Zombiewood Weekly, The Celebrity Death Exposed, a spoof of the weekly Hollywood tabloid, takes the tackiest stories published in magazines, and, simply put, Zombie-fied them. The "issue" mocks the biggest stories about celebrities cheating on their spouses, drug-addicted starlets, and the latest in the undead version of Hollywood.
The book is not for the faint of heart. Anyone who has see the most gruesome zombies in television and films will know that they have rotted flesh and exposed guts and bone. Such images are featured throughout the issue, where photos of celebrities were altered to become Zombies - with green-tinted skin, brains falling out of skulls, and body tissues come out of every open orifice. Even photos of actors and singers grinning brightly is rather frightening under the guise of rotting flesh and blood oozing from their faces and bodies.
Even still, there is a dark humour to the magazine, for those who are willing to get past the horrific photos. It's as though the magazine pokes fun of the vicious and cruel world of Hollywood, where celebrities' inner-most secrets are exposed. Only this time it's more physical than emotional.
If you've got a weak stomach, stay back. If you're a lover of horror films and zombies (sort of like the Inferi from the
Harry Potter books),
Zombiewood might just give you a bit of a chuckle.
