Default Tree House

On the very edge of the forest is a massive tree that houses a wooden fort high up in its branches. A rope ladder hangs down from the lowest level for easy access.
From the Outside it looks to be small. Big enough to fit only four. maybe five at time. but once you come in through the latched door you'll find that the inside has been expanded. Wooden Benches stretch across the perimeter of the the indoors, each with a window you can open up to let the light filter in. Tables are placed at random around the inside, with small stools placed around each of them, just in case you wanted one more place to do all the Homework your Professor's are gonna pile up on you.

Oh is that a Shuffleboard Court painted into the floor, off to the side!!?? Yes it is! Use the Shuffleboard sticks, and pucks ONLY FOR SHUFFLEBOARD!

Just above you is a balcony that will overlook the rest of the inside. Two small couches sit up here for you to lounge, chit-chat, and NOT SNOG your significant other on.

Any damage caught being done to the Tree House will result in serious Consequence. Don't mess with Mr.Kirby.

Orsino barked to the two boys. the one in red still floating slightly off th ground. Removing his wand the Groundskeeper cast a quick Finite at the kid, and let him touch the floor boards.

Orsino could sense the sincerity, and nervousness in the young Hufflepuff's tone. The kid really hadn't meant to aim for the Gryffindor, despite their constant bickering. "Accident or not, 10 points from Hufflepuff for negligence in the use of your Magic, and casting it on another Student. I Expect the two of you will WORK with one another NOW!?" He crossed his arms, and was now standing firm. Anymore funny business, or if he catches them fighting once more...Tables will be flipped. "When you get them down here, I'll leave it up to you both to decide where the furniture goes, and I'll set it up." He was glaring at them harder, his one eyebrow almost raising entirely off his forehead.

Ian heard the words and his mouth dropped open as he heard them and there was a palpable pressure on his chest. TEN POINTS DEDUCTED! FOR AN ACCIDENT? were the thoughts going through Ian's head as he now glared at Bart. While he did his very best to maintain focus on his spell, which seemed to be working much better now that he was actually pointing at the chair his thoughts also drifted to horrible things that might befall Bart as he departed the Treehouse. He spoke to Bart through gritted teeth and a clenched jaw. Happy now? Big ole tattle-tale crybaby! He was ready to be done with this now and certainly ready to be done with the presence of one Barfolomew gryffie-boy.

Ian looked over the railing to see where they could put the chair. Obviously they would need to work together to make sure they didn't drop a chair on the groundskeeper (or anyone else who might be below them). Where should we put it? He asked in a curt tone.

He was in the air and the next moment he wasn't. Half throwing him self over the edge to see the groundskeeper "Thanks" He goofly smiled at the man before turning his attention back at the furniture. A glare formed as he saw book boy with his wand. "Do it again and you will have bat boogies." He had no clue how to do that hex, but puffer didn't know that.

Trying to hold in laughter when the boy got points taken he just stood there not saying a word. Served him right he knew he didn't it on purpose. Accident his thumb.

Noticing the other boy already starting on the chair and watched him levitate the one side. Yep he was just going to make the wimp do it all. If he was so good at his wand. Glaring for a few more moments he really wanted nothing to do with helping him, but he knew the groundskeeper would yell if he didn't.

Focusing the best Bart ever focused "Wingardium Leviosa" He lifted his end and then rolled his eyes. "Hey dunderhead are you deaf? He said to put it down there and once it's down we can figure out where to move it."

Now time to move it down on to book boys foot to the other level with the grounds keeper.

"You're welcome." But its true. What he said about Ella Quidditch skill and all. "Umm. Thanks. But I haven't played for a while so I'm a bit rusty. And there are a lot of good players this term." Like A LOT. And she just said that magic word. NEWTs. Just hearing someone said it make him shudder. "Don't worry you're not alone. And its normal. Its NEWTs after all." He's looking forward to graduate but NEWTs not so much.

