Oliver Phelps set to star in Pablo Picasso biopic, Latin Quarter
 

Southern Rising Productions has confirmed that Harry Potter star Oliver Phelps (George Weasley in the series), will be portraying the role of absurdist literature French writer Alfred Jarry in the upcoming production of Latin Quarter:

The film, which is set to begin production in the UK this coming March, also stars Avan Jogia (as Picasso), Dean Cain, Martin Landau, John Ratzenberger and Kevin Sorbo.

Latin Quarter also has an official Twitter for fans to keep up with in regards to the production of the film. The movie is currently set for a 2012 release. We hope to have more information on the project and Oliver's involvement soon.

Good for Oliver! There were folks who actually thought the twins would have trouble finding work. I love that fact that these young people can finally branch out.

I'm so happy to hear this! So far we've mostly heard of Dan, Rupert, Tom and Emma's upcoming projects, so it's very nice to know that others are moving on to new things as well, whether it's acting or something totally different :) I wish all of them will have a great career whatever they decide to do in their life :)
It's also kind of strange to imagine Oliver without James... even though they're two separate persons of course, but we're just so used to seeing them together :D But i'm sure they're both happy to be able to do things on their own.
