. Pygmy puffs and ferrets and puffskeins everywhere. It hadn't quite been the welcome party she'd expected. "Wondered if one 'ad escaped 'n' mutat'd."
She smiled. "Nice teh meet yah, Dante. Whut brought yeh 'ere?"

"Yeah you can touch it"
There was nothing special about it other than the polka dots. It was only hair after all. He could always cut it, change it to another color or change it back. Bu back to the point. So she did have a pygmy puff. Imagine if it was a purple one. The odds.
"An explosion of them at the your house party. Well that sounds weirdly awesome. If you don't have to clean up. We had a pit full of fake snakes at ours. But i got in trouble because of the food fight so i did not really get to enjoy it fully"
Dante shrugged it is it is. He only had to clean and did not have to worry about detention or anything. So it was water under a bridge or whatever the saying was.
"Mutated Pygmy Puff. That actually does dangerous. Imagine if that made them violent. Oh i was just looking for a place to read this book on animagi. But got distracted by trophies."
He was know interested in them ever since his girlfriend brought it up to him.

Should could? Sam smiled, and reached up on tippy toes to touch one of the polka dotty bits. It was kinda soft and well, hair like. She nodded approvingly.
"We did 'ave teh clean 'em up," Sam confirmed. "T'fings were ev'rywhere. The creatures professor 'ad to come fetch a load of 'em, though we were allowed teh keep one if we want'd. S'where mine's from." She wasn't sure what was worse actually, escaped rodent things, or a pool of snakes. "Real bitey snakes? Or jelly ones?" It was an important distinction.
Obviously.
"Not sure a pygmeh puff can be violen'," she commented. Too small and fluffy, no? "Yeh wanna be an animagi?" She'd seen a couple, and thought it was pretty cool. But yes, the trophies WERE distracting. "They're pretteh shiny, ain't they?"

See it was his hair. Just you know. And what they had to clean it all up even though it was not really their fault. That was terrible. But at least they got a to keep one if you know you liked the things. Which seemed like Sam did. "What color one did you get?"Why did Dante even care and what was going on.
"Well not tiny ones. I think they were rubber normal sized snakes"
They did look realistic if you were not fully looking at them. which is kind of cool. Animagi. Well he did not know if he wanted to be one yet. But the idea was in his head. So why not research. He might be an idiot. But at least he knew that much. "Researching right now. But it does sound cool" The trophies were distracting for a little bit.
"I was just reading the names on a couple, recognizing names and such. Seeing people i know or know of"
Don't know why he was doing it. But it was kind of interesting seeing how many names he did know.

"A purple one," Sam said with a smile, and wry nod at the colour of his hair. "Mixture of blue feh meh, an' red feh Dora." Who he might know, she supposed? But it didn't really matter either way.
Rubber snakes? "Okay. 'n what was the point of 'em?" At least their creature choas had been accidental, or at least it seemed to be. "Did ya 'ave to wrestle 'em?" Cos otherwise, she really couldn't see the point.
Animagi did sound cool to read about. She'd add it to her list for when she actually could read such books. She looked at him in amazement. "Yeh know sum of dese people?"