I've been feeling really tired lately. "You should have stayed in be, Ells." Between school, Quidditch and Head Girl duties who know when this girl get her rest. "Umm. Do you want to rest on the bench?" Because he can move if she want.
Sending Alec to her dorm? Ella's cheeks turned a bit red at this but she tried not to make a big deal of it. They could just pretend she wasn't blushing right now, mmkay? Cool."I bet you'd miss each other if you weren't in the same room." Or maybe miss teasing each other, that was probably the better way to put it. "Chocolate frogs aren't breakfast, Mess." And oh gosh, who was she, his mother? The blonde wrinkled her nose, not believing she'd just said that. This added responsibility stuff was doing weird things to her brain. "Okay, it's a plan." As soon as the rain stopped, waffles would happen. Ella was smiling just thinking about it.

"Anytime. I'm sure you're not the only rusty one, y'know." Even Ella was a bit rusty considering she hadn't flown all summer. "You're right about the players, though. It's sort of great how many people are interested in Quidditch this term." Great and intimidating, of course. She was trying not to think too much about the latter. As for the NEWTs, the head girl was glad she wasn't the only one stressing. "Any clue what you want to do after Hogwarts?" Because NEWTs made her think of graduation and graduation meant the future and she had all kinds of questions about that.

"You sounded like Alec just now," She mused. He always seemed to be telling her to go to sleep, or to try and get more sleep, or to eat more. It was sweet that he worried, though. Speaking of sweet, "That's okay, Messer. I'll just nap later or something."

Oooh, ASHER, Adeline ran over to where he was. "Hey!" she grinned and wrapped her arms around him. "You doing Potions homework too?" she asked.
Asher stared at the first option for the homework assignment, Oh boy he didn't even.... It looked way to hard. Design a potion? Bleh.... he could get creative with this. If only he was creative with things like his.

He laid his head to the table. Good grief. He wasn't going to do this and Option 2 wasn't looking promising. Who was he suppose to blow fire on NO one was here. He was going to fail potions.

Or not, he heard steps and they were running. Toward him? He turned around and came face to face with Adeline. He grinned back at her. "Hey there." He hugged her back. "Yeah, I was but......" Hey she was here now option two was possible.

"Hang on." He turned back to his bag setting on the table. Digging through his bag he found his vital. He grinned. "Are you?"

Goodness.

Smiling at her new friend, Lux took one of the sticks and used it to hit the puck, attempting to get it into one of the squares on the board.

"Oh, boo! I missed it."
"I guess that's plenty for someone to like..uh...love them." BUT THEY HAVE HAIRY FEET. What was so cute about that? Y'know what was cute? Crups were cute. And regular muggle animals like dogs and cats and horses and things. Hobbits were people things and just...no. But whatever.

Charlotte laughed when she saw Lux had missed. Not exactly because she thought her missing was funny, but because she knew she was going to do just as bad. "Maybe if you hit it softer?" She did as Lux had done with the stuck and hit the puck but all it did was go somewhere to the right of the board.

"I guess aiming would be smart too?" Card games were so much easier than this.

Nod.

Charlie was starting to get it now! "Yeah, they are just amazing, and I wish I was one." Or if she couldn't be one, she wanted to at least have a Hobbit. Maybe a Hobbit topiary would be good enough. "They are cute like Pygmy Puffs and my cat, Mr. Mittens." She missed her cat, and wished he was with her at Hogwarts.

Knowing that Charlie was not making fun of her with the laughter, she paid no real mind to it, biting her lip as she tried to concentrate on the game. "Good idea," she said laughing as the other girl missed her shot too. This time she took it more gently, and managed to get the puck inside one of the squares. "I am sure that was pure luck!"

After a month or so at Hogwarts Ana still couldn't make heads or tails of the inside of the castle. Just the other day she'd walked into a bathroom when she was attempting to go to the Technology Center! Outside was a different story though. She had the grounds mapped out in tiny detail in her mind and so it was outside that she went to relax and maybe get some light reading done. Or, perhaps she'd just take in the view.

