"Sure thing." Carter said. "Ice cream sounds great." he said looking around for the house elf that... well, wasn't there any longer. He then led the way out of the kitchens and toward Hogsmeade.

Fia marched into the kitchens from her common room. She was hungry and UPSET! She was not being nice and pushing Miles away seemed to be the thing she was trying to do but couldn't do it completely. She was angry with him. FURIOUS! And now the question was, was he even going to show up or was he that angry with her too. She paced the floor, first reaching for a cookie and shoveling it into her mouth and then....she needed chocolate and fast.

Miles had stayed in his bed for a good five minutes after receiving her owl. He didn't know what to do. It felt like...well like he was losing his best friend. Maybe going out with her wasn't the best idea in the world after all. Not if it meant that whatever this jealous thing of hers was, was pushing them apart. Staring up at the ceiling he pulled out his diary and after another few minutes closed it and stuck it in his hiding place. He had to go. He couldn't NOT go. Looking around he slipped out of bed and grabbed his robe and slippers and snuck out of the dorm.

Reaching the kitchens he wrapped his robe tightly around him to fight off the cold and walked in. He spotted Fia pacing around and eating sweets. Leaning against the wall and holding his robe closed around him he watched her not saying a word. He cared about her. He hated being mad at her but what she was saying...was absurd. He never asked her to like Brody but he did as a friend and she should respect that...in his mind anyway.

Fia stopped pacing and her feet were planted firmly to the ground. Was she acting terrible? Yeah! She would be mad at herself for acting this way too but was it so hard to see her side of things? She closed her eyes and sighed long winded-ly. She'd never been a jealous type before but there was just so much she wanted to say but couldn't. Picking up five more cookies and deciding that he was not going to show up, she turned to go back to her room as tears filled her eyes.

"Miles," she spoke with a whole cookie in her mouth and some of it spitting out. She really wasn't planning on speaking and milk would be a good thing here.

Miles watched as Fia stopped pacing and seemed to be thinking. Why did things have to be so hard when they weren't before? It didn't really make any sense to him and..it worried him. As she turned toward him with a ton of cookies in hand he could see a sheen of what looked to be tears in her eyes and he swallowed.

Hearing her say his name with a mouthful of cookies made him shake his head to stop himself from laughing and he walked past her toward a refrigerator. Opening it he pulled out a jug of milk and searched for a glass. Pouring a glass of milk for Fia he handed it to her with a simple, "Fia."

Her watery eyes looked down to the glass of milk he was handing her. Don't blink! Donnnnn'tttttt blinkkkkkkk. She tilted the glass back and before she knew it, she closed her eyes as tears rolled down her cheeks. DAMN! She swallowed the cookie and swallowed the milk, then with the back of her hand she dried only one side of her face. The other hand was holding her mound of cookies she had stashed between her arm and her side.

"Thank you," she said as she walked over and set the glass down. "Cookie?" Okay! So it was hard to start this conversation as it was easier on paper but in person, it just made it that much harder. She couldn't be mad at him this way and there really wasn't that much of a need to be angry at him for.

Miles watched as Fia took the glass from his hand and drank from it. He watched as her teary eyes blinked and the tears slid down her cheeks. Swallowing again he looked down at his slippered feet. He did that..he made her cry..but he couldn't pretend nothing was going on. He needed her to realize that once and for all.

"You're welcome." Moving toward a counter top he jumped up and sat on it looking around. "No..thanks. Not hungry," he never was when he was moody it seemed. Might make a note of that for later.

Fia swallowed one last time to make sure all the cookie went down, and the milk too. Another sigh was heard and it only meant one thing, one of them had to bring it up because they were here for a reason. "Miles, I hate this," she said as her eyes looked to him for help. "We just...need to talk about this." She couldn't be mad at him for a second when she was face to face with him. There was something about him that made her want to just run up and hug him and hold him...*sighs*

Miles looked up as Fia spoke and he sat back on the counter top. "Well I don't like it much better..." he muttered. He stared at Fia and sighed, "Fi...I don't want you to act that way every time you see me around Brody. And in a way...though you say you trust me...in a way it's as if you don't. It's an accusation to me as well. I feel..." Should he tell her?

Scratching the back of his head for a moment he brought it down smacking it against the counter top. "I feel like you're pushing us apart. Like I'm losing you and I wonder...if..." Sighing he looked at her and then down again, "If maybe us seeing each other as a couple was a bad idea...you're my best friend Fi but lately...it's been tough. It's never been tough with us."

