Tom Felton gives tour of Universal Studio Hollywood's Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Tom Felton gave a walking tour of the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood, set to open to the world this coming Thursday morning, April 7th, at 7am PST.
The Draco Malfoy actor tested some toys at Zonko's Joke Shop, tasted some sweets at Honeydukes, stood through a wand choosing at Ollivander's, and walked through Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which holds the first 3D Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride in the United States. Tom commented on some of the foods and drinks, as well as wands, during the tour this past Thursday.
"It’s amazing that they took the time and made the food and drinks from Hogwarts a reality," says Felton. "And a frozen one is particularly good when it’s hot."
But after a meeting with a Wandkeeper at Ollivanders, makers of fine wands, Felton was sorted with his own.
"I didn’t have one, but I do now. They didn’t let us keep the real ones," says Felton. "You’d think there would be thousands of them, but they only had two of mine."
"When we were filming, they sewed these pockets up because I would put chocolate and sweets in there," says Felton.
Festivities for the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter begin this Tuesday evening with a red carpet gala event and ceremony inside Hogsmeade Village, and the grand opening ceremony right before 7am PST on Thursday, April 7th.