She'd only been to the Treehouse once and even then she hadn't gone inside, but as she was walking outside she decided that was where she would head. She smiled when she came to the base of the tree and looked up to judge how far she'd have to climb and thanked Merlin that she was wearing boots that were appropriate for climbing a rope ladder in. Why couldn't there be stairs?

Ana huffed in slight annoyance before she began to climb the ladder. She was right in that it didn't take her too long to make it to the Treehouse, but looking at it closer she doubted it would be a comfortable fit, until she opened the door. Of course it was enchanted. Still she hadn't come outside just to go inside again, despite choosing the Treehouse as her destination of choice, and so she climbed higher up to the balcony and dropped somewhat gracelessly onto the couch, dropping her book bag beside her. The climb had been worth it though, because the view from this height was amazing.

Man...

Smiling because Ves was the older student here and, once again, needed to be responsible, she uncorked the potion and carefully poured it into her mouth. SHE DID NOT SWALLOW IT, THOUGH...because she's seen that little Gryffindor First Year in class. He'd been...a most pitiful sight.

As she sat there with it in her mouth, she had to admit it wasn't that bad. Sure, it was a bit weird to just be sitting there with the potion in her mouth...but not too uncomfortable. Perhaps the First Year had swallowed a tiny amount, maybe? It was hard to know. The most difficult thing was forcing her reflex NOT to swallow...OKAY. She was ready to blow on the Slytherin.

Opening her mouth, she blew with as much force as she could...without spitting the potion on the Grace.

RAWR.....?
Grace was a little worried now. Sure she had done it herself, and hadn't blown fire all over Vesper. So that was at least kind of reassuring. Though she was kind of nervous that Vepser might spit potion all over her. That would not be fun. She did not want to be covered in spit. That would be pretty disgusting. She didn't mind swapping spit with boys, but that was totally different to having spit all over her face.

And then Vesper was breathing fire all over. Oooh. It felt weird. And not hot. Well kind of hot. More like warm. And not like burning her.

"It's warmm...." She giggled a big smile on her face. "And totally not burning....like hot air or something."

Ian saw that Bart had finally begun doing something to help him. As the chair began to levitate, Ian pulled his wand back toward himself to get the chair to come closer to him. We need to get it closer to me so when it goes over the rail, we don't need to move it as much to get it where we're should put it. Obviously, Ian knew better than Bart where to place the chair. Bart didn't seem the sort to sit around very long. He was more of a doer, as he would describe himself and Ian was more of a sitter. So he certainly knew where it should go. Odd thing though, it seemed that the chair wasn't going very much above his shin on Bart's side. HEY! you need to lift that side higher or we'll never get it over the rail.

Despite how amazing the majority of the Hogwarts grounds were, the treehouse was still at the top of his list of favourite places. The view from the very top, if you would make the effort to climb all the way up there, was pretty unique. You could see the entirety of the grounds and the castle too. It was where Terry was heading to today and he genuinely would make the effort to get all the way to the top, just so he could sit up there and procrastinate to himself, something he quite often enjoyed doing. A valid waste of his time.

As he approached, he briefly glanced up the rope ladder and then back down at his own footwear. Yep, he had definitely made a decent choice today. Trainers were the compulsory footwear if you didn't want any nasty accidents from occurring. He stepped in and climbed all the way to the top, only stopping briefly to glance into the actual house. It was always strangely busy, definitely popular amongst the students.

He pulled himself up to the balcony, only to see that there was another student that had beat him to it. "Hey" he greeted, heading towards the couch. "Do you mind some company?" he asked, plopping down next to her onto the sofa. Eh, it would be rude if she had refused him, Terry was comfy now anyway, he wasn't going anywhere.

Ana heard someone making their way up onto the balcony but didn't pay any mind to it. She just assumed that whoever they were they'd sit on the other sofa and leave her to her view watching, and maybe eventual productiveness. Though the longer she sat without opening her bag the more she doubted that she'd do anything but procrastinate.

