Member Of The Month Proudly Presents! Maxilocks [Maxilocks was known as SenoritaMaxie at the time of this interview]
Today, on Member of the Month, we're heading to the far corner of the earth. Why, you ask? WHY? Why are you asking, I ask. Because we're going to be seeking out that ever-elusive, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed (so many adjectives!) SenoritaMaxie, that's why!
*peers out from behind a tree* *eyes you* Oh, HAIII there!
D: WE HAVE BEEN CAUGHT. ABANDON QUEST, ABANDON QUE-
...
Oh wait. Someone's just told me that SenoritaMaxie's don't attack on sight? *eyes* Is that truuuuue? Well, I guess you get to find that out, now. *sharpens claws*
Psstt ... they're plastic ones. But don't tell anyone.
Oooooh. We won't tell the audience. It would ruin the realism of the show. *climbs a tree* SO. Predator SenoritaMaxie. Would you care to tell the captivated masses a bit about yourself? Yes, we must not tell ... them. THEM! Over ... there. *eyes the audience and sharpens claws a bit more*
Well ... I am a student, on my way to be an engineer. I love social work, am involved in a lot of it, and have a thing for maths. Yes, maths. I'm a very happy sort of person, and I love shiny things! *sharpens shiny clawww*
lol ewwwwww math. *is bad at math* =D Yay for being a happy person who likes shiny things though! Shiny things are the best. *magpie* No! You shall not dislike maths! *flips hair and wriggles shiny claws* Wait ... how does one wriggle claws, anyway? O_O
Come here, child, I shall ... teach you how to solve the quadratic equation.
-innocent whistle-
I kinda remember that from high school... a bit. Man it's been too long since then. xd I'll remember eventually! I swear!
I think it's just like wiggling your fingertips? I imagine it that way. *nodnod* Oh. Oh wait, interview, right. Uhm... How long have you been a member on SS? The claw shall make you remember! *insert oh-so-evil laughter*
Right. Interview. -wonders what that is- I joined SS back in '06, which means this is my fourth year here. MY GOSH! MUMMY! I AM FOUR YEARS OLD! *throws a happy tantrum*
D: Gosh we're getting old. OLD OLD OLD. How did you find us, if I may ask? 'Twas a little bird that told me about it and no, it's not in my tummy. *hides claws* Well, it was actually a t-shirt. That, and a cousin who was a member. I mostly joined because SS looked a lotta fun. ^.^
Ooooh, your cousin had an SS teeshirt? Awesome! *wants one* So your cousin got you here, but what made you stick around? Which parts of the site caught your attention? Well ... she might. -wants you to believe she did not steal it-
xD
I was at the TP a lot, when I joined first. It really was unlike anything I've ever seen before. I mean, there were all sorts of crazy people who actually reminded me of ... ME! xD
.. and, of course, there were the FFs. I love to write, and SS gave my creativity a healthy outlet. I love how I can always click on an SS FF, and not have to worry that it will contain something unhealthy.
D: Thievery!
The TP is one of my favourite places on SS! I used to hang out in there a lot too. The people ARE really fun, aren't they. ^___^ And a fellow writer! I've seen that you do that a lot, writing. Ficlets and stuff too, right? You're... I think an SS100 Triumphant? Nuuu. I good, AMEHHH! *tries to convince you*
I miss the TP. When I joined SS, I used to have a lot of free time on my hand, so I was there pretty much everyday. Life's a lot busier now, but I still have some really special memories, from those days. *loves*
And YUSH! I love to write. Have been an SS100 triumphant seven times now. *hugs the SS100 and SS50*
SEVEN TIMES? D: Oh my goodness, you write so much! I'm far too lazy for that. And I know what you mean about life getting busy. *nodnod* it happens to everyone, sadly.
So you like writing... which goes hand in hand with reading! =D What kind of books do you like, who's your favourite author? I have yet to see a good writer who isn't, or hasn't been, a better reader.
I love too many authors to list them all, but I adore reading the good ol' classics, and have a special fondness for Charles Dickens, because he was the first proper author whose work I read. I read a lot of John Grisham, mostly because his work is really engaging. Great bedtime read! Even though it tends to drive all sleep away. xD
I think my father reads John Grisham. And yay for classics! they're always lovely, and comforting when you want something familiar. You just gotta be careful to not read scary things before bed! *learned from experience*
Hehe. I used to read Goosebumps and scary[er] stuff, when I was much smaller-ish. I usually ended up all frightened, so my parents thought it fit to dispose of my massive stash of horror stories. xD I laugh at those books, now. Chilhood scares. =D
I think all of us have read something or watched something just before going to bed that caused us to have nightmares or not be able to sleep. Speaking of watching things... Movies? TV? Things like that? You're a very busy person, but do you have time for them?
