Philosopher's Stone "best read of the past 25 years"? Philosopher's Stone, amongst many others books, has made it into the top 100 (38th) in a Waterstone's poll investigating the best reads of the past 25 years. To vote for your choice, go here. Voting closes May 4th. The UK and Ireland's favourite book of the last 25 years will be announced on May 16th. Additionally Waterstone's, in conjunction with The Telegraph, are conducting the Great British Literary Census, to explore reading habits and also to gauge how excited readers are about the release of Deathly Hallows. |

Awseome news. Will definitely vote for PS. Go HP! |
I took the census. Some of the questions could've had more options. Like the Shakespeare one; I agree he should be taught as a part of the curriculum but I don't agree that he's the most important writer ever. Other fantastic playwrights, such as John Webster, who was around the same time, often get overshadowed. |
I've voted for HP and I'm now doing the census. |