Alright, apparently this other person was going to interrupt her silent reflections on the beauty of the nature all around them. Oh, and they were going to ask questions that they obviously didn't care about the answers too, since whoever this boy was he'd decided to sit down, on the same sofa before she could answer. How rude.

It was on the tip of Ana's tongue to tell the person that she very much minded him invading her personal bubble, she didn't mind that he was up on the balcony with her, but the words died in her throat when she turned to face the bubble breaker. There was a fit looking guy sitting next to her. Not that, that made much of a difference, just she was more okay with the bubble invasion. She hadn't minded the whole company thing much.

"Hi, and no, I don't mind," she said shooting him a bright smile. Although Ana did wonder what the boy would have done if she'd said she did mind.

If the initial look on this girl's face was anything to go by, she definitely didn't want any company, or at least she didn't want his. He waited patiently for a response, hoping that she would change her mind. He was comfortable here and this sofa had a better view than the other one did. Plus it wasn't like it belonged to anyone so he had every right to stay anyway.

Her response however, once she had finally actually looked at him was much more like he wanted to here. Though he wasn't entirely convinced. "Are you sure? I can leave if you'd like me to?" he suggested. She'd better not agree to that though. Terry was pretty good company after all. he was friendly and chatty and usually didn't have a bad word to say about anybody. Surely they'd be able to find something in common.

"I'm Terry" he smiled warmly at her, introducing himself by his nickname rather than having to go through the whole Terence but call me Terry thing like he had done when he had first come to the school.

A grin stayed on his face as Ian pulled the chair closer to himself, because if said chair fell because the boy wasn't paying attention it would at least not fall on him. It would be falling on the puffer. Yep that sounded like a good plan to him. Lazily he moved it toward Ian still not giving much effort.

He moved it over and then glared at the boy letting it drop down further. "Tell me what to do again and I'll make sure this falls on your foot or pushes you off." He wasn't going to have puffer boy boss him around, no way. Now they had to get this down there without falling on top of the groundskeeper as well. He chuckled to himself at that thought of the chair pushing the groundskeeper off the tree house. If he jumped off then Bart could jump with him. You know to make sure he wasn't hurt or anything.

He lifted the chair further and let it glide in the air with nothing underneath it. "Now count of three let's lower it."

"No, no, it's fine," Ana hurried to reassure him, giving her best friendly smile. After all he didn't look like a weirdo and he seemed nice enough, besides sitting down before she could answer his question. "I'd be glad for the company," she tacked on, hoping that would convince him that she was fine with him staying where he was. Had she looked too unwelcoming at first?

"I'm Ana," it was probably easier to tell him that than to go through the whole rigmarole of people saying her actual name was too hard to remember, like basically every other person she'd met had. They were lucky she didn't introduce herself by one of the nicknames her friends from home had for her and instead chose one that was easy to pronounce for people who only spoke English. Besides, she was pretty sure that Terry would be short for something as well.

Attempting to get more comfortable on the sofa now that her lounging space was limited a bit more, Ana angled herself more towards Terry. If he was sitting there, and if they were actually going to talk then this would make it easier. That was totally the only reason though.

He grinned. "Are you?"
Adeline set her books on the table, she sat down across from him. She looked back down at her notes for the homework assignment, this wouldn't ben all that hard, would it? She kinda almost dozed off in that class but that wasn't the professors fault, she wasn't getting all that much sleep.

The seventh year nodded, she waved her book around at her boyfriend. "Yeah, thats why my books and notes are on the table." she said sarcastically. Adeline looked at the homework assignment again, it made sense to her but it didn't make sense to her, did that even make sense?

And oh gosh, who was she, his mother?

