He was 45. Hudson worked on special effects for features including "Alien," "The Empire Strikes Back," "Jurassic Park," and the "Dinotopia" miniseries. Originally from England, he moved to Northern California in 1987 to work for Chris Walas Inc., and went on to work for Disney, Henson, Industrial Light & Magic and Western Images. He returned to London in 2002 to be closer to his family, and worked with the Framestore. At the time of his death he was working on "Harry Potter (news - web sites) and the Prisoner of Azkaban." He is survived by his mother and stepfather, two sisters, a nephew and four nieces. |

Bleurgh. He must've been pretty good. I mean Jurassic Park, Dinotopia ... Wow. Shame we didn't really know much about him. It's sad, but he must've lived an amazing life. What's more sad is that he passed away at such a young age. :( |