"Oooh! Ice cream! Let's do it!"

And.. Ella was off too. Mmm.

Nate rushed in and he was in a hurry. He talked to the little elf. The little elf gave him a plate of heart shaped cookies and two really big hot chocolates. He said thanks and went to the common room.

Tobias grinned hesitantly at the girl. She seemed older...and very enthusiastic. About what exactly, he wasn't sure...

"A camera?" he asked, curious, inclining his head toward the object to get a better look. "Ooo. I'd love to try it!"


Tobias heard her talking to the house elf. "Digital? Er...What's that?"

Wait. Tobias did a double take. House elf. House elf. House elf! The whole purpose of his kitchen excursion, to find a house elf - and FOOD!

Tobias verbally pounced on the tiny creature. "Could you get me some food? Pretty please?" With perfect timing, Tobias' stomach performed a loud symphony of growls.

Carter stepped into the kitchen behind Kylie. They were greeted by a house elf. He ordered two ice creams and lead Kylie to a counter. The house elf soon returned with their ice creams.

"Whoa." Was all Kylie could say once she was seated and waiting for her ice cream. "It's like a little ice cream parlor.. or café or something!" Kylie couldn't help but stare at the scene around her, it was crazy. Plus, she'd never actually seen a house-elf. She'd just read about them and seen a couple pictures. "This is fantastic!" She exclaimed, dreamily looking around the room.

"That's what I thought too the first time I was down here." Carter said. He took a bite of his ice cream. "Mmmm... this is good." he said.

Kylie had never actually eaten Hogwarts ice cream. Upon taking her first scoop, she was forever in love. "Oh my gosh." she said, as she shoveled more into her face. She was hardly a pig in any way.. but this was AMAZING! "THIS ICE CREAM IS LIKE..." She wracked her brain for the word..."AMBROSIA!!!" She was super excited... ice cream was her favorite food back home.

Carter laughed a bit as Kylie shoveled in ice cream. He took another bite. "So tell me about yourself." he said wanting to get to know her a little better.

Nate walked in with his arm around Ella's waist and left her at the door to go whisper with the House elf.

"Can I get an extra big piece of red velvet cake with buttercream icing? And a cup of milk with two straws?"

He waited for the elf to return before returning to Ella. He gave her the milk to carry and said "Follow me." He held the door open for her and walked after her.

Ella did as she was told. She could hear only one song replaying in her head over and over again.

Ella sat down at a small table, crossing one leg over the other. She just couldn't wait until his party. She stuck the straws into the drink, and her fork into the cake. "You take the first bite," she ordered, smiling.

Nate took the bite off her fork and placed his hand on her leg seeing how thier knees were bumping. He realized it wasn't his right away but he left it there. It felt right. He fed her the next bite and took a sip of milk. "So, tell me about your family." he said rubbing her leg.

Kylie swallowed the ice cream and was about to open her mouth to answer Carter, "IS NO WHERE SAFE?!" She exclaimed, everywhere she went, her troubles seemed to follow. She sighed. "I...I..Ugh." She couldn't seem to finish her statement watching them. It wasn't jealousy.. it wasn't even bitterness, just loneliness.

Ella closed her eyes to his soft rubbing. His fingers were, after all, magical. Sipping more milk and taking the bite off his fork, she replied, "My parents work at St. Mungo's together; my father is a Muggle, but he takes a lot of interest in magic. Mum used to work at the Ministry, but she ended up resigning. She loves to help out people. And my brother graduated last year; his name is Hunter. He's exactly seven years older than me - coincidence? - and he was always bragging in my face about Hogwarts. It's nice to finally be here," she explained, grinning. "How about your family?"

Nate nodded in the approiate places and smiled at the end. "I'm an only child but my parents are both wizards. My mum works at the Minsitry she is a secrtary and my dad works at St. Mungo's too. Even though they both have jobs, we are quite poor. Moving over here from Flordia was alot of money. I moved here from another wizard school this year." he said eating another bite of cake.

Nate certainly didn't look poor to Ella. "Oh, well that's cool!" she smiled, "But I'm glad you moved here, or else a bunch of things wouldn't have happened, and I wouldn't be very happy either," she chuckled.

Nate smiled and fed her the last piece of cake. It "accidently" missed her mouth and went on her face. "Oops. Silly Me." he said wiping it off her cheek with his finger. He winked and licked his finger.
