One magazine, a French publication, recently ran a behind-the-scenes feature on Half-Blood Prince, in which they mentioned Regulus Black flashbacks. Quote:
"In these flashback scenes, we will also see how Regulus Black, Sirius' younger brother, was enlisted by the Death Eaters and how he was killed by Voldemort."

Even though there weren't supposed to be any R.A.B flashbacks in HBP, if they had to do one, why are they going to make Regulus Black killed by Voldemort?

this isnt exactly a change-- more like a tweak. wasnt this found in HBP, or at least one of the books, or even JKR saying something about this? from what i could recall Regulus joining the Death Eaters and being killed by Voldemort is canon.

^ It seems vaguely familiar but I think we only heard it through Kreacher in Deathly Hallows. We never actually got to 'see' it for ourselves.

He was left in the cage after he switched the lockets and got killed by the
Inferi, Kreacher told Harry about this in DH. I guess they changed it in the movie. | |

OMG!! that would be CRAZY awsome! though he was not killed by voldy.. he was killed by inferi..Sirius thinks some minor death eater killed him..so maybe some other wizard who also heard the story is telling harry about it? idk..i hope its somthing like that..cuz i dont want them to change it around!!

yes that's it - Regulus gives Kreacher the Horcrux and orders him to return home before the inferi take him.
It'll be interesting to see how he comes to be killed by Voldermort in the movie? More importantly why the producers chose to change the storyline in this way!!! Take a deep breadth everyone, I'm sure it wont be too bad.

Perhaps "Killed by Voldemort" could infer not a direct killing, but indirect... as in if it wasn't for Voldemort wanting the locket to be put in the cave, Regulus wouldn't have been there to take it back and thus get killed?
Its a stretch I know... but it would at least keep it to the canon....

the people who are making the movie maybe haven't read DH since we only learn stuff about Regulas in DH not HBP. I hope this doesn't mess things up with the DH movies

Um, "killed by Voldemort"? What the mother? The last time I checked, Regulus died in the cave, not in Voldemort's hands. I like this flashback, but if they show a clip where he's killed by Voldy -- so help me!

Hmm..I am not sure that's neccesary for the plot progression and its is rather jumping the gun, even though we all knew who RAB was by the end of the HBP. It definitely isn't accurate, as people have mentioned, V-Diddy didn't kill Regulus directly and I'd be rather resentful if that was put in the film.
