HISTORY:
Javier, or Javi for short, was born in Mexico City, Mexico. His father, Miguel, was a pureblood wizard working in the muggle world as a data analyst, and his mother Camila was a half blood witch from Brazil who was a homemaker. When Javi was only three years old, his father accepted a job as the Mexican ambassador to the Ministry of Magic of Great Britain and relocated the family to Edinburgh, Scotland. Ever since Javi can remember, he loved to read and learn, and dabbled in a variety of hobbies, mostly focusing on musical instruments. He loves music and can play the piano, flute, and the cello. He also enjoys sports, his Quidditch team of choice being the Holyhead Harpies.
Javier was sorted into Slytherin while at school. He was honestly very surprised by his sorting, as he always thought he would end up in Ravenclaw due to his love of learning. His desire to excel in his studies not only led to 12 NEWTs, but also inspired him to go to Wizarding University after school. He completed an undergraduate degree in Potions Research at the school in Edinburgh before heading to the London school to complete a graduate degree in Magical Forensics. After working as an apprentice at a potion making facility for a few months, he accepted a job as an associate professor at the Wizarding University in Paris, France.
Javier had only one serious girlfriend in his life - a Durmstrang graduate from Russia named Karina Skovski, whom he had met during his first year at University. Wanting to focus more on his career and not really seeing a future for them, however, he broke up with her before his relocation to France. About a year later, he heard through mutual friends that Karina had given birth to his child, a daughter. Javier was livid that he knew nothing about the child, especially when he learned that Karina had wanted nothing to do with the girl and surrendered her to a muggle orphanage. Javier quit his job only one year after accepting it so he could focus full time on hiring a muggle lawyer and gaining full custody of his daughter. After months of legal headaches, Javier was granted full custody of his daughter, whom he named Camila after his mother. He gave her a Russian middle name, however, to give her a small tie to her mother's roots (despite how much he wants to pretend she doesn't exist). While he has tried to reach out to Karina and offered her visitation, he has not gotten a response from her.
Without a job to support himself and his daughter, he moved back in with his parents and took a job at the Ministry. After saving up money during his first year of work, he moved out to a flat in London with Cami, who attended Muggle childcare facilities while Javi was at work.
Javi thought he had met the love of his life in the year of 2100, and had planned to marry her and move together into a new house in the English countryside. However, a terrible falling out occurred and at heartbroken Javi quit his job abruptly and moved to Brazil with Cami. At the Wizarding University in Brazil (located in Brasilia) he was once again teaching his first love - potions. After a few years, he finally felt like his heart had healed enough and he could move back to London, particularly because he missed his family terribly. He got a job in his old department at the Ministry just so he could make some money, while always keeping an eye out for something better.
Camilla was set to start her schooling while they were in Brazil, but Javier decided to homeschool her instead of sending her to Castelobruxo as he knew he was likely going to be returning to London soon, and didn't want her to get attached to the school only to yank her from it a year later. Once he was settled back in London he planned to homeschool her for one more year before allowing her to attend Hogwarts - he'd heard about the whole "possession" thing from his colleagues and decided he'd keep her around one more year just to be safe. It was a good thing he did, because the Neo-Alliance took over Hogwarts that year and he found himself at the school grounds fighting against them at the Battle of Hogwarts. Cami was allowed to attend the next year and was sorted into Ravenclaw.
Javier is not a particularly talkative person unless you get to know him. He is often short and to the point, and easily irritated. Many of his closest friends have referred to him as "grumpy" which is a pretty accurate assessment of his mood most days. However, once you break down that wall and become close to him, Javier is extremely loyal and protective of those he cares about. As far as his teaching style goes, he has a set of rules and he expects them to be followed - and he doesn't have a lot of patience, so pushing his buttons is NOT recommended. Potions is serious and you could get hurt if you're not paying attention, hence why he takes his classroom rules so seriously. After his first term he took on the additional role as Groundskeeper - the private cabin was an added bonus - and after his second term, took on a third role as Slytherin Head of House.
OTHER FUN FACTS:
-Often very particular about what he eats since he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease during his final year at Hogwarts
-Hates cats, but unintentionally adopted one that wandered into his parent's house and won't leave. His name is Pepper and he loves him
-While posing as a muggle during the legal battle to adopt his daughter, he became obsessed with Muggle football. He now follows the Mexican National Football team.
-Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Russian.