I don't watch a lot of television, to tell the truth. But I do love to watch movies. They're my hot chocolate, when I get too exhausted - they sort of revive me. I watch pretty much every genre, except for horror. That doesn't really appeal to me.
O___O I don't like horror either! *clings to you* Gory stuff and horror scare me too much. What's your favourite movie? =D
Yush, I no like scary stuff, either. *tries to hide claws*
I don't know if I can pick. But I love Labyrinth. It's an oldie, but it's one of those movies I've never been able to forget because I was really small when I first saw it, and it just made a huge impression on me. I wouldn't be too impressed by a movie like that, if I saw it now, but there are some things that click with you, when you're all young. I love Titanic, too! I haven't watched it in a long time, but I recently saw Avatar, and that reminded me of it. It's such a lovely watch.
I've seen Labyrinth, actually! It was really good. The storyline always kinda... makes me giggle, for odd reasons.
Titanic was one of the first big movies I remember watching. It made me cry. o____o It also spawned my love for Leonardo Di'Caprio. Ohhh, I do love him sometimes. hehehe
It made me go all wide-eyed, when I watched it for the first time. Now I can enjoy it with a bunch of cookies. =DD
Oh man, Leonardo Di'Caprio. You can't help loving him. Though I think my whole 'relationship status: Leonardo Di'Caprio fangirl' might have something to do with how great Titanic is. Avatar's good too, but Titanic is ... Titanic. -can't find a comparision-
Titanic may be soppy but it's a lovely, lovely movie. A long one, too. o_____o It's one of those with a really good soundtrack to it too, Celine Dion's song always has me singing along.
'My Heart Will Go On' is my mum's favourite track to this day. It reminds me of shiny things, for some reason. And shiny things are ALWAYS good. *tries to hide claws again*
SHINY THIIIIINGS. *still a total magpie* What kind of muuuuusics do you like, pray tell, thee with the shiny fixation?
Well, that depends on my mood! I listen to pretty much anything, if it has good lyrics and a catchy beat. BSB is, like, my all-time favourite band. They are THE BOMB! I also listen to a lot of subcontinental stuff. I love South Asian music. <3
I liked BSB back when they still had Kevin. And South Asian stuff, huh? Hot. South Asian STUFF? Well, we do have cute boys. =pp But I mostly meant music. xD
Pretty boys are ALWAYS a plus. Alwaaaaays! *shakes fist* And I... have forgotten what I'm supposed to ask next. o____o *resets brain* I wish there was a real-life Draco in the picture, though. Gosh, he is HOT. -is in love-
*takes mike and climbs up tree after you* Nooo nooo, I'm not going to eatchuu, child. So ... AMEHnator! Do you like eating cheese with chopsticks? *emphasis on the EATing bit* -shifty-
Draco is my favourite! D: I love him. He's yours too? hehehe we can share.
O________O stay down there! Down! DOWN PREDAT- eeeeep. Cheese with chopsticks? I can't say I've ever, but I eat lots of cheeeeeeeese. I love Draco! I mean, THAT is what you call smexy.
I want a Draco. <3
I'm a VERY good predator, AMEHnator. Really. In fact, the only reason I have claws is to eat you cheese. *hides claws behind back* But yay cheese! We share a love for that.
D: I didn't realise that SenoritaMaxies could climb trees, I'll have to make a note of it... minor oversight! Minor! *climbs higher* Since we're on the topic of Draco though, I think I never asked... how did you get into the HP fandom in general?
We can fly, too. *is such a liar* It's in 'em claws.
Oooh, HP question! My cousin took me to see movie number one, a long, long while back. Let's just say I wasn't exactly very good at English, then. But the big, speaking hat and the boy with the glasses stuck in my mind. xD I read the third book, a couple of years after that, and fell in love with it - found it a lot better than the movie stuff, actually. No turning back, since then.
So we prefer the books to the movies then, even though the movies were your lead-in?
Yush, definitely. To tell the truth, I love the first two movies. They really stuck to the books. I understand how film and paper are two different media, and you obviously can't make the movies exact copies of the books, but then I look at the Lord of the Rings, and realize that, in a way, you can. Long story short = the books are a lot prettier.
Maybe because they leave so much more to the imagination?
The first two movies were definitely a bit more on than the rest of them. I went with my mum, and the only thing I remember pointing out was when Snape's Chamber was missing. And to be fair, Lord of the Rings is missing a bit too. The first book was cut a lot. Tom Bombadil was entirely removed, and other little things went missing and stuff. But they did do really well with them. ^____^ The books are definitely, definitely superior, but I think with both, you can maximize your experience? =D
Lord of the Rings is missing a LOT, to be honest. But the thing is, when you see those movies on the big screen, they somehow manage to capture the magic, all the same. I don't know why, but I feel that the Harry Potter movies fail, there. The Lord of the Rings movies are sort of "as grand as you can get," even if you have read the books. The HP movies, on the other hand ... are not?
