We now have a video of Dan Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths (Vernon) presenting the gong for Best Play at the Tony awards ceremony this evening, which can be seen below:
you can see how comfortable Dan is with Richard, like a kid to a grandpa . Richard has been so invaluable not just as a fellow actor but as a mentor (in a way). he was there when Dan was starting with the HP movies. he was there again when Dan started out in the West End and now again in Broadway.

Watching this live was so much fun! Dan was really professional, but you could tell he was thrilled to be there. (He'll probably be there next year for some nomination for the play Equus.) But Richard Griffiths with his "magic" line was very clever and witty. It was good to see them. And congrats to the winning play!
That was cool and Best Play is a very important award to present, isn't it? Wouldn't that be one of the most important. I never watch the Tonys so I don't know much about that but it would seem that way.