He chuckled when Messer saw Ella's cheek turned into tomatoes after he said he want to send Alec to her dorm. "Miss each other? Nah. If he move I will have the dorm to myself." Oh wait, they still have that new transfer guy. What's his name again? Sander? And Nate too. He almost forget that guy. Back to Ella. "They're not?" BLINK. They should put Chocolate frogs to the breakfast menu because its tasty and really good. "Sure" Hold on. Was that mean they're going to the kitchen? "Are you gonna make the waffles or they have it in the Great Hall for breakfast?" Because he never EVER see they served waffle before.

Hearing the former Captain said that to him was a bit comforting. What did she mean by he's not the only one? Was she mean she's a bit rusty too? No way. Ella was always too modest. "Yeah." His biggest regret was he didn't get a chance to play while Ella was still a Captain. What he want to do after Hogwarts? "I want to be the next Wizard Architect. So my next stop will be Wizarding University." Probably the one that far FAR AWAY from home. "What about you? Are you going to pursue a career in Quidditch?" Because that would be really cool. She's really great Quidditch player after all.

"I did? Well, maybe because we're both concerned about you." She's his friend. friend allowed to be concern, right? "Okay then if you say so." But she better get some nap later.

As the chair got closer, Ian was a little nervous that Bart might consider this a perfect opportunity for payback at being levitated. Hopefully the groundskeeper's threats would keep that at bay.

Ian was focusing on getting the chair up and raising it higher, since Bart wasn't giving much effort when Ian heard Bart's response to his command. Listen! The sooner we get this done, the better. You wouldn't have been my first choice of partner, but now we're at it, might as well do it right! This was so much of a challenge, Ian wasn't sure it had been worth offering to help.

As the chair rose, he heard Bart say on 3 they would let it down. You counting or am I? Ian asked as he watched the chair hover over the next level with nothing but their focus to keep it from falling below.

Terry grinned when she agreed that it was okay for him to stay, glad that she was actually accepting his company. It would've been so awkward if she had refused, though he would've stayed anyway, just in case she changed her mind. "Well that's good. I think I'm pretty good company after all." He got along with everyone and anyone, a trait that Terry was hoping to keep for as long as it was possible.

"Ana? Cool. That's pretty easy to remember." None of those fancy names that Terry had no hope of pronouncing. Not that he didn't like them, they were elaborate and sounded exotic. He'd just hate to have to write them down. She had adjusted the way that she was sitting and Terry thought about what to say next. He'd got bored of the whole 'I'm a Slytherin' introductions since he'd had to say it every time he met a new person since arriving in second year.

"Are you new here?" he questioned. "Either that or I've been living under a rock. I just don't think I've ever seen you around here." Though to be perfectly honest, he had in theory spent the last term in the Common Room and socialising had been a thing of the past. Perhaps she had been here a while. "And if the latter is correct, I've obviously been missing out" he chuckled.

Apparently Terry wasn't modest. If his boasting about being good company was anything to go by. It did make her smile though. It also proved that he was probably somewhat confident, which was always a good trait to have. She just hoped he wasn't also cocky. Well too cocky in any case. Some cockiness could be a good thing.

Another person commenting on how easy it was to remember the name Ana. And this time she hadn't even given her full name. She wondered if he would remember if she told him her name was Anastasia. Not that it mattered because the introductions were over.

Was it that obvious? Could everyone tell that she was a transfer or something? Nearly everyone she'd met had asked if she was new. It probably didn't help that most of those people asked her that due to her being lost but still! Did she have a sign on her or something? Oh. Oh well, that was rather nice of him to say.

Ana couldn't help the blush that made it's way to her cheeks at Terry's final statement and ducked her head to hide her face behind her hair as she composed herself. So he was confident and charming. She could deal with that. It would probably make this conversation more enjoyable in any case.

"Oh, you've definitely been missing out, but then it appears so have I," Ana stated confidently as she looked back up eyes locking on Terry's. There was nothing wrong with a bit of flirtation on her part, right? Even though it was likely to lead nowhere it was enjoyable. "This is my first year here though, so you've not been missing out too long," in terms of the time that he'd had any chance of knowing her. Obviously he'd really been missing out for years but that wasn't any fault of his.

