I just wanted to remind everyone that SnitchSeeker will NEVER prompt you to download anything. So, if you ever have something pop up while you're browsing SS asking you to download something you didn't purposely choose to download, DO NOT DOWNLOAD it. Occassionally we have malicious ads weasel their way in through the filters we apply to our ad servers to prevent these sorts of things from happening and I don't want anyone to get infected with anything because of it.
It has been brought to my attention that another one of these ads has popped up and we're taking steps to have it removed. I apologize for the inconvenience and highly recommend you run a virus and adware scan if you have downloaded something. Even better: get yourself an ad blocker so you don't have to deal with it anywhere ever again.  | |

Sooo, yeah, sadly enough, the virus got my computer good last night. I didn't even accept it/download it. It just popped up and then took me to a weird website, My AOL locked up, and it wouldn't let me go anywhere else.
My laptop is currently at the hospital (aka Circuit City) being revived, though. As a matter of fact, I had been thinking of getting a new computer ANYWAY, so instead of getting the virus removed (McAfee, my virus scan, wouldn't remove it), I just got a new one. My friend paid to have the virus removed, and she's just going to take over my old computer.
I'm using my mom's laptop 'til my new one is ready to picked up tomorrow.

ive been having trouble lately , sometimes when i try and get onto SS a pop up comes up about anti virus software and re directs me from the site, meaning that i cant get on here. Sometimes it does that and will keep doing it for like half an hour then itll be okay. Its strange, and its been happening for the past two days. Its probably my stupid computer but this is the only website that acts like this ....
Is this the problem your talking about ... or is this something different ...