Well he did know of a Dora about she was gradated and one of his brother's friends. Says he is scary and always right. But seemed like her matched the color of his hair. Which is interesting in a weird way. She did have a good point about the rubber snakes though.
"Nah, i did not go in the pit. I was more interested in the food and seeing if my best friends hair was still red."
Because it was still hilarious every-time Dante thought about it.
"Prefect turned my best mate's hair red at the feast and it was soo funny."
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Yoongi had never been in the trophy room before. He never had a reason because why look at trophies that weren't even your own? This year however, the Head Boy had become curious. Having this badge now meant that his name would be on one of these trophies when he left and he wanted to see what they looked like.
As he walked around, looking through the glass cases and the trophies within he suddenly noticed something odd. Some of little Prefect shields from last years Prefects weren't in the right place. Had a mistake been made or were they just that careless about this at Hogwarts. Well, they did let a Hag teach Divination before she tried to eat them all so....it wouldn't surprise him...
As he looked at the badges from the Head Boy's, Yoongi smiled a little proudly to himself as he knew that his name would be there soon as well. And thats when he really noticed the strange doll near the back of the case. To whom belonged that ugly trophy? He walked around the glass to view the doll better but once he stood at the side....it was gone. He rubbed his eyes. He knew he was tired and stressed but he didn't think he would be at the state of hallucinations...
So, there wasn't a point to the rubber snakes? Or least, not an exciting one that persuaded Dante to go join in. It seemed a weird choice on the part of the Slytherin Head of House...whoever that even was. She couldn't remember. "We 'ad good food too. Roast'd marshmallahs."
What was it with him and his friends and hair colours? She tilted her head curiously.
"'n is it still red?" she asked. How permanent was such a change? She couldn't remember seeing anyone with red hair, as opposed to ginger, but there were a lot of people in the castle. "Do ya reck'n I could learn 'ow to do it?"
It'd be fun to play with her hair a bit more, especially since it being super short meant she couldn't really style it.

Roasted marshmallows did sound goo and he did not think it was Murdoch's idea to put the rubber snakes in the common room. Maybe the groundskeeper. He was a chill dude and might have been the one to ask for it. Dante did not really know and best to leave it a mystery.
"Nah it got turned back once i got back to the common room. It was a same. He is normally a blonde. So seeing him a red head was hilarious. Plus he is the Prefect. So i laughed even harder and yeah it is a simple color change charm.
Why was he helping this first year he had no idea. But yeah it was not like this was anything hard or requiring work. So he was fine with it.
"you just point your wand at the target and say Colovaria."
And was that doll always there behind the glass class because Dante did not remember it when he first walked in. but before he could even give it a sideways glance it was gone. Strange almost like the giggling he heard that time in the swamp with another first year. If anything this was just saying don't hang out with first years to Dante because strange stuff keeps happening

Curiosity brought her to the Trophy room today. Rachel had been told that Ravenclaw had not won either the House Cup nor the Gobstones Cup during the recent years and wanted to see how true this was. She stepped into the room and was immediately greeted with perfectly shined trophies and plaques.
As she strolled past them, she easily saw her reflection and couldn't help but be very impressed with the polishing. Whoever had done this had been especially meticulous. Rachel paused before the list of Prefects, however, to study the names there. She wasn't that interested in being prefect but she wanted to see if she recognised any names.

The Trophy Room--the room of GLORY! Ariadne had been meaning to come in this place since she'd started school here. She wanted to find the trophies or plaques with her parents' and siblings' names on there. Let's see...her dad had been the Slytherin Quidditch captain, her mom had been the Slytherin prefect and Head Girl, her oldest sister had been the Gryffindor prefect and Head Girl, and her next oldest sister had been Slytherin prefect, too. She thought that was all, unless you counted her extended family, and that just got too exhausting for Ariadne to try.
Secretly, she hoped to see her name in here someday!
Ariadne walked around the room in complete awe over the shiny goodness! This was a Slytherin's wildest dream--a room displaying proof after proof after proof of complete glory. She automatically began counting how many times each house had won the house cup. She was curious to see how Slytherin measured up. Ouch. They didn't look too good. Dang Gryffindors. Looking up, she happened to notice a familiar face she'd seen in all her classes since the school year started.
"Hey, Rachel!" she said. "Isn't this amazing? They're so pretty!"

"Hey, Rachel!" she said. "Isn't this amazing? They're so pretty!"
No, she wasn't familiar with lots of names here. So Rachel then moved on to admiring the impressive and rather well polished trophies and plaques there. Obviously there were some dating back years and years previously but they still looked as new as the ones added recently. Again she was impressed with the work done to keep everything perfect in the room.
Rachel looked about upon hearing her name. "Oh, hello, Ariadne. They are indeed. Look, we can see our reflections.'' Rachel giggled and indicated her own reflection to Ariadne before asking, ''Did you come to look for your parents' name?'' She was aware of who the other girl's parents were and their positions while they were students at Hogwarts, the latter thanks to the extensive list posted there.