Did he just come across as arrogant? That was one thing Terry was not. He liked to jokingly 'big up' himself but it was never sincere and that was a kind of Slytherin type thing to say. He'd agree that he was confident in himself but never arrogant. He hoped that Ana didn't think he was either, people generally didn't enjoy the company of people who were so self obsessed they only ever talked about themselves.

He tilted his head as he spotted the blush that came to her cheeks, the corner of his lips curling up into a half smile. Well that was intriguing and didn't happen that often. The Slytherin glanced away as she hid her face, pretending that he hadn't noticed anything at all, half tempted to whistle like he was completely distracted in his own thoughts.

But she spoke up again and he turned back to see her looking up again. "Is that true?" he chuckled. She did seem like a very nice girl and around his age, maybe the year below. Definitely the sort of person he liked to make friends with. "Then hopefully this year I will have the pleasure of claiming you to be my friend." Though he didn't have much longer left in school, it was a scary thought.

"Did you transfer?" he asked, genuinely interested. People were so diverse in this school, came from all different places with a multitude of backgrounds. It was fascinating to hear everyone's stories.

Ana was grateful when she noticed that Terry hadn't seemed to be looking at her when the embarrassing blush happened. She was much happier to think that he hadn't noticed that. But well, it was awhile since a guy had complimented her like that. So Bay had called her awesome earlier this term, it didn't count.

"It is. I've been told that I'm pretty awesome. In fact you should count it an honour to even be in my presence right now with how amazing I am," Ana said mock seriously her eyes alight with mischief. Although she did think she was pretty amazing she also knew not to take herself too seriously. Hopefully Terry didn't think that she was conceited now. If he did...well if he did she couldn't really do much about it. "Perhaps you will," Ana said with a slight incline of her head and a twitch of her lips. He seemed nice enough and if he kept being nice then she'd definitely be willing to call him her friend.

"Mhm, from Mahoutokoro. Though I was at Durmstrang and Beauxbatons before that," she replied. "What about you, have you always been a student here?" Ana asked. She was genuinely interested, if only for the fact that the majority of people she'd met here were transfers or had been homeschooled for at least one year before starting their education at Hogwarts. Of course she knew that at least some people came here their first year it was just a strange pattern that was emerging.

Could he look back now? Good.

He didn’t want to look like he was getting distracted by something else. That was rude and unfriendly, not what Terry wanted to come across as. Her next words definitely made him chuckle. A smirk etched its way across his face as he looked at her. “Let me guess, you’re a Slytherin as well?” he asked. It was just such a Slytherin thing to say, even in a joking manner which it clearly was. “I must say, I am honoured” he bowed his head in ‘respect’ and then looked up with a wink. He did hope that they would form a friendship. He’d get to know half the school if he could. It was great to form social ties, the better connected you were the more likely you were to enjoy school. Plus Ana was someone it seemed easy to get along with, why wouldn’t he want to get to know her?

Well that was an extremely exotic sounding place. His eyes widened with interest. “Where’s that?” he questioned. He’d heard of the latter two though, his twin sister attending Beauxbatons herself. He shook his head at her question however. “I started in my second year. I was homeschooled by my mother and uncle for the first year.” It was an interesting experience to say the least but Terry much preferred being at Hogwarts. “I think this school is the best, I wouldn’t go back and I certainly wouldn’t leave.” It seemed rare that anyone ever left the school.

He was laughing at her? Not cool, Edvard Messer. Nudges for you. Ella shook her head at him in mock disapproval too. "Meany." She wasn't too bothered, though. At least not enough to hex him. The blonde's eyebrows raised at Messy's comment about having a dorm to himself. "I'm sure it'll still be a mess, y'know. You boys need a maid or something." GRIN! And no, she wasn't offering to help clean anytime soon. "I don't...know where that came from. I like chocolate frogs. I swear Oakey brainwashed me or something." Next she'd be forcing veggie drinks down Messer's throat O_O EEP. Anyway...waffles, yes. "I'll make them. I've gotten pretty good at it. You can help." And wasn't it nice how she'd declared he would help and not asked. So thoughtful, Ella was.