{The History}
Fynley’s parents had met on a safari in South Africa after graduating from their respective schools (Ilvermorny & Beauxbatons) where they had chosen to spend a year out travelling. After a couple of years long distance dating, Killian moved over to the UK in order to attend University. Fynley was born in his Mum’s hometown of Chichester in West Sussex on a particularly wet and windy February day, five years after his parents met and just ten months after they married.
From the age of 5, Fynley attended Wizarding Primary in the UK where his confident personality allowed him to make several friends. At the age of 10, Fynn was informed that he would be moving to the US with his family as his dad had got a job at MACUSA. Annoyed to be leaving his friends behind and unhappy at being the strange foreign kid in a new school, Fynley was judgemental about his new life. Thankfully, as time progressed the boy became less reserved and despite not being academically minded, enjoyed his time at Ilvermorny. He particularly loves sports and joined both the Quodpot and Quidditch teams although his preference lies with the latter.
In June 2110, Fynn was informed that his dad had decided to leave MACUSA and freelance again to allow his wife and children to move back to their birth country. Fynn was once again annoyed to have to upheave his life and start all over again at a new school especially as Hogwarts had always been his preference anyway.

Edric was born to a young witch named Sienna Jackson on a cold winter's night in 2093. His mum had met his father in the elitist wizarding party scene, and neither particularly wanted anything to do with their child. Neither adjusted their selfish lifestyles to accommodate young Edric, either, who quickly became a pawn in their back-and-forth game.
After these rather nasty custody battles when Edric was too young to understand, the young Cambridge ended up with his father's family, as his mother was deemed unfit to parent him. Instead of being raised by his father, who only visits him a few times a year, Edric spent most of his early formative years under his great-grandparents' watchful eyes. The Cambridges instilled in him a sense of family pride, pureblood values, manners, and the like, although they were hardly what one would describe as warm-and-fuzzy parental figures. Edric enjoyed having the run of the large Cambridge manor and grounds, although he did have a lot of alone time and more than a few imaginary friends. He also bonded with several of his rambunctious cousins, his favourite (by far) being Emmerson Cambridge, who was only two years older than him.
When he was about ten and half, and just learning to play with his budding magic, Edric was shuffled around the family again and this time taken in by a cousin: THE Alexa Cambridge. THRILLED to have younger guardians to impress, and his favourite cousin to play with, Edric swore to himself to be the best kid he could be for them. Or at least... he'd try. Edric is used to adults disappointing him and not used to being wanted by them. He has a hard time trusting anyone but is so, so desperate to feel a sense of belonging and to have a proper, close-knit family of his own.
Also, he's been at Hogwarts since he was eleven, likely zoning out and learning nothing of value at all. So feel free to pretend like your character knows him!

Xavier is the proud son of Seth and Peyton Dos Santos. He wears his surname like a prized badge over his heart, and his mother’s surname like gold in his pocket. Despite not parading the Baltazar name like his sister, Xavier has come to learn when to wear it. His pride extends to the way he handles himself in public. His entire-self presentation is always impeccable, not a hair out of place, not a piece of lint on his clothes. He is the spitting image of wealth, ancient noble blood, and a heritage of power.
He is an old soul well versed in history, languages and physical combat. He is a natural at flying, a fast learner and a keen observer. This serves him in constantly being top of his class, as well as learning how people react and behave, thus giving him advantages when tries to dig in his manipulative claws. Being the only male born in his family, he is aware of the old, sacred traditions he inherited upon his first breath, and knows that a lot is expected of him. Despite his mother's assurance that he can be a normal boy, Xavier has a thirst for power, for constant control.
Being a perfect 50/50 split of a Dos Santos and Baltazar union, the young wizard inherited his father’s stoic, cold features. A stare from his cold pale eyes could freeze bones; a sharp smirk slices like fine steel. From his mother, he inherited the natural charm of a Baltazar and the beauty. You mix these things together and you get a wizard who has the ego of a dragon, who can make people feel like he’s their dearest friend, who mentally wrestles with morals, who can turn charm on and off like a switch; a wizard who can go from angelic to terror within seconds. An angel in disguise. Xavier became aware of this special skill from a young age, and the more he learns to wield it, the more he uses it to his benefit.
Weakness is something Xavier repels from, but is aware everyone possesses them. His constant drive to be in control sometimes causes his downfall, especially when it comes to his emotions. He obsesses over trying to untangle them and make them right. He fears that in losing control he becomes vulnerable. Due to his lack of the social skills to be soft and understanding, he is uncomfortable around emotions and people who excessively express them.
