Video: Jude Law comments on 'Fantastic Beasts' Dumbledore casting, hope to meet J.K. Rowling

Jude Law commented for the first time about taking on the role of Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts film series, this past Tuesday evening while promoting the opening of his new West End stage production of Obsession at The Barbican Centre in London (tickets available here).

To no surprise, Law's first interest and target was of course Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, with whom he would love to meet so as to dig deeper into the inner workings of the younger version of Dumbledore in the next four Fantastic Beasts movies.

The sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will hit theaters in November 2018 and stars Law with Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, and Johnny Depp.

I'm sure he will meet her... and I have no doubt he's going to make an incredible young Dumbledore with all the information JK Rowling will provide him... I'd like to be a little ladybug to be there when it happens.

well im REALLY excited to see Jude's version of Dumbledore. i mean it cant be easy for him, theres been 3 versions of the most revered character of the entire series. but i know he's got the chops to pull it off, im just really super eager to see it already