"Either way, it'll be okay, yeah?" He knew that, right? And besides, he had those pom poms for good reason. He could always be the Hufflepuff Cheerleader again. She really did hope they made the team together, though. Wait, a wizarding architect? "That's...really cool, Messy." Seriously. Ella smiled a little at him before considering her own answer. "I think I'll go to uni, actually. I dunno. I'm still sort of on the fence, I guess."

Concerned about her? This...made Ella frown slightly. She quickly corrected herself so that her expression was neutral but still. "I'll be fine, really. I'm a big girl." So no more worrying. She could handle stuff, promise.

I was homeschooled by my mother and uncle for the first year.” It was an interesting experience to say the least but Terry much preferred being at Hogwarts. “I think this school is the best, I wouldn’t go back and I certainly wouldn’t leave.” It seemed rare that anyone ever left the school.
"How'd you know?" Ana asked, slightly taken aback. Was it a Slytherin trait to be conceited or something? Was she becoming conceited? Maybe she should look closer into the characteristics those in her house were meant to have. It barely registered that Terry had said as well, thus implying that he was a Slytherin too. And yet she'd never met him before. Maybe Ana needed to spend more time in the Common Room and less time getting lost or outside if she was missing out on meeting other awesome people from her own house.

When Terry bowed his head in respect Ana couldn't help but laugh at him. As soon as she'd regained control of herself she hopped off the sofa and straightened out her skirt. "The honour is all mine good sir," she told him while curtseying gracefully, keeping her eyes locked on his as she raised herself. As she sat back down next to him Ana decided that they probably would get along quite well. For now it appeared as though they had a similar sense of humour.

"It's in Japan," Ana told him, figuring that he probably knew about the other two schools she'd mentioned. Basically everyone in Europe did. Even Ana, with her severe lack of map reading skills knew where they were located. "Oh. Was homeschooling interesting? I've met a few people who say that it was good, but then others who didn't like it at all." Privately Ana thought she might have liked it better than going to Beauxbatons. "I like it here too, it's definitely preferable to other schools I've been too. I'd like it more if the staircases stayed still though," Ana revealed, a small pout forming at the thought of those blasted stairs. She couldn't count the times she'd gotten lost because they changed while she was half-way up them.

It was quite easy to determine what houses people were in by their personalities. The hat usually got it right and although there were people, like Terry, who probably crossed traits with more than one house, he could usually decipher it out. "Slytherin intuition?" he suggested with a small chuckle. It was just a Slytherin thing to say, something he himself would throw up on occasion. Obviously only in a joking manner, he wasn't arrogant. "Don't worry, its definitely the best house" he grinned. Why wouldn't it be? They had the common room under the lake and you could see all the different creatures. The perfect location for the creature loving sixth year.

Well he was definitely glad to see that the mock bowing of his head had made her laugh. Cheering people up was a great pastime and a personality trait that would stick for a long time. She got up and curtsied. He raised his brow but smiled all the same. "You flatter me" he chuckled, surprised that he could actually speak like this. It was strange, how both your behaviour and language could change depending on who you were with. He was much more casual among his dormmates than he was with a stranger. Though hopefully she wouldn't be a stranger for long.

Oh that was interesting. His mum had been to Japan more than once on work related business but he had never had the opportunity to. It sounded like a fascinating place. "You're well traveled" he commented. Although Terry had visited a lot of places, he had never moved from his home on the Isles of Skye.

Homeschooling wasn't particularly interesting. "It got a bit boring after a while. I was only with my twin so I never got to interact with people my age. That's why I much prefer school. I can be sociable here" Form those social ties that would last a lifetime. Oh the staircases! They could definitely be a nuisance. "They do take you off in completely the wrong direction sometimes. You've got to be quick." Easy said than done though. Even if you were running up them they could change direction at any moment.