I completely know what you mean. The HP movies don't really measure up to the Lord of the Rings ones very well. Maybe the Deathly Hallows ones will? They're splitting the book into two movies, so... maybe?
*hopeful*
I would have a preffered one movie, even if it were four hours long. I really don't think their priority is sticking to the books. Maybe the money? *climbs higher up tree to reach you* -innocent whistle-
lol well yes, money is probably a priority there, but at least this way they'll be able to put more in AND not have some beings going "D: FAR TOO LONG, MY REAR HAS GONE NUMB" or something. *climbs hiiiiiigher* Stay away stay awaaaaaaay!
I guess. Maybe I can watch one after the other, once both of the movies are out. -likes that idea-
Nuuu! I come to eatchu, child. I mean ... *tries to think of an innocent word that rhymes with eatchu*
Child? *eyes* I am no such thing! *throws coconuts* COCONUTS! *grabs one and eyes it* What a curious thing, this ... co-co-nut.
Is it a ... ve-geee-table? *takes a bite*
Bite it. Biiiiiiite. Hehehe.
Hmmm. Before you eat me... I think we should finish this interview up.
Nuuuu. I think we should THROW MORE COCONUTS!
D: But they're HARD! You threw some at me. *throws a tantrum because you threw a vegetable at me*
>.> You're trying to EAT ME. I have to throw things, to LIVE.
I was only trying to get a hug. =[ *goes to sit in a corner*
You have CLAWS though. =[ They're SHARP. Nuuu, they're shiny. PLUS, they're mad of plastic. But you're still not allowed to tell anyone that. Except HIM. Over THERE. *points at random co-co-nut*
*whispers secrets to coconut man* Ooooh. o___o I almost forgot we were INTERVIEWING. I think we should... wrap it up, yeah? So we can go hug Mr. Coconut? YUSH! That!
-wonders what an interview is, but agrees with you to look all wise-
We should.
Do I get to ask you a question, though? Because I want to. And because we both like cheese and orange pillows. <-- *has made that last part up by myself*
You can ask me ONE. And then I have to ask you the very very last one. Okay? *prefers green pillows, actually* Hokai! *prepares coconut boat so she can sail away, if the question's too tough* Well, if you had to pick between Draco and Draco, who would you pick? Me, right? Okay, seriously though ... if you were deserted on an island, and you had to pick between a computer with an internet connection, and a nice, comfy house, which would you choose? -asks everyone that because she's a curious kittyy-
AND! Why do you prefer green pillows? xD
...you mean nice comfy houses DON'T always come with computers?! O_____O *brain implodes* I would take the computer and internet connection. I can BUILD a house. Coconut trees FTW!
and I prefer green pillows because green is my favourite colour. It always has been. hehehe
NOW.
I ask YOU.
Our last MotM wants to know: What would you like to see on SS and how would you help to make that happen? They come with queen-size beds and pretty, white couches. -loves-
... and there are no co-co-nut trees on the island. Only ... *doesn't want taa scare chuu* Well. Only.. REESE MONKEYS! <-- yes, they exist.
Umm, that's such a toughie. SS is already awesome. But, since I love to write, I guess I would LOVE to see some more events where you get to ... you guessed
it, write. =pp I'm not sure how I could help but, if someone wants that, I do have a lot of ideas. They're just sort of hazy. xD
Oooh. I'm sure the Fanworks mods would love to hear that suggestion. They probably have ideas for stuff. ^____^ But... well sadly, our interview is ending. The only thing left is for you to give a question for the next interviewee. Speak directly and clearly into the camera now, as it'll probably be someone else interviewing them, since... you'll probably eat me after this. ._____. OOOH! How didja know my plans to eatchuuu?
Okay, gimme a minute to think up a question that does not involve coconut vegetables and green pillows.
FASTER FASTER! Okay! I have THOUGHT! Next Member of Ze Month, you lucky child, YOUUU. If you had to choose between a coconut vegetable and a green pillow, which would you pick, and why?
D: That's the question. Yush. And now for the grand fi-neh-leeee, we haveeee ...
*eatschu*
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD= OHMAN. *finishes up quick* Thanks for tuning in Snitchseekers, I hope you enjoyed this interview with the Predatorial SenoritaMaxie, and I hope to see you next tiiiii-

And, if everyone means everyone including me, I'd choose the computer, so I could contact people to rescue me! I could talk about the weather and animals and maybe they'd be able to pinpoint where I am.

I would, too. Like AMEHnator said, one can build a house. Not to mention, the internet would let me contact my family, and tell them I need help and stuff. Hehe. =D

It is not! I want to watch it again, but I can't because it's not available here, anymore.
